convenience
a chair to relax in instead of having to lay in the bed
5.0
Comfortable sheets and great water pressure in the shower. The location is super convenient to shopping and restaurants.
The layout of the Yonah Suite, the discomfort of the chairs, staff not flexible with check in times. There are no curtains in the room despite the bright Christmas lights hung outside the windows. The picture was taken at 9:30 pm.

Location, easy to walk to everything in town
The bed was super lumpy

Convenient location. We walked to the shops and restaurants and didn’t have to move the car until our getaway was over.
It could use some black out curtains. There was a lot of light coming in around the blinds.

Location is excellent. Room was very clean and tidy. All the furnishings and stuff look fairly new. Parking right outside the door - that's excellent. Other than the idiots on super loud motorcycles going through town, there's not a lot of noise that gets into the room. The property owners did an excellent job of communicating which suite we were in, how to get into the suite, where to park, etc. That's good, since there's not a warm body onsite to tell us these things. Overall, this is really a nice place, other than the few exceptions below.
1. There was a string of very bright Christmas lights along the gutters outside. The blinds do a very poor job of keeping that light out, so the whole room was lit up fairly bright all...night...long. Also, the outside porch light can't be turned off either, that I could find.
2. As others have mentioned, there are large gaps between the blinds and the wall, so it's possible to see in from outside. Either some simple sheers on the sides, or blinds mounted inside the window casement would fix this.
3. The bed was hard. I sort of like a soft bed, this was a pretty hard bed. I can't say I slept very well on it. Thankfully, it was only one night.
4. After they add in the "cleaning" fee and the "facilities use" fee (what???), this costs as much as the nicer hotels.
These were minor, picky things. Overall this is a really nice place, and it's located very close to the shops/restaurants. I say it's a fair trade, especially if all the hotels are booked.

location very close yo downtown, quiet, next to grocery and restaurants

We liked the location, the cleanliness, the biblical verses on the wall art, the dishes, flatware provided, the microwave, refrigerator, and sink. We, also, liked the shower head in the bathroom, the floor space of the bedroom and bathroom, and ability to park our car so close to our room. The bedding and queen bed was comfortable. The ceiling fan kept the air circulating. We appreciated the texts checking on our satisfaction with the room.
We didn't like that the vertical gap in the bathroom and front window shades people outside our room could see inside our room. The freezer in our refrigerator had caked on ice and needed to be defrosted. There was a lack of bath towels and washcloths for two people staying for three nights (3 bath towels and 3 washcloths). We needed at least a small dining table (compact) and a chair for eating our meals. There needs to be a secondary smaller step outside of the entry doorway. Cable television is preferred instead of just Roku (it was not user friendly). There needs to be an easier lock or code to enter the residence (we arrived, later than expected, in the cold rain and darkness and tried for over 30 minutes to enter the room by instructions for coded door lock and it didn't work). There needs to be larger trash cans provided in each room.

The location and the appearance of being newly remodeled
Rudeness of staff on phone to access room, sheets appeared to be used, soap had been used and put back in bad, needing additional towels, washcloths took 6 hours, toilet does not properly flush

All in all, Upcountry Inn is a perfect option for a fun, easy getaway. The location is ideal if you want to be near the action without being in the middle of it. Downtown Helen is a relaxing stroll away, making the room the perfect getaway when you want to escape the hustle and bustle. Plus, with Betty's being a literal stone's throw away, anything you might need is always in reach.
In terms of positives, the room was the perfect size, being neither too small nor too spacious. It was cozy, but with enough room to not feel trapped or boxed in. The level of cleanliness was exceptional, almost to the point of operating-room standards. The bed was very comfortable, albeit very high off the floor, which was neither good nor bad, just interesting.
In terms of negatives, there really weren't any. The only suggestion I would make is to provide one extra set of towels. While one set per person seems reasonable, it doesn't allow for hair towels, or any wiggle room before having to ask for more. Again, not a negative, just something to consider.
Also, the proximity to the road may be an issue for anyone who is a lite sleeper. Fortunately, Helen is pretty quiet during late-night and early-morning hours, so it's not a big deal. But it is one of those things that might be worth knowing for some.

great accommodations but not alot of seating area could have used a couch instead of a small love seat

It’s location to attractions and restaurants.
Love having a coffee pot, but should have warned no coffee or filters. The church chimes next door might annoy some people. We were good with it.

Location and cleanliness was excellent. When I called about door code, they were very responsive.
The bed was too soft and we were not sent door code.

You get an email with the key code for the lock pad, but the internal rooms names are not marked on the exterior door so sometimes you have trouble knowing which door to use to get into the inside hall way.

Overall, the Unicoi Suite is beautifully decorated and absolutely spotless which is extremely important to us. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The location was excellent and very easy to find, no driving into neighborhoods or mountain roads trying to find an address! It was a very short walk to have breakfast at Hofer's Bakery, dinner at Hofbrauhaus Restaurant, drinks and snacks next door at Betty's General Store. It was lively area during the day and very quiet for sleeping at night. Short walk to the main part of downtown Helen for shops and other restaurants and taverns. Would absolutely stay here again or recommend to friends!
We stayed in the Unicoi Suite and although the room was very clean and very pretty, we found the lack of two inside chairs or a little worktable an inconvenience especially for remote work. Even a small TV tray folding table would have helped. Also it would be nice if there was a little side table for the microwave and coffee maker instead of having the coffee maker sit on top of the microwave and the microwave sit on top of the little refrigerator. Opening the door of the refrigerator made things sitting on top of microwave to fall off. The last thing was not having extra pillows, we forgot to bring ours. There were only 2 pillows on the bed and most places we stay there are always 4-6 pillows.

Location was great. Proximity to activities and next to Betty's.
Noisy location/ room on the edge of a busy street; bed was not very comfortable and both I and my wife kept rolling to the center; vomit from someone coming in late all over exit stairs and by door on Sunday AM as we were trying to pack up to leave. No one on site to report it to - less an issue with the lodging but rather how it is staffed and the folks you rent to.

We have been ripped off by this place, we payed 234$ while the price at Booking was 90! They charged 83 $ for cleaning fees for one night. Ain't it redicoulous??. We payed 234 $ for country side mediocre motel a d payed for a premium gateway city 5 star hotel.. A simple broad daylight rip off
A rip off!!
