The set-up of the house and yard were excellent - great for a family. Tidy and clean for adults, but also comfortable for kids. The toys and books were a really nice touch. We had everything we needed. Location-wise, the proximity to Mt Rainier National Park was excellent. In the other direction, we could get to Ashford restaurants and amenities in minutes. The highlight on this particular heat-wave week was the LAKE across the street. It's actually hard to see from the description, but you walk out the door and across the street to a clear little lake that is quite shallow and has a little sand step for small kids. Our 6 and 4 year olds paddled to the floating dock and the 1 year old splashed in the shallow spot. Had it not been so hot, we would have definitely spent some time barbecuing in the yard. The neighborhood it great - seems like a lot of friendly locals, which was nice.

There wasn't really anywhere to store the food we brought. I think having a shelf somewhere - maybe the far-right pantry - would solve it :) But not a deal-breaker. We made it work for those couple days.

We enjoyed our 2- night stay. It’s in a quiet location. The lake cabin is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed using the hot tub, bbq grill, and fire pit. Bring your swimsuits and floating devices if you want to swim in the lake.

This was my first time renting a house & it could not have been better! The hosts were lovely & supported us in any way. The home was so charming! All the dishes, etc that you could want, a wonderful hot tub to relax in at the end of a long day of hiking, and it's closeness to getting into the park was more invaluable than I thought it would be as we were so wiped out and got more time for hiking since not driving so far. The owners have truly put much thought into how to make this a dream vacation home. 😍 They even had a slew of DVDs to watch (tho only ever found the time to watch 1). We even got to watch a deer fawn in the yard next door munching on grass completely ok w us being close to him. He'd look at us and then go back to eating. I highly recommend this home to everyone!

I wish that there was a drying rack. Ended up "creating" one by using a baby gate that they had. Very hard to get the towels to dry. An additional fan for upstairs would be lovely. Tho the combo lock for the door is great in theory, but we spent a decent amount of time each time trying to get it to open. Not sure why. Thankful that the key was available when needed. Overall, minimal things.

Excellent location close to the park entrance. We enjoyed access to the lake right in front of the house. We were really excited about the hot tub though we ended up visiting during a really warm weekend! There was plenty of room and enough beds for everyone in our group of 5. The kitchen had everything we needed. We spoke with the hosts once on the phone and they were very friendly and helpful!

The WiFi was a bit slow but overall it worked for our purposes!

This cabin had everything you need to enjoy some solitude in the mountains. Location was conveniently located near the National Park. Neighborhood was quiet. Hot tub was awesome! Beds were comfortable. Games and foosball and books are available. Highly recommended for a family trip or romantic getaway.

I wish the hot tub had been hot the first night (only 88 F). It warmed up nicely by day two. Other than that, the stay was great!

The house is clean and tidy the keys are in a locked box if need to access with code, and there is a door code as well. Everything is detailed and explained clearly. It is so close to the access of Longmire, Mount Rainier, you don't have to drive hours to enter. The town has cute little local restaurants and everything is cozy and relaxing. Across the house is a small lake if you want to take a swim or sit and just admire.

The only thing is the AC unit was not as cool as it was upstairs, but it was not a real problem because the mornings are still so cool it felt comfortable.

The location was great. Instructions were informative.

The whole place is so welcoming. Easy to find and very secure. The interior was open and comfortable. They had plenty of amenities and everything was easy to find. Superb place for family relaxation and fun. Great location with a small lake across the way. Perfect for exploring.

The hot tub was a little low on water. It was enjoyable though.

I thought the location was excellent being right next to the National Park! Very cozy and warm home. I would stay here again this was a great experience and I had a wonderful Valentine's weekend trip.

Nothing that I can think of. There were many directions, and I loved the layout of the home! This would be a great place to stay if you have a bigger family as well! I am so happy that I was able to rent this spot.

Everything was very accessible and clearly marked. There were different towels for bathing and the spa bath. It was very homely and relaxing.

Great location. Very close to the park. Easy access . Plenty of room. Hot tub was a nice post hike treat. Very responsive owner/host. Some good restaurants in town.

Just an FYI, Ashford is a SMALL town. I recommend getting groceries (and any liquor you may want) before arriving. Two small markets (wine and beer only) in Ashford with limited supplies. Hit the supermarket in Tacoma or Eatonville. BTW Double T meats in Eatonville is fantastic.

Great hosts, very responsive. Fantastic location, so close to Rainier NP. Wonderful amenities, the hot tub soak after a long days hike was great!

What a great place to stay! Myself, son, DIL and 3 grandchildren (ages 5, 7, 10) had such a good time here--the playground and shallow lake across the street provided easy diversion while the Foosball table and hot tub were a big hit! Fully equipped kitchen, laundry and TV made us feel at home. Beds were comfortable and shower/bathroom was good. Would stay here again and have already recommended it to family and friends!

This place was amazing. Very comfortable and it felt like home. It is right across from a park and beautiful lake you could swim in. The best part is the proximity to Mt. Rainier National Park.

The house was very clean and comfortable.

I did not realize that right across the street there was public access to the small lake. There was a playground there and families with children. At times it was a little noisy and not as private as I would like, but on the flip side it was nice to have the lake right across the street.
