Not your run of the mill guest house. Hosts were exceptional, from the welcome received on arrival and the care and attention during our stay. Breakfast second to none! Rooms lovely and location ideal. Even had off road parking. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.

we stayed at beacon house for the first time . from the very beginning to the end of our stay was extremely wonderful experience . wonderful welcome by the hosts nothing to much trouble . room was wonderful with a balcony overlooking the harbour couldn’t have wished for anything better .Breakfast was first class great choice of menus . would definitely go back and would highly recommend

The location of the property is excellent, with amazing views over Brixham harbour. The room was a good size and was spotlessly clean. The property has it’s own parking area, which is really convenient. There’s a lovely outdoor seating area, again with beautiful views.

Excellent breakfast with superb choice, extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgable hosts, nice room with sea view, private off road parking. Good choice of local restaurants all within walking distance.

The most friendly & welcoming hosts you could wish for - they went above & beyond to make our stay very special. They have an outstanding knowledge of the local area and are happy to share their knowledge. The B&B was beautiful- spotlessly clean with a rustic charm. The bed was the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in . Views of the harbour were stunning. The breakfast was just outstanding- such an amazing choice & cooked to perfection. We really looked forward to this each morning. We had a perfect stay in this real gem and cannot wait to go back !

Spotlessly clean and stylishly furnished Beacon House is a gem! The hosts are friendly and welcoming, while the breakfast is outstanding with a wide choice of cooked and fresh ingredients that would put to shame many 5star hotels! Within a short walk of the harbour and with beautiful views of marina, harbour and sea from the well appointed bedrooms - this is the best B&B we have ever visited.

Food could have been more basic.Ceilings very low and banged our heads a lot.

My husband and I have stayed in countless B&Bs all over the UK over the past few years and have never stayed in a better place than Beacon House Hotel. First impressions: a beautiful house high above Brixham Harbour with ample parking on site, then a warm welcome from the hosts Hervé and Nathalie. Our room, Beacon Room, was immaculate with beautiful décor and views over the harbour and beyond and with a superbly comfortable super king bed. They provided us with lots of local info especially where (and where not) to eat. The breakfasts are just out of this world, something for every taste and so beautifully presented.

The location is not for the faint-hearted - steep steps and tricky manoevering a large car around the local streets. But that is nothing to do with the Beacon House Hotel proprietors!

Hervé and Nathalie are great hosts!! There is a wide selection of home made breakfast to choose from! It is cooked to perfection! We stayed in the Bay View room! The balcony view is great, the bed is very comfortable and the shower room is spacious with plenty of natural light!!! There is parking on the premises (a real bonus in Brixham!) and an electric car which charger is available to use. we will definitely stay at Beacon House (Hervé and Nathalie) next time we come back to Brixham as this is a beautiful part of England!! ❤️

Everything was great!

The stay was fantastic because the owners clearly are passionate about what they do. The food was excellent and lots of choice. The room was equipped with lovely bed, quality towels and bedding and lots of thoughtful touches. The property boasts a lovely view and the gardens would be a real treat to sit out in when the weather was warmer. The town and harbour were a short walk away - for those who can manage slopes and steps. The proprietors made us feel most welcome and were very accommodating when we needed to leave our car there longer.

I can think of nothing that could have improved our stay we thoroughly enjoyed everything.

It’s really close to the harbour and the best of Brixham. The view from our room was unbeatable and the accommodation was spotlessly clean, charmingly decorated, and everything worked. The hosts were wonderful company and provided superb service. The menu, the quality ingredients and the chef’s flair made for outstanding breakfasts. We really appreciated the advice given about where and what to eat in town - all Herve’s tips were spot-on. The whole weekend was a joy and one we can’t wait to repeat later this year.

Literally nothing. If you are not happy here it is because you want a different sort of weekend or maybe high quality food is not a big thing for you.

The room was beautiful, incredibly clean and the bed was super comfy. The views were stunning. The breakfast was incredible and the hosts were lovely.

Our stay matched our expectations, from pre-travel communication and meeting on arrival to Car Parking and facilities. The en-suite room was spotless with plentiful choice of tea/coffee and complimentary bottled water. The range and choice of breakfast was superb and genuinely to the highest standard. Herve and Nathalie were both very knowledgeable of the area, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Trusted recommendations for restaurants, and always found the time for you.

The location was even better than expected, the views from the room and garden were spectacular. The position is high over the harbour, so access is uphill, but it is certainly worth it. Both hosts are trained Chefs and it was very obvious from the choice and quality of all the breakfast items we tried. No detail was overlooked to make us feel safe and pampered.

It would be almost impossible to improve.
