The Cottage was not as clean as we would have liked

Location of village where the cottage is was ideal for us. Location of the cottage attached to a social club was not good.

Parking two cars was difficult due to cars parked opposite, a narrow road and beer barrels. All luggage must then be carried around the corner on the road and up a slope and some steps. Stone steps to bedrooms would be tricky to anyone with even moderate mobility issues. Main problem though was the door in the lounge adjoining the social club. During club opening hours in the evening there was constant banging of doors on the other side, dogs barking and people talking.

good, quiet location. lovely presented cottage. easy access to Belper. friendly neighbours.

We have a dog, the advertised outside space was only two seats and a table wasn’t enough, but nice to sit of an evening. the roof light in the bedroom needs a covering as it gets light around 4 am this time of year and floods the room with light.

Really cosy, old property, recently refurbished with old fire places. Nice touches, eg soft clean smelling towels, tissues in every room. Great shower, modern washing machine.

First bedroom radiator did not work, so was really cold at night. Maybe needs bleeding, as the rest of the rads were fine. Iron did not work either.
