THE ONLY HIGHLIGHT OF OUR STAY WAS THE BREAKFAST AND THE VERY FRIENDLY STAFF DURING BREAKFAST.

WHEN I HAD SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR A ROOM WITH AN OCEAN VIEW WITH BALCONY AND HAD INITIALLY BEEN GRANTED THIS AND THEN TO BE TOLD NOT POSSIBLE AND THAT WE WOULD HAVE AN 'INTERIOR ROOM' WITH NO WINDOW WE IMMEDIATELY MADE CONTACT WITH RECEPTION AND TOLD WE HAD TO UPGRADE WITH A FURTHER $60.00 CHARGE. WE ACCEPTED THIS AND UPON ARRIVAL WE WERE GIVEN A ROOM STILL WITH NO WINDOW BUT A GLASS OUTLOOK TO THE STREET AND A LITTLE OF OCEAN. I HAD WANTED THIS STAY TO HAVE BEEN EXTRA SPECIAL AS WE WERE CELEBRATING OUR 49TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY! WHEN WE ENTERED OUR ROOM WE HAD 2 SINGLE BEDS!!!!! I WAS BEYOND SHOCKED AND CLEARLY FRUSTRATED WITH THE WHOLE BOOKING AND VOWED TO NEVER STAY AGAIN. THE ROOM ITSELF WAS CLEAN, BUT NO WATER IN FRIDGE! I WAS NOT GAME TO ASK FOR ANY IN CASE WE WERE CHARGED AGAIN. I DID RECEIVE A PHONE CALL FROM RECEPTION APOLGIZING FOR THE 2 SINGLE BEDS BUT THERE WAS NO MENTION OF A CHANGE IN ROOM ONLY A $40.00 DEDUCTION FROM THE "UPGRADE" WE HAD TO PAY. PARKING WAS ANOTHER ISSUE. WE HAD TO PAY A FURTHER $20.00 FOR PARKING OR LEAVE OUR CAR IN THE STREET. WITH THE CRIME RATE SKYROCKETING IN CAIRNS WE WERE NOT LEAVING OUR CAR IN THE STREET. SO WE HAD TO USE THE PARKING IN THE NEXT BUILDING WHICH MEANT LUGGING OUR LUGGAGE ETC FROM 2 DIFFERENT LEVELS. WE ARE 71YRS & 67YRS OF AGE AND THIS WAS ANOTHER DISAPPOINTMENT TO OUR SPECIAL WEEKEND AWAY.! RECEPTION HAD 2 LADIES, ONE WAS VERY HELPFUL(SHE RUNG OUR ROOM TWICE APOLOGIZING FOR THE ERRORS MADE DURING BOOKING) BUT THE OTHER WAS NOT HELPFUL, CURT AND DEFINITELY NOT WELCOMING.

Central position and roof top bar was excellent. Service at the rooftop bar was excellent too.

I stayed a week so rubbish piled up in my room. They need to collect rubbish at least once during my stay.I wanted a few more pods of coffee. The grim male attendant wanted me to pay for them. On principle I wouldn’t pay extra, after all I was staying for 7 days. Next time I will book 4 days and then book 3 days so room is serviced, rubbish is taken, clean towels offered and coffee pods replenish. I wanted to book an excursion but staff had no idea. I then wanted a shuttle to get to Port Douglas. Staff had no idea.

The location is awesome. If you're staying here you don't have to hire a car.

The Room was ok and clean. I paid the premium price for sea view and all but it was just ok not that great as i expected. I was given room in third floor where there was 4th floor available on the hotel. The parking is $20/night. Overall stay was nice. In average rating its 8/10.

Check-in staff member was lovely, she gave us good recommendations for nearby restaurants and was great on check out.

No issues, the stay was great

The location in relation to the waters edge was great.

The hotels only one entrance was right next to Mc Donalds where everyone is sitting on the steps, smoking etc. The elevators were quite slow to come down/up, open and close. The parking was quite disappointing, you pay $20/ day for 1 car park on the roof top but you have to go up and down the elevator to get to the one main door and then walk up (where cars drive and is quite steep) to get to your car. There is no stairs or elevator access to the carpark. There is minimal parking on the street near accomodation making it quite hard if you do not pay for parking with them.

Everything, close to food and drinks.

Terrible pillows on the bed. But I am fussy

Localización es excelente, a 10 minutos de todo (restaurantes, marina, tiendas…). La habitación es nueva, limpia y amplia. Restaurante con vistas espectaculares a la bahía.

Personal de recepción muy poco amable.

Sehr schöne und geräumige Zimmer. Top Lage an der Lagune. Tolles Dachterasse mit Restaurant. Alle sehr freundlich.
