It looks good in the first place...

We booked this place a few months ago. The adverticement on booking.com looks great and the reviews sound good as well. When we arrived everything seems fine, they cleaned everything so it smelled good. After we went to the city centre and came back some things started to bother us. The floor was sticky, the faucet was rusty, the shower was very nasty and rusty as well, the sink in the bathroom didn't seem very clean, the ceiling in the bathroom was moldy, the door wasn't closing that well and there was a big hole at the bottom of the door. We didn't liked it but there was nobody to mention the problems. In the evening we went to a restaurant. When we got back there were cockroaches walking around our front door and when we found a lizard inside our room we definitely didn't want to stay. Because there was nobody around a talk to, we decided to leave the keys on the table and check out. We sent a message that we left and we explained why we left. We also wanted a refund because they didn't offer the things they show on booking.com. She refused it and sent us to booking.com. After many phonecalls with booking.com they told us that the owner refused a refund. We sent multiple messages but she didn't answer. The worst experience in a very long time!!

I liked the location

I didn't like how dirty the room was, also it was pretty expensive for what it was.

The room was tidy, the shower had good water pressure and was very clean. The size of the room was quite big with a large wardrobe available. The location was ideal as it was a walkable distance to all the main attractions of Merida

The bed was far too small for it’s bed frame and too small for two adults to share, it did not fit the bed frame which we constantly hit and injured ourselves on. A big shame that the pool was not maintained and was slightly green during our stay. I would also say that it’s a downside that the room does not have a hop available or freezer compartment but has a sink and just some simple cutlery
