Lovely grounds, great facilities, nice, clean and cosy!

Really nice cottage, clean and well equipped. Quiet location with excellent walks and facilities near by. Staff were very friendly.. shower was very good. Nice court yard, and the Lakside Cafe is well recommended and only a 5 min walk from the the cottage.

The house was just stunning! I didn’t expect it to be as beautiful as it was!!

No hand soap. They did say no toiletries it I expected hand at least.

Well kept cottage with lovely country walks on your doorstep.

Great location - a few minutes drive from Peak District National Park. The kitchen was small but fully equipped. Very comfy beds, clean and renovated bathroom.

Very clean. Good shower. Queries and requests for additional towels etc dealt with promptly and efficiently. Made to feel very welcome.

Lots of niggly little things. Hangers supplied didn't work with the rail provided. Sofa and chair very uncomfortable. Also not cleaned properly as when I had to lift the cushions had not been hoovered. Pillows on bed were very soft. Personal preference for both but.... Induction hob wouldn't work for us with saucepans provided so had to rely on oven and microwave to cook meals. Table provided needed to be moved to get chairs out and it was very heavy. Also table was missing one of the drop leaves. Outdoor area very bland with overgrown trees and weeds and rusty and old furniture.

Gorgeous cottage.. Equipped with everything you need, Very peaceful location with lovely walks for the dog. Great rooms with really comfortable beds. One downstairs with a stable door to a small court yard

The kitchen is a bit low stocked (no frying pan) and armchair tiny, but no probs otherwise.

Self contained property with modern facilities and so close to the Peak District. Also the idea of letting yourself into the accommodation

we absolutely loved the cottage, it was super cosy and clean

there was no garden however we did have a small patio for ourselves only. plus there is a huge green space just in front of the cottage so the lack of the garden is not really a problem;)

Peaceful accommodation a lovely big bath had most of what we needed for short stay

Nothing much if I was going to stay for longer I'd want a washing machine .shame no local shops but it wasn't far in the car for shopping

we stayed in The Nook which had recently had a new walk in shower room, the whole cottage was beautiful and well equipped with anything we may of needed. Joanne, our host was exceptional and really pleasant and kind to us which made our short stay even better, so much so we booked again on our check out and will stay in one of the other beautiful cottages next time :-) My only advice to anyone thinking of staying here, would be that one night simply isn’t long enough to explore the absolutely stunning grounds, lakes and walks, you won’t want to leave :-)
