The space within the lodge was great for us, the quiet location and its closeness to family we visited.

This property is very spacious with generous facilities and access to a lovely, large outdoor space. The owners were very accommodating and helpful.

The lodge was so nice to stay in, the beds were really comfy. The hosts were amazing and were always there to answer any questions.

Chestnuts Garden Lodge was in a quiet location on the border of Tharston and Long Stratton in South Norfolk. It was very spacious. There were three bedrooms, enough for 5 sleeping kids/adults, two bathrooms, a living room, a diner/living room, a very well stocked kitchen and a utility room. There was a microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, oven and hob. A covered patio with a fenced garden for kids to play in. Fields to walk your dog in. Very dog friendly. Lots of board games for the kids. 2 TV's and Wifi. Best self catered accommodation we've ever stayed in. Apart from our apartment in Bulgaria. Local Coop in Long Stratton is very good.

it wasn’t dirty but some dusty areas and cobwebs nephew came down to surprise my mom for her birthday and because he stayed the night we were charged extra

It was very quiet and relaxing. Lauren met us when we pulled up and told us the keys were in the door inside. She told us that if we needed anything just to ask. I left some personal feedback for her, which didn't offend her

Having to collect all the rubbish & place them in bin (required buying of bin bags) & stripping of all bed sheets, pillow covers, duvets covers etc before leaving (a bit tough with 3 kids, 1 of special needs)

The lodge was so beautiful, clean, tidy and cosy. Perfect location. The owners couldn’t of been more accommodating and helpful.

We couldn’t fault it.

Lauren and Edd have thought of everything, even down to games for the kids and Netflix on the TV. The paddock area with trampoline and goal posts for them to play on is a great idea. The lodge is a home from home with everything you would wish for, we will definitely be booking again.

Very quiet location, perfect for relaxing. Very well equiped lodge, with books and games to read or play especially if weather not good.

The Garden Lodge was brilliantly setup. Everything from the single level layout, amenities and fenced garden for a safe play space were exactly what we needed for small kids and an elderly guest. Our host Lauren was so helpful and friendly. We hope to book again when we’re back this way.

Great location and lodge was well equipped and comfortable. We had an excellent time , the only thing that would have made it perfect was some milk tea and coffee on arrival for a cuppa after being in the car for hours ... thanks so much and we look forward to returning , the smith family xx

There is so much to like. The space and the facilities. The lovely location. So peaceful but plenty of space for children if you have them. We saw deer in the field right next to the lodge which was lovely tor us and plenty of bird life. Lots of walks for the dog. A nice safe secure environment for our small dog which would also be great for small children as both are equally adept at getting out. I almost wish I could be negative about it as I want to be able to book it for myself without competition! Comfortable and clean. Great showers. Pleasant living space. Well stocked kitchen and utility area with all essentials covered from what we saw. Highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful country escape. Warm and cosy beds. Warning: Creaky floors as expected in a wooden building of this nature so sneaking in late/midnight fridge raids are not possible 😊😊😊. Loved everything about this place and cannot wait to go back!

A lovely lodge in a very nice setting. Very comfortable with excellent facility's. We only communicated with the owners by email (covid restrictions) but they were super responsive and helpful.
