The home was falsely listed & images are ancient! Place was filthy & couldn't breath due to animal urine. It was not a home: it was 2 Apts in one house! Kids can't b separated from parents! & No closets to use. I wouldn't give it a high rank of Motel 6!! Realtor put us in another cabin further away-- a fisherman's cabin! It was an upgrade = to Days Inn quality. But no washer, dryer, or dishwasher. No Welcome basket nor any home instructions other than what realtor emailed me. Had to request pots & pans to cook with bc ones in cabin were pure trash! No yard for our dog bc dogs from neighborhood kept coming over pooping by our cabin! No curtains, just cheap blinds--some broken. We had to wear shoes inside bc floors were so filthy & it has nails sticking up to catch socks! Mouse droppings never cleaned up & "body oil" left in one of kids beds! No counters & u must b taller than 5'9 to reach the 2 kitchen cabinets & microwave. Stove under burners looks like it's never bn cleaned.TV fire hazard w over 4 cords plugged into cheap house extension cord-- it should b a surge protector. Picnic table outside unusable bc it's falling apart. Felt like bn in a sardine can compared to vacation rentals we are accustomed to. We're use to Hampton/Hilton quality homes so this experience was extremely disappointing! Oh, & Yellow Rose only refunded me a whole $67 for my inconvenience!! DONT Use them unless u prefer Motel 6 quality & disappointment from fakse listings!

We had a wonderful stay. The property is beautiful. And dead in the middle of trout trout country. The host was very attendant to our needs and very informative. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. I would recommend this property to anybody.

My family really enjoyed this cabin. The cabin was super clean and felt very cozy. It was very relaxing watching and hearing the river as it flows by. The location was top notch for us. We were about 25 minutes from Western Carolina for an on campus visit for my son. Bryson City is 10 minutes west with plenty of dining options and a quaint little downtown area. Harrah's Cherokee is 10 minutes east.

I spent a lot of money for 4 nights expecting to fish at a convenient cabin on the river. Theyre having a drought...tried 4 different places away from the cabin w no luck. I feel they could be courteous and inform me of that problem.The kitchen was adequately stocked with worn out pans and a few pieces of older dinnerware. The fire at night was great! It was clean just outdated. Id probably come back when the water levels return...

Advertised as 2 bedroom, and it is, but the 2nd bedroom is over the garage with a back door access that is not ideal for small children. No ac or fan in master bedroom, location is down a steep, sharp curve, light from bathroom went out, couches smelled strongly of dog. Checked out early. Emailed rental company listing issues and no one answered me.Seems like an older man's fishing cabin. Riverside is quaint, but growth around steps not maintained.

Perfect location .The only disappoint was the washing machine and kitchen cooking pans.We couldn’t use the washing machine because the controls were messed up.Need to upgrade cooking pans.We loved the cabin and will be back.We even called and stayed an extra day.

We had a fun time on our weekend trip. There were four adults and three small dogs. The cabin living area is small as is the kitchen but the two bedrooms and bathrooms are a good size. The second bedroom is over the garage and the door to go up is on the screened in porch connected to the garage which is different but it works. The second bedroom is basically an efficiency unit with its own couch, table, and kitchenette. The cabin overall is clean and pest free but definitely dated and could use some sprucing up. The kitchen stove is tiny but works. The oven knob is missing so it’s a guess as to what temp it’s set on. The kitchen is stocked for some basic cooking needs. The washer is missing the knob as well so that was a challenge. It’s a great location in front of the river with a screened in porch to listen and enjoy the water. The rental service was helpful. We did have to call for maintenance because the TV wasn’t working. He showed up quickly and got it fixed.

Will absolutely be staying here again. It was my wife and I and 2 kids under 7 years old and it was perfect. Plenty of room outside for the kids to run and play, close to the river so we could fish, and very quiet. Woke up a couple of mornings to find elk walking across the river and through the yard. Highly recommend.

The cabin had a nice view of you like a river view , but the inside was not so great . The carpet had stains and they were wet it smelt like wet mold in the down stairs bedroom , stove didn’t work good oven had to prop it open just to get hot , washer was broke would not was clothes at all , and microwave was not working either we got one 2 days later . I wouldn’t rent again .

We enjoyed this rental property very much. We are looking forward to coming to this cabin again. If you like to fish you will love this place.There were a couple issues. The microwave downstairs didn’t work and the screens on the porch need some. There weren’t many kitchen utensils. If you are a timid driver then the road to the cabin might be an issue. It’s only one lane and very steep at the top.

Cabin was beautiful, had some minor maintenance quirks, but overall a wonderful little cabin. Location was wonderful. Elk came right up in the yard, had fun chasing fireflys with the kids, and caught a few trout right in front of the house.

Property was not clean. Smelled of wet dog inside. Screened porch is in need of rescreening- holes and screen falling allowing birds inside. Not enough cooking and eating utensils. Washer and dryer did not work properly. Some electrical outlets did not work. The grass was a foot high upon arriving and had to call to get it cut (which was taken care of promptly). The oven knob is missing - someone had moved one of the burner knobs over to it - so you didn't know what temp you were actually baking at. It says it will sleep 6 however I am not sure where 6 people would sit to eat. Cannot fit 4 inside. The picnic table outside has rotten boards for sitting. Pets allowed notification needs to be listed on the main page. Dog hair was everywhere and again I will mention the house smelled of wet dog. Access to the upstairs was not adequate to the living space. You must go outside and into the garage to access the upstairs. Maybe not very secure with the neighbor having a key to the garage. The road between the house and river is busy with locals coming to fish etc. This could be a very nice place if it was taken care of.

Strong odor of tobacco smoke when entering the cabin...had to let it air out quite awhile. Upstairs sink had dirty water in the basin. Shower liner needs to be longer to prevent floor from getting wet. Whiskey barrel table surface was extremely sticky. Upstairs tv remote did not work. No cutting board, need new cooking utensils, the two pans are insufficient, need more spatulas. The place was cozy and nice but odor, poor cleaning, and insufficient cookware really distracted from the experience.

The cabin was quite cozy and cute. There is only one split heating/AC unit for the entire cabin which heats the main living area well, but the bedroom was a bit cold. There aren't any closets to hang clothes or any extra blankets. It had a fairly stocked kitchen with just about every pot/pan/utensil I needed to cook. The bed was fabulous - best sleep I've had.

We loved our visit to this property! It was close to the mountains, shopping and casino. The cabin had everything needed and really liked the split layout. The river was super close and very peaceful. The only frustrating thing about our stay was the neighbors dogs on both sides of us did not once use a leash. The dogs were constantly in the yard or running in front of our vehicles when coming or going barking at us. I was very worried I was going to hit one. The neighbors didn't seem to care, they just stared at us and let their dogs chase after us.

My grandsons loved the place. Great location on the river about half way between Cherokee and Bryson City. The sleeping areas were as advertised.
Had a hard time figuring some things out. Examples: how to get to upstairs bedroom; and how to use TV’s not in main room. A homeowner manual would have been nice.
Some things didn’t work or were broken. Microwave in main kitchen did not work. Knob on oven was missing.
Not the cleanest place I’ve stayed. Someone had burned plastic or something on stovetop. Whole place could stand a good cleaning.
Heat worked great. TV in main room with cable worked good. Loved being on the river and having place to play in yard. Very accessible to restaurants in Cherokee or Bryson City.

Upon checking in and driving approximately 4 hours, out cabin had no running water due to freezing temperatures. I was furious that property manager didn’t call prior to my arrival to inform me. Instead she tried downgrade our stay from a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom to a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom and we had no hot water the entire first night. Maintenance didn’t show up until approximately 9:30 next morning. We requested refund and checked out and found a much nicer cabin but it was difficult because we had chosen to bring our dogs because initial cabin was pet friendly. Will never use Yellow Rose realty again.

We did this trip for an older Persons Birthday Celebration, There was 4 of us and we had a very cozy Comfortable time. I would love to stay at this cabin every year everything was awesome loved being able to watch the river while sitting out by the Fire at night. only 5 min to get to Bryson City.

We have stayed here last year, we really enjoy being in the Carolina’s. However this year, the cabin is a little run down. The smell was bad, think the carpet in the bedroom needs to go. The screen door needs to be repaired and fixed. There were minor things that it needs and the bedroom needs a fan to circulate the air.

Overall the stay was nice. Only problems at the Cabin were, it wasn't clean, just tidied up a bit. The Grill needs replacing. And most kitchen appliances need to be updated, (the oven/stove) is just bad. The place was nice overall. Enjoyed all around us, Fire pit was awesome. Neighbors were extremely friendly. The Cabin itself was very nice. I just have those few critiques. Otherwise all was great. Thank you for having us. might do this again.

Dirty. Poor directions. Dam Road is not marked. If traveling on hwy 19 North look for Loyds hotel on left. Don’t turn there but turn immediately after the blue house about 100 yards from there. It’s a gravel drive not a road and there is no sign. The two bedroom cabin is really two bedrooms separated by a garage and there’s no access to your kids unless you leave all doors to the outside unlocked! Dirty furniture. Dirty dishes. No blankets. Torn pillow cases. Dog hair and smoke smells. Noxious odors from garage. Chemicals and gas cans in garage (and the kids were supposed to sleep above the garage!) Garbage from previous tenants all over the yard. Only good thing is the awesome location and the front yard with a beautiful river. Not at all safe for kids however!

Enjoyed our stay after issue with check-in. Would have been nice to hear from property manager when I contacted emergency number for check-in information. Thank you to let friendly gentleman I got ahold of the next morning about mixup with rental agreement. Overall, it was nice to sit back and relax in the little cottage we rented. We got a little bit of fishing done in between the rain.

We arrived at the cabin,after 4.00 pm on that Friday, however, the cabin could have been freshen up more, overhead bulb missing in living room, bugs inside of the light globe, spider Webb in corner of bedroom, oven knob missing could not use the oven , outside porch and bench cushion had lots of dead bugs, porch had not been swept clean, warning posters needs to place along trees, in front of the cabins stating that the river is very dangerous and not suitable for swimming nor water floating, I nearly lost my sister and Goddaughter due to swift current, and dangerous whirlpools in the river, even tho water level was low, in some spots the water is over 7 foot deep, my family had to be rescue from the current, by another member of our family , we had no ideal that the river was that deep in spots, ( because other kids was playing in the same river only a few cabins down,) once we saw the rocks we assumed it was ok to float in, but it turn out to be a very scary moment, for our family, I want be stay there again,

Kings River stay
It was a nice visit and location, cabin was cozy and home like feel. Only thing it wasn't a straight walk to river, there is a big ditch to walk down. Mother in law couldn't walk down to fish, that's why I chose that cabin for her but overall first time down there it was great
