We loved our stay at Kevin & Lourdes rental home. It was extremely comfortable. The location is great in the middle of Cavendish, there was plenty of room for our family to spread out, and the hosts were super helpful with recommendations. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Awesome place to stay for a group. Very clean, very accommodating, so much provided to guests - even tons of beach towels/toys!
Yard was the perfect hangout spot, lots for the kiddos to do.
My only comment is the road is quite busy because it’s the same road to KOA campground. Kiddos brought their bikes but we always walked with them , and first thing in the morning as it seemed to be the less busy time. Would be fine for older kids tho! Still a 5 star rating for stay.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage! We had 4 adults and 5 children (under 10) and it fit us all perfectly. The cottage was stocked with literally everything you could need for comfort, cooking and even for beach days (chairs, toys, etc). It was clean and spacious both inside and out. The yard is fairly private and it's located off the main road, so it's pretty quiet. Traffic is just from the campground down the road. Close to everything - walkable to most attractions in Cavendish or a short 2 minute drive. Would 100% recommend for larger groups. Hope to visit again next year! Thank you, Kevin & Lourdes!

Without a doubt the nicest and well thought out place we've ever stayed from VRBO. Hosts were very friendly and communication was fast and easy. Amenities covered everything which made our stay so much more comfortable. The place itself is beautiful, the pictures in the listing don't do it justice, we were all amazed and loved our stay. Beautiful decor, very well kept including the incredible landscaping around the property. Located right in town with easy access to everything. Hard to imagine a better place to stay in PEI!

Nine of us enjoyed this delightful cottage immensely. It was beautifully furnished, landscaped and provisioned and had every amenity we could have possibly wanted. The hosts were friendly and helpful and respected our privacy. We made many wonderful family memories in our one week vacation. The walls are still ringing with the sounds of teasing and laughter and conversation. Beds were comfy, plenty of towels and dishes and cookware and many spots to sit outside including a fire pit under string lighting. A magical spot. A unexpected delivery of fresh baking, a bouquet of flowers, a bottle of wine and a welcome sign greeted us. Many thanks to Kevin and Lourdes.

Amazing stay once again! Thank you so much for everything! Your cottage is just perfect! We were 9 and we never felt crowded. The backyard is my favorite spot! So private and quaint with everything we needed. Kevin and Lourdes have a little gem. I will be back. Perfect in every way!

My siblings and I brought my mom to PEI for her 70th bday. This house was magical. My mom especially loved the sun room area…she wanted to bring it home with her. These people have some incredible decorating skills and the house is so comfortable. Anytime we texted Kevin he was right there and so helpful. We loved our trip here! Thank you for all your attention to the little things!

This place is so EVERYTHING! The owners live next door, are incredibly friendly, helpful and responsive. The entire place is beautifully decorated, very cozy and comfortable, has everything you could possibly need, and is just so relaxing. We were there off-season (intentionally avoiding the Cavendish chaos of summer) so really enjoyed watching movies, cooking, board games and snoozing. The weather wasn't great but had it been, there are so many amenities and places outside to sit, relax, eat or play. This was incredibly good value.

Kevin and Lourdes’s warm welcome and very special home made our PEI ski trip extra special. Such a lovely location! The interior is not only beautifully appointed, it’s well designed for very comfortable living. The exterior offers lots of space to sit, relax, and play. The beds and furniture were not only lovely to look at, they were very comfortable. Everything one could possible need was available. Thanks so much for making this such a memorable ski vacation!

Our stay at the Island Gales Cottage was perfect!! Kevin and Lourdes are exceptional, thoughtful hosts, and their generous hospitality and warm welcome were much appreciated. Kevin’s orientation to the property upon our arrival was very helpful. The cottage and surrounding property are beautiful and in a quiet, relaxing setting. All of the amenities are excellent, which can be attributed to Kevin and Lourdes attention to detail. They have thought of everything and more that will make a stay at their cottage extra special. As you can tell, our stay at the cottage was the best!! We definitely want to return some day. We highly recommend the Island Gales Cottage!!

This was our second stay at Island Gales Cottage. Last October we were a group of five girls, this October three of us returned with our husbands.
We enjoyed both the outdoor/indoor fireplaces and games. Three bedrooms and three bathrooms provided each couple with their own private space. Kevin and Lourdes take much pride in making their vacation rental
a wonderful, clean and well equipped abode. This is a must stay island destination.

What an incredible find! A great cottage for a getaway! Our group of women met at University (many years ago) and have been getting together annually for over 20 years. This is easily the nicest, best equipped cottage at which we have ever stayed. Kevin & Lourdes have thought of every thing one could possibly want or need & more. We were greeted with a lovely welcome basket of garden veges, a well stocked kitchen & pantry including coffee , tea, basic herbs, spices, etc. There were 7 very comfortable beds, plenty of towels, and extra blankets for cooler evenings & nights. Lots of comfortable seating, inside & out, perfect for chatting (& maybe a little wine). The only deficiency we could find…there was no rocking chair😉 😉!!!! This is a great place to stay….we will certainly consider more visits.

I think this is the nicest, cleanest place we’ve ever booked for a family vacation. The hosts went out of their way to make sure we had anything we could need! They even had a little welcome basket and tourist information waiting for our arrival. Would definitely recommend!

This home is perfect for 3 couples and a couple of kids. It is very well appointed, lots of very thoughtful decorating touches, and easy to cook in (great appliances and ample cookware). The outdoor space, with propane fireplace or wood fire pit are delightful! The host was most accommodating and everything about this property is nothing shy of 5 star! Highly recommended.

This has been the best place we've ever stayed at. Plenty of room, clean, comfortable beds, great location, well-stocked with just about anything you'd need for your stay! We didn't need to bring/buy anything extra. Hosts were very quick to answer any messages. Kevin came over the evening we arrived and showed us around and answered any questions we had. My cousin and my brother and his wife came to explore PEI because our grandmother was born and we visited cemeteries that held our relations . The cottage was the perfect gathering place and the gardens and beautiful features of the house made it very comfortable and attractive . The surrounding area was great to explore . A perfect trip for our family and we hope to return with friends to share the experience . Lourdes and Kevin are exceptional hosts and went above and beyond to make us happy .

There were 7 of us stayed at this beautiful cottage in Cavendish to celebrate our 30th reunion and it couldn’t have been any better! The cottage had everything we needed and more including 2 beautiful sitting areas, comfortable beds, a fire pit, electric fireplace and was stocked with plenty of towels and amenities. Lourdes and Kevin are amazing landlords and were there to accommodate us whenever we needed anything. We are spreading the word about this beautiful cottage and location and hope to be back again soon. 🙏💕

This property was perfect for our family to come together on PEI . The cottage and property are jaw dropping beautiful ! Really the best property our family has stayed in - set up thoughtfully with everything you need, great location. We had so much fun exploring the island and this was a perfect home base. Kevin greeted us on arrival and was very responsive. Really nice extra touches like wood for the fire pit, a welcome basket, kitchen was stocked with coffee, tea, basics for cooking. Anyone coming to PEI really should stay here!

Truly amazing rental. Everything in the house was high quality. You had everything you could possibly need there. There was so many small touches that made it superior. The hosts anticipated any need and beyond. My favorite rental ever!

The location was lovely. Very close to Brackley Beach, New London, Rustico. Very private. Hosts live next door and were very helpful but only if we needed them. Their property was lovely. We enjoyed their outdoor sitting areas and the home was very well maintained. Lots of space to relax and enjoy one another's company. Highly recommend this property for adult getaway or families with children. Lots of amenities close by.

This stay suited our family 8 of us stayed at the house and 3 visited. There is lots of room and privacy within the house. It was perfectly cleaned and set up .it was great to have so many basics there for us to use. Coffee was one thing supplied and it was a good coffee. Kevin and Lourdes are very friendly and helpful. We have stayed a number of places and we all agreed this rental has been the best.

This cottage was perfect for our family get together. The cottage was immaculate, well decorated, and had plenty of room for 8 of us. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could possibly want or need. We highly recommend this property to anyone who wants a get away. The O'Leary's were available for anything we needed and gave us a tour of the place when we arrived, Wonderful people to rent from.. FIVE STARS ARE NOT ENOUGH FOR THIS PLACE!

This was our first family trip with a 10 month old and a two year old, and we found it clean, comfortable, and well stocked with everything we needed for a wonderful time away. Kevin and Lourdes are very communicative and thoughtful hosts and made us feel at home.

The Island Gales cottage is an absolutely must stay! Immaculate, exceptional grounds, excellent and thoughtful amenities and comfy furnishings / beds. Our hosts were very kind and helpful.
Both indoor and outdoor have lovely spots; perfect for sipping coffee or sharing conversation and wine. We especially enjoyed gathering around the fire-table with cozy blankets. It was truly a magical
Island vacation.

Wow, what an amazing cottage. It contained everything we needed. Every minute detail was taken care off. Well decorated & cleaned, the grounds were immaculately kept (even after Fiona). The hosts, Kevin & Lourdes, were very friendly & hospitable. I absolutely fill in love with this place & most definitely will be going back. Trip was definitely too short.

The 5 of us felt right at home as soon as we walked throught the front door! Would love to return some day for a full week in order to enjoy the outdoor accommodations as well! Kevin and Lourdes are wonderful hosts and willing to answer any questions you may have.

This is a beautiful property with fabulous landscaping and immaculate grounds. We enjoyed the outside firepit and fire table every evening which provided a social, friendly atmosphere for a group of friends celebrating a long awaited reunion. Everything was provided in the cottage needed for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Also, appreciated the tour of the premises by the host upon arrival. and his availability during our stay. Would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to enjoy PEI and looking for the perfect spot where to do so.
