The room was clean quiet and the breakfast was good. It was a good location for the round Sheffield walk and the Peak district.
Food could have been more gastro pub style

Room was dated but nice enough, Food was excellent, Good selection of drinks in the bar, Staff were really freindly and helpful.
They are having some work done to the grounds of the property whcih spoilt the view from the room a little but not really an issue for me but if I had to be picky. Only a bath in my particular room, floors were a little creaky as could be expected for such an old building.

The hotel is situated in a very picturesque area just outside Sheffield with plenty of parking. It was so busy when we arrived with people eating and sitting outside with a drink enjoying the beautiful sunny evening. The room was a good sized twin room and very clean. We had a lovely meal and would definitely recommend.
I have no complaints.

Breakfast was excellent, as was dinner. We especially liked the "small portion" options.
The door to the room didn't fit very well, and there was a draught. Staff were unaware of this and promised to fix it.

Lovely clean room. Bar and restaurant looked very welcoming. Staff were friendly and very understanding when we had to leave in the middle of the night as I was ill. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Sheffield but not in the city centre. Lovely country hotel and great value for money

lovely staff, friendly and helpful.
room was lovely, and bathroom was very plush. I prefer a shower, and there's no way you can use the shower attachment without soaking the bathroom floor. I'd return to stay, without doubt, but not stay in the luxury suite!

I went with my wife for a night just to escape the stress of work and it was brilliant. The staff, the food and the room were all great. Superb location just at the edge of The Peaks. And we visited when it had just snowed...it's was brilliant.
Wifey already asked that we go back so we'll be back there soon.
I should have booked the whole weekend. Loved it!

Exceptional service from arrival, spotless room with a larger than expected bathroom and very comfortable bed. We also very much appreciated the soap and shower gel from a dispenser and not a bar. Lovely menu choice with special requests dealt with perfectly, without question (thank you), and everything, all home made was delicious. To quote my husband "best steak I've had in 2 years" (and he's had a few!) All in all, a first class visit and we will definitely stay here again next time we return to Sheffield, our old home.
