The home was great and perfect size for our family of 7. Very family friendly place. The view is unbeatable and the beach backyard was great. We enjoyed the short walk to the Buccaneer cafe every morning. The only feedback for action would be to have a little more bathroom and kitchen supplies on hand. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!

We had a lovely stay over spring break as a family of 4 with two kids under 8. The views and sounds of the waves were incredible! The house was clean and cozy - there was more space and seating in the main living room than I’d realized from the pictures. We weren’t able to get down to the water with the tides, but we took the short walk to the rocky beach area a few blocks away and had plenty of sand time in Carlsbad. That’s where we headed for a few meals and Legoland; the house location made that an easy drive and was also walkable to a few good breakfast spots. Would definitely recommend this place to others looking to visit the area!

We loved the view of the ocean from the decks, and it was a very comfortable home. The private beach was a joy. If you plan to sleep 8 folks you would need to share beds. More of a couples site unless family members/kids share beds. Even though it was on a street the night noise was minimal, though we were visiting in spring and not the summer months. If you LOVE puzzles there are a lot and we spent time putting one together. There was LOTS of books on shelves if you want to curl up with one. Appreciated the working dish washer and the laundry machines (though we didn't use them).

Although we had rain the entire weekend, the location was beautiful with the sound of waves crashing and a beautiful view of the ocean. Would definitely come back.

Home is as described, but actually even nicer than the photos. Great layout of bedrooms and common space. Beach is beautiful and it's wonderful hearing the waves crash against the seawall all day. We enjoyed fires at night in the fire pit, sitting on the balconies, and taking walks in the area. Would definitely choose to stay here again.

Loved the house , the unobstructed ocean view, private sandy beach area with chairs and caretaker who came early to rake and clean the sand after high tide! Excellent location .. walked to coffee shops, grocery store and scenic neighborhoods. Minutes from downtown , the harbor and the strand ! Even on cloudy days enjoyed the sound of ocean waves, watching dolphin and even saw a whale! Would love to come back in summer or Fall !!

We lived in the area for several years but love to come back annually. This is a perfect location. It’s off the Stand so no people noise, the walk-ability is amazing and the views are spectacular! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was great and the space on the sand was great.

We loved having the entire property. Easy walk to restaurants and the pier. Very nice outdoor area. Host was very responsive and helpful

We had a wonderful stay with our family. This house is right on the beach which was perfect for our grandkids. They loved to go out and play in the sand and we made s’mores in the evening. We had access to the water when the tide was low but there wasn’t many beach toys that we found and wished we had games like cornhole or something to play. The house was very nice and clean and perfect for families with kids. We also liked the neighborhood. There is a park a short walk away and a coffee shop right next to it and more beach access across the street. The garage door opener broke on our 3rd night, the chain snapped off. We were able to manually open the garage and the doors into the house lock with a code so it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and would rent this house again!

This beach front house was wonderful! It came equipped with everything we needed. We grabbed a few groceries and were able to just hang at the house. Low tide came in the middle of the day so we could climb down the rocks to the water. Not having to drive to the beach was amazing. However if you’re unable to get down the rocks there is beach access within a couple blocks. We loved being within walking distance to Beach Break Cafe. We would definitely stay here again!

My family has been renting beach houses from Newport to San Diego for years, and this one is by far one of our favorites. The entire house is yours (something I don't think was made clear in the description) so no sharing the fire bit or sand area with anyone. The kitchen and bathrooms have been re-done very well. There are multiple balconies that all have simply breathtaking views of the ocean that is literally STEPS from the house. There is a rock jetty leading to the ocean and the beach itself is a little rocky but there are sandy beaches very close by as well. You are very close to "downtown" Oceanside with TONS of restaurants and bars. Everything was clean and organized when we arrived. There is gate codes to get into the house (so no need to drive to a rental building to get keys). I was turned off by the very late check in (4pm) and very early check out (10am), which is my only negative about our stay. Otherwise it was simply an absolute amazing stay. We will be returning for sure.

Took my wife and 5 young boys for a shaker vacation. The space was more than adequate and well-equipped to make the stay very enjoyable. The place was clean, easy to access, and in relatively quiet neighborhood. Neighbors on both sides are elderly and friendly year-round residents, so you don’t have to worry about other vacationers being rowdy. The view was great, and while you can’t currently get down to the water directly from the property, you still get to enjoy the sound of the surf and the sights of boaters and sea life off shore. We even got to watch a pod of dolphins play and hunt right off shore from the property, within as little as 50 yards from shore. We would definitely recommend this place to anybody!

We will never get tired of this place!!! If you’re looking for a place on the beach where you never have to leave, this is your place! We travel with 6 adults and 3 little ones and you will never see us hauling a wagon to the beach, cuz we literally step outside to our own private beach! One big trip to the local Costco and we have all we need ! Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, and the view and crashing waves are all we see and hear! We will never get tired of our vacation spot in this cottage on the beach!

This beach house was perfect for our extended family. Very spacious house was bright, warm, comfy, clean and peaceful. The kitchen was well-equipped with EVERYTHING you would need and appliances was great too! This wonderful house definitely lexceeded expectations. Thank you, Vacasa! 👍

The house was just perfect, and the backyard is a wonderful bonus. The large table under the palapa and fire pit were great for hanging out. The kitchen is very well-equipped, and there are plenty of puzzles, games, and a gazillion books. Very comfortable furniture and beds. Close enough to walk to the pier, but far enough away to be quiet. Super-clean.

I got a large credit for a broken TV! I got sick during my stay and the staff felt terrible I had no TV to watch. The home was very clean with lots of white linens. We were sad there were only rocks until we realized we could take our walk early in the morning for low tide. We wish there had been condiments left behind and more dish towels. We also think the shutters take away from the beautiful view and see no need to have them at all. There is also too much furniture and tchotchkes. It makes moving in more difficult. Had a great week renting the property. The house was perfect and the management team was excellent in keeping in touch and immediately responding (used text) to any inquiries. Place was spotless. Only downside which had nothing to do with the house was the beach erosion so hopefully the sand will come back in. Great location and great time in Oceanside and Carlsbad. Would highly recommend. Stayed once previously and would stay again.

We arrived on a Saturday, the instructions to access were clear, we had no problems. The home was clean, there were a lot of towels (including beach towels) and bedding. We used the bbq and made a fire in the fire pit every night. The weather and atmosphere were perfect. We even had some contact with the 2 neighbors and they were wonderful. I would absolutely recommend this rental and we would personally use it again.

Home was perfect for our family of 5, with some room to spare. Beautifully set on the ocean. Low tides give you the opportunity to go down and play. High tides crash against the rocks as you sit at an open fire. We went shell hunting at 6am and were able to get a bucket full! Our kids loved it, as did we. Would definitely go back!!

Having the private sand kept our little boy entertained the whole week and the older kids LOVED body surfing and boogie boarding just down the rocks. It is a little tricky going down there so I would only recommend that beach access for athletic people. Buccaneer beach is super close though and is small and great. Lots of rocks though-bring water shoes! The house was perfection and we can’t wait to stay there again!

The house was wonderful and welcoming. Plenty of places to sit inside and out. Both bathrooms are updated and the beds comfortable. Definitely a great place for friends and family. Beach out front amazing!!!

The beach in front of the house is absolutely perfect for little children when the tide is out. There is a sand bar for sand castles and between the sand bar and the rocky beach there is a tide pool for wading. Bring sand shoes! The views and sound of surf are just wonderful. There is a coffee pot but no coffee and filters and no keurig, but a 7-11 is a short walk away. We loved our stay!!

My mom and sister's stayed here to celebrate two big birthdays. The home is beautiful and close to everything we wanted to do. There are no words to describe the beautiful view. We did have a minor problem with the tub backing up, but it was resolved easily and fast.

This is the second time we've stayed at this beach house. It sleeps 6-8 people, which works for a smaller family. Some of the furniture has been updated since we last stayed about 1.5 years ago. It's a smaller house, but it's SUPER clean, kept up well, and nicely updated. It's well stocked with essentials like plates, pots/pans, toilet paper, soap, etc. The only downside was that there were no plastic plates or cups for our younger kids. We had to buy some from Target once we got there because we didn't want our 4 year old dropping a glass cup.

There was less ocean this time around. Lots of rocks at the base of the steps, but they have no control over that. The rock steps down to the ocean are a bit treacherous, as there is a missing rail to get the final way down and the rail that IS there, gave me a splinter! It could be painted or replaced to reduce the splinter risk.

The new firepit was built a bit high so it was actually hard to feel the heat from the low chairs, but having s'mores and a fire right next to the beach can't be beat!

It's a great location; we loved the private sand backyard since the ocean was too high to play in and too rocky. My kids were still able to build sand castles and such. And the best part is that we could lock the gate in to the house so then we felt comfortable leaving our sleeping kids to sit by the fire with the adults.

We overall love this home and will continue going back. We've stayed at other older and less clean houses and this one is definitely great.

Loved having two balconies to watch the surfers and the surf. Property is as described and photographed. It’s on the south end of Oceanside, so a bit less traffic, which is nice. Bring your own condiments, as the cupboard includes salt and pepper only. We will definitely consider returning next time we are out this way!

Our adult family gathered for a week at Christmas and this house was just perfect. Plenty of communal living space upstairs with a giant TV, and a large coffee table for a jigsaw puzzle. Three very nice bedrooms with two nice bathrooms. We loved making meals in the very well appointed kitchen. The private beach access was perfect for sand toys and watching the sunset, even though the December temperatures were cooler. We were all sorry to leave!
