The location to Southwell racecourse. Beautiful house. Spotlessly clean. The well in the middle of the kitchen. All on the ground floor. Gorgeously decorated. Everything you need. Lovely gardens.

Great quiet location, comfy rooms with all you needed. Liked the quirky details-feature well in kitchen. Appreciated the G&T! Newark with quaint shops & picturesque castle ruins was pleasant. Close proximity to Newark Air Museum too...

The rooms were large, airy and well decorated The welcome pack exceeded previous experiences We could be all the cars on the drive and there was a good sized garden The host kept in touch but didn’t intrude we would go again!
I had to struggle to find something ……..Difficult to see out of drive to road if on your own. Needs a mirror!

Lovely space and high quality finish. Some nice quirks, like the well in the kitchen and the feature wallpaper. Great outdoor space too.
A little bit short on crockery and glasses. Trains became a bit disturbing once the novelty had worn off!

I enjoyed walking out from the property, down to the river Trent on a sunny Spring day.
I loved the 'isolated' setting. Great for late night guitar practising in my case. I was staying - even though I live close by - as my wife was hosting a weekend of women friends. For one person its a very large cottage (which I nonetheless enjoyed). Went away thinking of it as perfect for friends of ours with children to stay near us, or even for a gathering of friends including us to stay as a restful 'retreat'.
It took me a while to figure out the coffee machine instructions. I eventually found a You Tube video. Might be good to write out some simple guidance as the diagrams that come with it aren't very helpful. Once I managed it, though, the coffee was delicious!

I have booked crossing cottage for the last 2 months, the house is beautiful check in is easy and owners are lovely and helpful.

Lovely cottage. Was horribly stormy outside but inside warm and cosy. Excellent place for a catch up with friends.

Beautiful decor, lovely garden. Very spacious and clean. Very good value for money. We were 2 families visiting our extended family in the area. Kids loved watching and hearing the trains go by. Garden was wonderful to sit in.
Only improvement would be possibly a mirror outside the driveway for visibility of exiting. Visibility on oncoming traffic very poor and needed a person to stand in the road and guide vehicle out each time leaving the property. Would not stop us rebooking another visit though. WiFi very poor but again, not a deal breaker at all.
