Poor customer service. It felt like I was annoying the staff when asked something. Initially when I checked in I was just handed the keys with no information about anything. Very strange way to welcome your guests… My room wasn’t cleaned even once during the 3 nights which was strange too. Would have appreciated even the bins emptied. Very loud which disturbed my sleep. I mentioned this before checking in but either it wasn’t seen or they just didn’t do anything about it. Either or, very noisy during nights. All and all, it’s nice that’s it’s not on the main road but it’s simply over priced based on what it offers.

The manager gave me a choice between a ground floor room with a view and an upstairs room with no view. I chose the ground floor room as it had a beautiful view of the valley and the mountains and was right next a river.

Other guests were able to walk onto my balcony and walk right past my window - there was a gel on the window blocking them from being able to look inside my room, but I still felt that that was compromising my privacy somewhat.

Beautiful little oasis amid somewhat ugly surroundings. A Monsoon stream was rushing by outside my room. Kettle for making my own tea. AC appliance was super quiet.

Couldn't figure out how to stop the ac swing from blowing on the bed, so I had to switch it off at night. Restaurant staff was too timid 🙂

The room was more or less good, but with some smell.

I was in Rishikesh 15 years ago, a place of meditation and yoga. Now it is not, but rather a place where you won´t sleep because of the parties of others. It was not in this hotel, but nearby. But if you let other hotels let your clients cannot rest then you are agree with these hotels. And if you cannot rest in the hotel why do you need a hotel? Unfortunately, this is the common place in many places around the world because of this new fashiion of wild tourism. The hotel where I was there it was just other example of paying a lot of money for not receiving too much. Compared to Turkey or Uzbekistan, countries where I recently was, where you pay much less and you can sleep very well and the breakfast is included in the price, India is not working well in this sense. They look into their own navel too much while taking easy money, instead of thinking about what clients need setting a reasonable price according to the quality you are offering.
