Excellent stay. I travel a lot and this is definitely one of the nicest cabins and best host/ owners I have worked with. I definitely recommend. Gail and Johannes have paid extra attention to the little things to make this a wonderfully relaxing cabin.

The property was beautiful except for the 2 inclines to get up to the cabin. We had a wonderful time. The cabin was clean and well stocked. We really enjoyed taking our morning coffee on the front porch. The only suggestion that we have is to put railings in the showers for handicap people.

Our stay was great!! We met long time (40 year) friends there for a reunion. We try to do this at least once every year or to. Our friends travel from OH while we live on the coast of NC. It's always great to see them when and where ever we might end up. The house was perfect for our needs. The 2 king beds were a definite plus as we each like those. The kitchen, baths and wash room were fully stocked with all the things you might need. Very few things did we have to pick up. This was not an issue, as there are plenty of places close by to choose from. The walk in showers were great too! The front porch makes for a great viewing locations, and was nice to look out over the trees in the mornings. Sunsets were a plus too!! Our friends enjoyed the hot tub and we had s'mores on our last night, however our wood got wet during the day, so the fire did not last long!! The corn hole was fun, but the rocks did not like me. The owners were very helpful, and very easy to contact should you need them!! Sorry we did not get to meet them :( I would highly recommend the property for your next Mountain Vacation!! This is the best VRBO experience my family has ever had! The home is exceptionally clean, well stocked and has VERY comfortable beds. The view from the front porch along with hot tub, grill and chess make for a perfect experience in the Great Smokies. Highly recommended!!

This cabin on the mountain is amazing. Secluded yet a quick drive to everything. Had peacocks on the property one afternoon! Very organized and well stocked with necessities. We look forward to returning to Falcon Rest.

This property has everything you need for either a mountain stay or home base for local sights.
It is clearly visible the owners take great pride in their property and what they offer their guests.
We visited for our son’s graduation from nearby WCU. We were lucky enough to experience the northern lights our first evening, which was spectacular!
The property owners are very responsive during the entire process.
We will be back in the fall and highly recommend this property.

We rented this magnificent cabin rather than staying in hotel rooms so that we could spend quality time together and this was the perfect spot with a stunning view, birds singing and serenity. Gail and Johannes had the cabin ready early for us and the long weekend when perfectly. Everything you need plus more is there. Thank you so much for making it available!!

The cabin is beautiful with plenty of space for a family or gatheting of up 6 adult friends. You can tell the home is well taken care of, clean, up to date appliances, tvs in every room, very comfortable beds.
Although we brought everything we would need, the owners also thought of everything yould need for a stay.
Our favorite place to spend time was on the vast front porch looking at the beautiful sunsets and mount range.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin very much! Everything was very clean, organized and thoughtfully communicated. We were not more than 20 minutes from anything we wanted to do. It had plenty of space for our family of 5. Thanks for a wonderful place to stay!

The property was very clean and stunning. It was perfect for the 5 of us, including a 2 year old. The hosts were wonderful at communicating and were such a pleasure to speak with. The house is secluded, but not too secluded where it takes an hour to get to civilization. It was a much needed break from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. I would highly recommend and would stay here again in an instant.

The cabin is even better than pictured. The views are spectacular. The cabin has everything you need and more. It was hard to leave. The hosts were so gracious. There are two steep driveways to get to the cabin, but my brother-in-law had no issues with his Toyota Corolla. I highly recommend this mountain retreat!

We loved our stay at this large cabin about 15 minutes from the North Carolina entrance to Smoky Mountains National Park. The cabin was very clean and is relatively new with beautiful handcrafted woodwork. The hot tub was a great addition and used almost daily. The beds were quite comfortable. Several restaurants are within 10-15 minutes; we recommend the Smokehouse restaurant in nearby Dillsboro. The driveway was an adventure but not a problem for our sedan; we just backed into the driveway as other reviewers and host had suggested.

Beautiful new cabin, very clean. We really enjoyed your cabin. The front porch was great with a beautiful view. We enjoyed the fire pit( made s’mores every night) and the hot tub. Great way to end the day. We also really liked the Indian themed decor. Perfect!

This was the perfect location for us because of the traveling we did to Bryson City, Dillsboro, Franklin, Sylva, Cullowhee, Cashiers, Highlands and Dillard Georgia. The cabin was so nice and VERY clean and had alot of extra amenities that we haven't had before. We will be back. Thanks to our great hosts, Gail and Johannas.

This cabin was absolutely beautiful. Quiet location but surprisingly close to the main highway. Everything was perfect! The rooms were cute and clean. Ample room to hang out together inside. We took advantage of the rocking chair porch, fire pit and hot tub outside. We packed in most of our kitchen supplies, but the few things we forgot, the owners had already provided. The owners were very quick to respond to all my questions. We had an amazing family weekend with our two adult children and all agree everything was perfect.

Where do I begin? Beautiful porch to admire the stunning views, details in the cabin were well done, loved the games and hot tub, clean and comfortable all around! Communication couldn't have been better either, wonderful hosts!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Falcon Rest immensely! It was a beautiful home and very relaxing. From breakfast on the expansive deck, to sunsets in the hot tub, all of the amenities and small details made this stay truly special. Falcon Rest is the perfect place to get away from the busyness of town and simply focus on the beauty and simplicity of nature. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

This was our first time staying in a cabin and it set the bar high for our expectations for future cabin rentals. This cabin was extremely clean. We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the sunset and visiting surrounding areas. Our 5 year all loved it and he enjoyed seeing all the decorations in the cabin. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

This house is awesome. My teen girls loved the hot tub, cornhole and giant connect four. The house is equipped with everything you need plus more. The hosts have thought of everything! We loved that the home was 1 level but still had a gorgeous view on the front patio. It was so peaceful yet very close to many attractions like fishing rivers, casino, rafting etc. We loved that the wood deck goes to the hot tub nice on feet when going in and out. Loved the craftmanship of the decorations details of the home. The hosts were very gracious and very easy to communicate with. Can't wait until we come back!

There really are no words that can honestly express this little piece of paradise. Everything is absolutely beautiful, beds are so comfy, great pillows and recliners. S/B a vrbo rental requirement that every rental have recliners. The view is absolutely stunning especially with the Mtn.Laurel blooming. Best place ever, kudos to Gail and Johannes, GREAT place.

This cabin was by far one of the best cabins we have stayed at. If you want the full mountain cabin experience. Each room was exactly like the pictures. Roomier than expected. Views are magnificent. A lot of instruction books are at times confusing, their book was great.
At the last-minute we had to change and come in one day earlier with absolutely no issues at all. Do not hesitate to book - it's worth it and more.

The pictures do not do this cabin justice! This cabin has a great open layout with 3 large bedrooms. It was so clean, well organized and a comfortable cabin to stay in. It does have neighbors nearby but you can’t see them (at least not in the Spring). It was secluded with an amazing view! It has a large covered porch with great chairs and rocking benches. My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary, but this would also be a great family cabin as well.
We also loved the kitchen area. We were able to cook a few meals during our stay and the kitchen provided for everything we needed.
We will definitely be booking this cabin again for our next mountain vacation!

We really enjoyed our stay at your lovely cabin. The location is good, there is a home right below that you can slightly see from the porch. Good size cabin for 4 adults. The view is also nice. We commented on the rhododendrons around the property and how beautiful it would be to see them in bloom. No problems with the driveway. Would love to stay again.
