Breakfast was excellent and comprehensive - it covered all types of tastes. The cake shop in the foyer was lovely. Generally, the service was adequate.

It's tired. The beds are exceptionally hard. While they 'cleaned' our room daily, they needed to be cleaner. I had to ask for clean glassware. When one of the staff was cleaning our room as we were leaving, we asked them to change the sheets (noting a 12-night stay), and we got an awful look from them. Front of house staff spoke minimal Engligh.

Overall are good

This is a very big, relatively corporate hotel. It has all of the amenities a traveler could want -- nice rooms, very clean, relatively updated, great staff, and a decent gym. There is also a bar and several restaurants in the hotel. (These are relatively expensive, but a convenient option, if wanted.) There are also LOTS of nearby restaurants, convenience stores, and 24/7 massage spots, which we found to be super convenient. The hotel is near a great little park, which is nice for strolling and people watching. The hotel has nice atmosphere and a bit of green space surrounding it. It's in a quieter, less industrial part of town than would be the case if you stayed in downtown Tainan (which is about a 20 min cab ride away). It's relatively convenient location-wise to some of the city's attractions and amenities, including the high-speed rail station.

The pool area was nice; however, the pool wasn't heated, so we didn't use it. The hot tub wasn't hot, so we didn't use that either. The hotel has lots of retail/amenities nearby, however, it's not in downtown Tainan and/or close to Anping. If you're going to Tainan for work purposes, this is probably just fine. If you're going for tourism purposes, though, this is probably a factor to consider, since Tainan doesn't have a subway. We cabbed back and forth, which wasn't too expensive (took about 20 mins to downtown Tainan; nearly double that to get to Anping's attractions) but just flagging for reference.

great facilities: gym, pool, spa friendly and professional service rooms were cozy and had everything we needed

just one thing, for some reason the shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided is a 3 in 1. Can’t comment on how effective it is long term but my hair was starting to get a bit dry by the end of my 2 night stay.

all was good

it is unacceptable that the hotel did a power cut from 2pm to 5pm on 28 Nov without back up system. I only informed after I booked the hotel and at arrival, if I can inform during booking, I will not book the hotel as I need to change my travel schedule to accommodate the power cut. Beside this incidence, all the rest of the hotel is good services.
