Super pleased with our stay at The Gales! House came with everything from Keurig coffee pods, shampoo, bathrobes to hybrid kayak-paddleboards, life vests and fire wood. We brought our own kayaks and had calm waters 3 mornings in a row for paddles around Brighton Beach. Fire pit, fenced backyard and stairs down to the lake were fantastic. We rented adjoining property The Vue and had extra room for the rest of the family. Highly recommended!

The house is even more beautiful than the pictures show. The views are incredible, the location is perfect. It couldn’t have been better. We were impressed beyond our expectations in every way. We will be booking on our next visit for sure!

We had a lovely week at The Gales with dear friends. The space was thoroughly accommodating, very clean and well appointed. The Gales is positioned directly on the Lake Superior shore and provides lovely views at sunrise and dusk. The alluring white noise of the waves was an added peaceful feature. The owner contacted us the day of our arrival about a scheduled repair to the air conditioning system that evening and provided a sizable refund to use for dinner at one of Duluth’s many lovely restaurants while the HVAC crew was working. The repair was completed promptly with no intervention whatsoever from us. That proactive service was remarkable. We recommend The Gales and plan to return to this lovely home!

Great location. Great lake views and access. Really nice interior. Fire pit was great. Only knock was two bedrooms on the basement level and for whatever reason I didnt realize it was next to another unit.

First class property! From the moment we walked in, we were WOWed by the beautiful home and the unbelievable view of Lake Superior. All of the amenities were top notch (like coffee pods, monogramed towels, toiletries, etc.), there were even snacks left for us and the furnishings were top of the line. The house was immaculate, the grounds were so inviting and the whole experience was a solid 10!

When we arrived, we were in heaven seeing the property. It was modern, so clean, and it had everything you could want to enjoy your time there. The decor was simple and the beds were super duper comfortable! The bonfire area and how close we were to the lake was spectacular! Tabitha was super quick responding to all our questions. We will return again!!

Everything was absolutely perfect. Couldn’t ask for a better location. Some solar lights on the steps leading to the lower fire pit would be nice. Would definitely stay here again and again.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Gales. There were 4 of us spending a girls weekend exploring the area. The house is perfectly located to allow you direct access to the water for swimming, kayaking, or paddleboarding, and to easily access the restaurants, shops, and walking trails / parks nearby. We loved everything about our stay - and used the kayaks to do a nice paddle up coast, the firepit for smores, and the house for spending time together. Truly a gem - hoping to come back!

This was our family's 3rd summer trip to Duluth and this was the best house experience by far! Lovely little rocky beach right at the house, and just down the road from a larger rocky beach. The house was SO clean and had absolutely everything we could have needed. Easy use of TVs, well-stocked kitchen supplies, tons of bedding and towels. Perfect mix of comfort and luxury. It was spot on and we're already looking forward to another stay!

Stayed for one week. The property is right off London road on the shore of Lake superior in the lake side neighborhood. Older kids got great use of the kayaks, the ship viewing was fantastic.

This property exceeded all expectations of our entire group! Fantastic location, amenities exceptional and the entire home was pristine! We wish we could have our coffee every morning on the deck over looking the lake.

A wonderful quick spring break getaway to this gorgeous remodeled property. Can’t say enough about how beautiful this home is, the atmosphere the cleanliness the location right on the water. We loved our stay at the Gales. The property is right on the water and has gorgeous views of Lake Superior. The home is beautifully furnished with lots of extras like welcome snacks and a carousel full of Keurig pods. The location is great for exploring Duluth and the North Shore. We would definitely come back!

What an outstanding view! An early check in request was accommodated with quick correspondence. We enjoyed the fire pit, rock beach, and board games. Also felt luxurious in the beds, blankets, shower, robes, and all the details. Fit our family of five perfectly. We also didn’t hear the renters above us. Traffic noise did greet us each morning. Would have given it 6 stars out of 5 if a king size bed and hot tub were available:) Hope we can return someday!

We were in town for a hockey tournament and this is soooo much nicer than a hotel. Beautiful view, comfortable beds, clean and nice furnishings.
After a couple hard hits the hockey player strode out for a nice cold plunge to rejuvenate the muscles!
