Beautiful view of ocean. Great location.

Overall this wasn't the best experience I've had at a best western. First of all we arrived around 7:30 p.m. and we're promptly checked into a handicap accessible room. When I asked to have a standard room they told me none were available. I suggested to them that if I wanted a handicap accessible room I would have reserved one at the time of booking. The shower was conducive for someone in a wheelchair but not someone standing up with tons of bath products. They were unwilling to accommodate a move the entire trip. Additionally I called in advance and asked to ask about getting a higher floor. I was told a note was going on my reservation and that wouldn't be a problem. Except when I checked in I didn't get that either. And the additional that I paid for an ocean view was obstructed by buildings and parking structures with exception of a little sliver here and there. Then there was the mouse droppings all over the patio. I'm not even sure where to go with that. I will say the bed was pretty comfortable.

I caught a nice sunset and soaked in the hot tub, was perfect! Just a one-night stay for work but the hotel is really clean, the property is cute, the hot tub was great, the ocean views are lovely, and it's a short walk to many great restaurant options. I would definitely come back.

I always stay here when I go to the Thoroughbred races at Del Mar. It is very convenient and nice. The staff is great.

Did not like the additional deposit required and that it takes days to refund. I ask the manager contact me to ensure refund was returned please.

West Western Hotel Del Mar was very enjoyable to stay at. It was peaceful, close to the ocean, shopping and restaurants.

Parking was ample. Rooms very clean and fresh smelling, AC works excellent. Water pressure in shower is a bit lacking. Will definitely return here.

We were so surprised, in a great way, for how amazing our stay was! Rooms were beachy pretty in blues and greens, beds were comfy, and the Cafe was spot on!
