It was one of the worst experiences I’ve had.. to begin I try to do early check in they said room wasn’t ready but he charged my card and said I’d be called when it was.. I never received a call I had to drive back to the hotel and check they gave me a room that looks poorly cleaned.. the tub floor was gross it was gray with filth and crusty.. the restroom floor had rust.. the fire sprinklers in the room were thick with dust.. they charge you for EVERYTHING including parking over 36.00 that’s general parking not valet.. room Services has an added fee as well the water bottle in the room are 8.00 if you drink.. the hotel food is so over priced for the quality.. also the worst part of it all the pillow cases had blood or some gross stains… I will NEVER stay here nor recommend to my family or friends.. considering it’s a Hilton and the room rate was high they would Pay mor attention to detail and clean properly.. I will choose to spend my anniversary at a different hotel next year..

Later check in than we had anticipated but the desk people were super nice. My kid and I were going to an event at Del Mar and my wife had work to do while we were gone. The staff was great allowing her to stay at the lounge and stay parked in the lot until we needed to be picked up. Great restaurant on property as well.

Clean, nice, and without offending colors. Maintenance leaves a thing or two to be desired, but all in all it was very good.

Room was clean. Housekeeping was wonderful. Front desk welcoming. Other staff, restaurants, bar, outdoor areas, ignoring and rude. No one in the bar to order a to go sandwich. Then when someone appeared they said I will not be able to help you. He proceeded to check all the TV channels. Tried to get a waiter to greet and seat us at the restaurant. We were noticed but ignored. The restaurant had 3-4 customers at the time. Pool is beautiful but kids with parents encouraging them to do cannonballs, drinking and showing it. Arguing between drunk guests, it was awful. Will not stay here again.

We chose to stay here so we were within walking distance of the Del Mar Fairgrounds, planning on using the hotel solely for parking and a place to sleep. However, the staff were kind enough to let us have an early check-in, resulting in us having a mini vacation day at the pool. On top of that, the room unexpectedly had a balcony with a nice sitting area overlooking the pool. I was very impressed That a hotel I chosen for convenience ended up being so nice!

Issues with Room Condition and Accommodation Change I recently stayed at Hilton Del Mar, and while I appreciated the friendly staff, I encountered a couple of issues that impacted my experience. Upon check-in, I discovered ants in the original King Deluxe room I was assigned. This was quite disappointing, as I had been looking forward to a comfortable stay. As a result, I had to switch to a room with two Queen beds, which was not what I had originally booked. While I understand that these situations can arise, the change in room type affected the quality of my stay. I would have appreciated a more proactive approach to addressing the problem, by offering an alternative solution or compensation. I was directed to contact Hotels.com for a compensation adjustment.

The staff Wes great!

Hotel is nice overall but little things here and there make it feel a little rough on the edges. Staff is great and rooms are clean.

The car valets were exceptional!!!!!

Very Disappointing for a Hilton Property...outside of the Maids and the Valet Service everything else was average or below. Even though we stayed only one night, when we checked in the people at the Front Desk were not very friendly and made me feel like I was lucky they were waiting on me. Better on checkout but still NO friendliness. Honestly, I will never go there again and have to take a serious look at how Hilton's are run.

Hotel is tired. Bed was great. Not all the doors from parking lot would open with key card. Okay area, near highway etc. fine for work.

Had problems with shower. Not totally disability friendly. Gnats flying around entire stay. Hotel said because we were across the local race track and happens every racing season and unavoidable.

Got a room here to head to Del Mar for the races. Loved that they have a shuttle to take you over. Property was nice, but def a little pricey for what it is. Location dictates price on this for sure! But the patio atmosphere was great! Firepits, live music. Was fun

We chose this property because it was within walking distance of the concert venue we were going to, The Sound. This location offered convenience & affordability, but that wasn’t all. The outdoor patios & pool area were beautiful, the drinks & appetizers at the bar were delicious, the staff was friendly & accommodating, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, & well appointed! I highly recommended this property if you’re in the Del Mar area!
