Everything about this hotel has been amazing. The only con for our room was the water wouldn’t heat up to the right temperature. The engineers did come over and explain that they can’t control the hot and cold temperature since it’s mixed together. We had to run the water 15 mins prior actually showering. The water is room temp to like warm at best. We did get an offer for a room change but we were only there for a night so we chose not to.

Best time I had with a friend even though we kept getting lost in hotel lol. Room service was wonderful for myself but not so much for my friend. The middle of her pizza was soggy and all she really ate was the crust. Everything was very tidy and employees friendly

Waited 35 mins in line to check in. Paid for room rental in cash. The gal behind the counter took 15 MINUTES to count back change. The friends we came with had fully completed the check in process and i was still waiting for $15 change. They said we could have same floor. The gal.checking me in said "as soon as I count this chnage out, Ill assign your room". No such chnace of being together. Friends were on 25, we were on 19. And the iron in the room didnt work. The bathroom was too small for 2 people to get ready in. VERY OVER PRICED!

The property and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. We were traveling with our bulldog and again everyone was great, my only complaint was the restaurant which had outdoor seating/patio didn't allow pets. This wasn't the end of the world as Grand Rapids overall is extremely pet friendly, and we had a great time. Just confusing why, a hotel is pet friendly but doesn't allow them on the patio.
The valet and bellhops are first class, and they are very professional, a huge thanks to all of them.

Eh. Understaffed and the staff they do have may be undertrained. Not many amenities offered in a hotel with rooms up to $1000+. Beautiful old hotel that is probably too costly to staff appropriately. Too bad. I was hoping it would be more.

Excellent valet for super easy in and out!! THANK YOU! We also were thrilled to be able to get a really nice late night dinner right at our hotel. Only complaint— no vent in the bathroom for airflow and room took a LONG time to get cool… will definitely visit again though- close to most everything downtown too!

We were in town for a concert at the Van Andel arena! It was so easy just following the signs along the skywalk to access the arena! Our room was beautiful with a view of the river. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was so soft and we had a wonderful nights rest! We had breakfast and dinner on the premises at the Wolfgang Puck restaurants and both meals were excellent. We had drinks after the concert in the bar and everyone was so kind and accommodating. Even the attendants at the valet parking were so friendly! This hotel was a bit of a splurge for us but so worth it!

I have stayed in way nicer hotels. This one has a new tower and an old part. We got the old 11th floor. Rock hard beds, few amenities... Fridge not clean, safe ok. Tiny bathrooms. Way overpriced for what you are getting. This deserves three stars at most. The lobby is the nicest part of the building.

Amway is a large property in downtown Grand Rapids, very well situated for restaurants and coffee shops. The river is just a short walk away. The rooms were good, but very small bathrooms, given it’s an old, renovated property. The staff were very helpful.

Absolutely beautiful place. Staff super friendly throughout the building. Valet, front desk, MDRD- all of it fantastic. We were able to walk almost to the VanAndel arena through the connected above ground ‘tunnels’ called the SKYWAY! I didn’t even know that existed and have been to GR many times. 10/10 will stay again.

We stayed for our anniversary and we hoped to use the spa and the rooftop pickleball courts. Well, the spa was out of order and the pickleball courts were an additional $30 an hour and reserve only which was never stated anywhere. We would have stayed somewhere far more reasonably priced if we knew all this. Meanwhile when we walked in our room one of the $3 dollar bottles of water was already gone and our bellhop had to close doors and clean up as we walked in.

Beautiful hotel. Several restaurants/bars in the hotel. Alot around the hotel. Could not get AC to cool - service arrived quickly and improved situation. Sheets were terrible - scratchy. Pillows were lumpy.

We stayed in a tower room last night after our wedding reception. This morning I woke up with red, itchy bumps all over my body. So gross!! I cannot believe this could happen at such an expensive hotel!! We will never stay here again nor will we recommend this hotel to anyone!

Amway is the only hotel I stay at while in Grand Rapids. The service is phenomenal, the facilities are always clean, and I love the architecture of the building. I enjoy the fitness center, pool and restaurants. I have yet to experience the spa, but look forward to trying it at one of my future stays. Hats off to the amazing staff for making the experience at Amway so delightful.

We were very impressed with how nice it was and how easy it was to access other downtown areas. However, when paying a high price for a nice hotel I expect there to be hot water. Parking was also more of a pain than it needed to be.
