Excellent hotel for conferences and business stay

Excellent except telling us about the destination fee and what we were entitled to to make up for it.

Great location. Very walkable to all major visitor attractions.

GREAT STAY

I would not stay at this hotel again. When we checked in, we had to dig the coffee pot out from under the cabinet. We had no coffee cups or coffee. The water was shut off from 9 am - 6 pm on one day and constant construction through out the day. We couldn’t even hear the tv. There is no dresser so we had to live out of our suitcases for six days. The WiFi was awful.

Beautiful Hotel. I definitely recommend.

I was there for a convention. The room was very clean, as was the lobby. I love that they have k-cups and not single use "pads" of weak coffee in the rooms. The only issue we had was that there were no plastic drinking cups.

Everything was close even if we took a cab.

Hotel was great. Easy access to the Metro. Restaurants were good. The pillows were awful. They went completely flat when laying down on them. Not a comfortable night’s sleep.

The Grand Hyatt is in an amazing location, with on-property access to the Metro Center. The good: Very clean, very nice staff, nicely sized rooms, and safe. The (sort of) bad: No vending machines and the stores close relatively early, no cold water, and the restaurants are very expensive ($32 for breakfast buffet, extra $10 on weekends if you want to add the egg station), over $100 for two burgers and two drinks BEFORE tip. Fortunately, there are lots of good restaurants nearby.

Hotel was extremely clean and well maintained. When asking the front desk for a suggestion on a late night bite to eat the only thing they suggested was a Wawa. That was disappointing,we did find something else instead, but it would have been nice if they could have recommended better options within the area than a chain convenience store. Maybe some training for employees on what options there are around to direct people too.

Our stay at this hotel was wonderful! It was recommended by a family member. Everything was clean, the staff was friendly, and it’s in the middle of every tourist spot near the National Mall. It’s an excellent spot for a first trip to D.C.!

Stayed here before and enjoyed my stay. This is the second time around a feel the same.

Great location, reliable, clean.

The construction in progress is a bit of an annoyance. Also, a couple of insect bites appeared on the last night. Please check.

THE HOTEL WAS BEAUTIFUL. THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME STAYING THERE, I WILL BE BACK. ITS IN A GREAT LOCATION. YOU CAN LEAVE YOUR CAR IN THE GARAGE AND WALK OR TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AROUND TOWN.

This hotel is in the best possible location of DC. Walking distance to great food, shopping and sites. Very beautiful lobby. Very comfy beds.

I am very picky when it comes to hotels and the Grand Hyatt in DC did not disappoint! Very clean and modern. All employees were exceptional. I definitely recommend a stay here.

Great choice

I was surprised that during our 5-night stay we didn’t get any housekeeping. I opted out of daily housekeeping upon checking in and instead was offered an option to get housekeeping when I need it. There was an option to ask for it 24 hours in advance. We asked for housekeeping two times at the reception, but that didn’t bring any results. We tried them to cleaning staff directly too, but without the request from the front desk, they wouldn’t do anything. They charge resort fees for amenities that we never use, but we would have appreciated two bottles of water delivered daily which they promised (included in daily resort fee) and at least a change of towels. Also, our reservation inclibreakfast for four people. I confirmed that by phone before coming and also upon checking in. At the time of checking out they told me my reservation was actually for 3 adults and one child, since I don’t have any young children, they charged me the difference between child and adult breakfast which came to be additional 70 USD. Also, I would have appreciated having a water dispenser at the lobby, or curtesy drinks, especially considering that we were not getting water bottles delivered to our room.

It’s a clean hotel. Close to most of the tourist areas.

Location and hotel condition was good. Although renovation was going, I couldn’t feel any inconveniences.
