Lovely hotel

Appreciate the historic value and architecture of the property. Was mortified to be served room service breakfast on my husband's birthday - from plastic containers in a brown paper bag. Stature and elegance has definitely gone done the tubes. And there was no glass of champagne greet on arrival.

Great location close to Metro

Very beautiful hotel. The staff was friendly and check in was a breeze. Yes the hotel is older but it is still very beautiful. The AC worked great and we had no issues with the elevator. We had requested hotel rooms near each other for my family and they put us right next to each other! Made it very Convenient. We did have an issue with the mini bar. My dad of course picked up all the items and you get charged immediately. We asked the front desk about this and they removed the charges. Lesson learned tho!

Very nicely renovated hotel. First time there, and it exceeded my expectations. Excellent restaurant for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Only comment is, no business center available. I will definitely stay here again, when in DC!

The bed was not comfortable at all. The pillows were very over used for the price. Service was friendly though and within walking distant to many sites.

Convenient to Metro. Negative was that the hotel restaurant was booked for a private event one day of our stay.

This hotel is way too expensive for the quality and cleanliness of their rooms. You are paying for location and getting Holiday Inn type of a room. My carpet in the room was sticky, furniture heated and dated, and the worst was the bathroom where everything was so old it leaked. The sink leaked water on the carpet when run, the toilet broke on 3rd day I had to call service to fix it. After they fixed it, it started leaking water all over the floor when flushing. Everything looks old and barely maintained, do not recommend for such high price.

We initially had an issue with a very noisy air conditioner and after an attempted to fix this, we were given another room and a bottle of bubbles as compensation for bed night's sleep. We would particularly like to thank Sarah for resolving this issue. Would stay again.

This was an amazing place to stay in DC. When we arrived they couldn’t find our reservation due to a glitch with Expedia. However, Jordan was EXCELLENT and got us fixed up right away. Everyone from the doorman to the valet was very kind and considerate. Their customer service was top notch. The room was beautiful. We were traveling with our family so we got a connecting room and it was perfect for us. We did use the valet because of the in/out access but there is a garage that is $15 a day around the corner. The valet was pretty quick and you just text to get your car. The area was great. It was super walkable to the White House and all the museums. We also found amazing coffee shops and eating areas within a 10-15 minute walk. It’s a great hotel in a great location.

Great stay for a girls night out. We had tickets for a show at the National Theatre. We had a great walk there and back. Felt safe. It was a great time.

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Great sized rooms, comfortable beds and well stocked bathroom with toiletries, towels, etc. Room and hotel in general were immaculate. Staff very friendly and helpful. Via Sophia was nice for a drink after a busy day visiting the attractions of Washington DC. Only 1 block from metro - McPherson Square, blue, silver and orange lines will take you to Arlington, Smithsonian, Capitol Hill, Georgetown, etc if the distances are too far to walk for some. Plenty of good restaurants within a few blocks. Would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again if we return to DC.
