Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff

Excellent location, just by the Tyn Church. It’s so convenient to go to anywhere. I walked to Charles Bridge early in the morning with very few people and could stay late to see the night scene at the main square. Breakfast is delicious and a lot to choose.

Liked the location and the building itself, didn't like no air conditioner. Otherwise a great property and staff were excellent.

Front desk staff were both pleasant and helpful. The hotel is in a great part of the old city. I loved the Cathedral bells in the morning, did not like the noisy party people in the street, but that is nothing to do with the hotel.

2 night stay, hotel is in a very good central location (30 second walk) from the main square. Nice hotel with very friendly & helpful staff. Would definitely recommend

Beautiful, old school hotel right on Old Town Square. Late night crowds were a little loud, but it’s worth it for the location.

Old world hotel with a great restaurant; I’ve been staying here for years.

Location that couldn’t be beaten. Fifty metres from the old town square. Great breakfast and restaurant for dinner. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room. Only improvement could be to supply coffee and milk in the rooms as only tea is provided.

The place was great. However, I specifically selected the property for parking using parking filter. I was sent 1 km away and had to spend 50 euros for overnight parking.

Perfect size for one person. Great view from my window.

Service was very good. Breakfast was also good. We stayed on the top floor in a double twin room and was very cozy. Beds were comfortable and the blankets were extremely warm. Great location. Only complaint was the shower. Water pressure was good but the placement of the shower head made it hard not to get water everywhere in the bathroom. There is a partition but it only goes around part of the tub. Ceiling was low over the tub which would be difficult for a taller person.

Very close to the central square in Prague, very nice and helpful staff, good breakfast, clean and safe. Definitely will stay again. Thanks everyone for your hospitality!

I stayed 2 day for touristic trip. Location is perfect ı could not be better. Room was super clean and big. Furtinute are old but ı dont mind it feels cozy. Stuff is really polite and helpful. I highly recommend.

Super location near main Square

Can't say enough wonderful things about this charming hotel. Wonderful location on lovely small street at Old Town square, even though it was near the square it was pretty quiet. Elevator (only up to 2nd floor) took us up to our rooms with lovely old world charm and beamed & stenciled ceilings. The rooms were very clean! They also served a beautiful buffet breakfast (it's worth the fee) in a small warm and quaint restaurant on main floor. We also had dinner there a couple of nights and the menu was good and the food, very good! Now the staff.....the kitchen people, cleaning people, waiters in the adjoining bar all Excellent! We dealt with the front desk staff the most, they all were extremely helpful with everything. Lucas during the day was so helpful, knowledgeable and wonderful to talk to. Lukas at night desk was also great, knowledgeable and good to talk to. We both had a wonderful experience at this hotel and if I should return, Hotel Cerny Slon (Black Elephant) is where I stay and I have already told friends.

Enjoyed this hotel so much last year, we chose to stay again. Great location near Old Town Square.

We booked an 8 day stay. the person at the front desk when we arrived was friendly and helpful. but he wasn't present for the most of the rest of our stay. The people that took over were often not at the front desk and somewhat cold. The hotel was in an old building. However, the rooms were not updated. The bathtub was very tall and was difficult to get out of at times. The room was somewhat dirty. There was dust on the floor for our entire stay. The hotel was on a very noisy corner. We didn't have any sound proofing and there was large groups of people outside of our window. very loud and probably drunk. Finally, we payed extra for our breakfast in the morning. It very poor. not worth paying for.

This hotel was quaint. It was old but in an antique way. The room was a good size. We moved the bed to clean behind it. Huge cob webs and tons of dust. The breakfast was ok. The location was great. It was right by the main square. Easy to walk to to the astronomical clock and not far from Charles bridge. I would stay again because of location

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. If you want to explore downtown, there is not a much better location. And the restaurant downstairs is excellent.

My single room was spacious and comfortable with a big bathroom. The location was perfect in the heart of the old town with the main attractions within easy walking distance. I enjoyed a nice meal in the hotel restaurant and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Easy and fast check in and check out. The staffs are remarkable and professional. The location is very good for people who just want to walk to specific areas such as the Charles Bridge and the astronomical clock.

This was my second stay at Cerny Slon, located right beside the Tyn church. You could not get a better location. The staff are all so helpful and go out of their way - they even packed us a substantial breakfast because we were leaving early on the day we left. The restaurant has delicious Czech food and it is lovely to wake up to the sound if church bells.

It’s a nice place.

Spent one night here when I was stuck in Prague when my flight got cancelled. Very good location, just a block from the old town square. Room was very clean and the bed quite comfortable. The hotel has a nice breakfast buffet (for an extra charge). Bathroom was fairly spacious. Negatives- the temp was in the 90’s when I was there and my room did not have air conditioning (just a fan). Because you are in a very popular area, it was fairly noisy outside (as I had to keep the windows open at night to cool off). I would definitely consider staying there again though.

Very close to historic attractions and restaurants but I find it more expensive compared to better hotels in Vienna in a similar location

Excellent location

This hotel is in an excellent location literally steps from Old Town Square. The staff were very friendly/helpful. The room was comfortable and we found to be quite sound proof if you had the windows closed. We were there in June. There was no air conditioning but they provided a fan which was perfect. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Excellent location. Make sure to get proper directions to parking.
