We loved staying here. The whole experience from Check in to check out was amazing. The old world charms was perfect. Very comfortable accommodation close to great spots to eat and drink. Would happily stay there again if we return to Georgetown.

We had the most amazing stay in Penang. The hotel is very well situated so close to everything we wanted to do and see. The pool was especially welcoming after being out and about! Couldn’t fault the staff - they were ALL fantastic.

Great heritage hotel in a brilliant position. Rooms are comfortable, tea and coffee, ventilation, good bathroom, and great bed. The general ambience is wonderful and you can sit just outside soaking up the sunshine and history while having a drink. There's a swimming pool, which we used everyday and we decided to eat our breakfast outside although there is an aircon restaurant attached to the hotel. The only slight downside is some nights there was very loud music on until the early hours of the next morning as penang must of relaxed it's laws. But the best thing about the hotel are the staff... Especially Yo who is amazing and so kind and Harry Potter who was very caring and professional. Thankyou to all the staff. On another note you can get very cheap local buses all over the island, the hotel can arrange a taxi and the fare from the airport is now fixed so it's easy for transportation. There's proper and very good street food if you turn left from the hotel to the next block and there's loads of trendy western places too.

This is definitely a heritage hotel, well kept , staff is wonderful and professional. We love our stay here . Everything you need is easily accessible. Ok breakfast but we had dinner at the restaurant. That was phenomenal Rendang is sooooo 👍

Fantastic stay in George Town at the beautiful Jeng Keng Hotel . The staff , especially Ian were so helpful , polite , informative and fun! We used the pool every afternoon an oasis of calm after the business and heat of the city. Everywhere was clean and tidy and the rooms were spotless . We enjoyed the breakfasts immensely , im sorry I don’t have the main guy in the cafes name but he was so great at explaining the ingredients of the foods being gluten intolerant . Thanks so much - we adored it!

The Hotel decorations are so comfortable and nice, the staff are friendly, but In the nearby mosque, the regular prayers every day will affect your sleep.

Excellent service from the staff. Thank you for accomodating our late check-out due to heavy traffic. We really enjoy the breakfast as well. Like it that the pastries are bite-size, so one would not overeat or waste food. Could be better if they can have more vegan options. A nice and quaint hotel that worth very cents.

We enjoyed being so close to all the things to see and do in Georgetown. It was great being able to walk everywhere.

great heritage property and location. Very friendly and attentive staff adds to the overall positive experience. the nutmeg welcome drink is an excellent touch. if i have one minor suggestion - change your mattress in room 108. its way too hard.

This is my 2nd stay at Yeng Keng. This round with my sibling and nephew. We love the hotel location and the restaurant Hainanese cuisine was fantastic! We look forward to come back again.

The property was quite beautiful and had a lovely veranda where you could sit and read or have a cup of hot tea. The staff was super attentive, and really went out of their way to be kind and considerate. I enjoyed the different conversations that I had with them and felt they were really friendly and helpful. The air conditioning and fan we’re just right, not too cold, as is often the case. The location was truly excellent for walking to all kinds of places in the georgetown area, and the map that was provided by the hotel was very useful. I give it an A .

Great historic hotel meticulously preserved and renovated. Rooms are very comfortable and cozy. Nice area rug under the beds. Swimming pool was a welcome retreat for a long day out in Penang. Staff all so friendly and helpful. Room included breakfast in the Yeng Keng cafe. Only recommendation to have say a 3 day rotation for some variety during the stay. You can also eat outside of breakfast in the restaurant. Hotel close to Love Lane for western bars and restaurants and to the food street market that had great food. This was our favourite hotel so far in Malaysia. Thank you!!!

The hotel is incredibly pleasant, with notably friendly and courteous staff, particularly those working at the reception and restaurant.

The Yeng Keng is a fabulous hotel , even more special as its run by the nicest staff you could ever wish to meet .Nothing is ever too much trouble for any of them.

Amazing staff. Great breakfast. Excellent central location. Walking distance to attractions in old George Town. Great to stay in historic mansion.

We were met like old friends by the staff... a wonderful historical building in heart of Penang historical district. I had a two room suite which was lovely! The buffet breakfast was fine...western and Malaysian Food. It also serves as a great restaurant the rest of day. We were given an extra two hours for check out... I look forward to returning...

A gem of class and culture, Yeng Keng has everything you want. The rooms are not large, but they are perfectly appointed. The pool is a delight after touring about on a hot Penang day. But the service is what elevates Yeng Keng above others. Raj and Nanda can solve every problem! We can't wait to go again.
