The Imperial Hotel and Spa was excellent.
We were warmly welcomed and checked in was quick and smooth.

The hotel was in a very good position close to Kiem Lake and the old Quarter

First and foremost the staff is the star of the hotel. They went above and beyond to provide in depth explanation of the room as well as hotel amenities. They also provided lots of local information as well as cautionary information of the area.
The rooms are well equipped with the normal amenities including water for travelers. The hotel is also just a street away from Hoe Kiem lake which makes it easy for us to shop around the area.

This property has a lot of potential but completely falls short of even being a 3 star. There is a complete lack of detail in everything. The rooms meet the minimum standard of clean, meaning the sheets and towels are changed and trash is taken out, however they are very dusty, with dusty cobwebs everywhere. The mirrors and doors are covered in fingerprints and dirty smudges. The high touch areas, like handles, hair dryer and tv remote were greasy. Also, the towels were clean, but were very worn out and many had stains.

Conveniently located with everything within walkable distance. Room is spacious but a bit dim. Sadly there was a bug on my bed on the 2nd day but other than that the room is generally clean.

Travelled with elderly parents so I was looking a hotel with a lift and chanced upon Imperial Hotel and Spa on Expedia. It did not disappoint. All the staff were courteous, kind and welcoming. They made our stay very comfortable. Our receptionist Grace was very helpful and went all out to facilitate our travels. They made it a point to confirm all our travel pick up details!
The area is great - food and massage options are just a stone throw away.
There is some age to the hotel (expected and they were upfront about it) but the service and accessibility made up for it.
Will definitely recommend this hotel!

It is in the heart of the old quarter, but still very calm and peaceful inside the hotel. The breakfast was incredible- lots of delicious choices, each day a bit different.

We had a a very nice stay at this hotel. The accomodaions were excellent and the staff was friendly and professional, always prepared to help and make your stay an enjoyable one. I highly recommend Hanoi Imperial Hotel.

My stay at Imperial Hotel and Spa was excellent. The service was impeccable, and breakfasts were delicious. They took frequent measures to ensure my stay was very satisfying. I will certainly return and recommend friends and family to stay there as well.

The location is great right in the center of the Old Quarter. Lots of shopping and restaurants. Short walks to many of the sights.
The staff is wonderful and is very helpful. They helped us with Visa's and a trip to Halong Bay. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here in early December for a night. It’s tucked away in a street on the northwest side of the lake, which is a 5 min walk away.
I arrived in a taxi and the staff greeted me immediately upon exiting the car. They helped me with my backpack and gave me a cup a tea while signing me in at the front desk.
The hotel went through a recent remodel since the last time I stayed here and it is top-notch. Super clean and felt super comfortable.
The staff was very attentive throughout the stay and the breakfast buffet was pretty good! Definitely good too start up your day for Hanoi.
Perfect location and walkable for everything around and there’s even foot massage places down the street you can go to right after a long day of walking.
I stayed here once before 4 years ago, and tried it out again because I thought the first experience was already good. Would definitely recommend here to stay for a short or long period of time.

We were extremely content and happy with the overall hospitality and wonderful support by the front desk team!! It was a true Omotenashi spirit extended by the team and we will certainly come back and stay at this same hotel upon our return to Hanoi next time! Million thanks to the team!

Hotel was located close to all attractions in the Old Town. The reception staff was Excellent. They anticipated my needs. Helped me to confirm my transport pick up for my tour to Halong Bay without me asking. They noticed I had made two separate bookings before and after Halong Bay. They pressed the lift buttons once I walked in through the door.

The front staff and restaurant staff were all very kind and responded politely when there was something I wanted to arrange or something I wanted to ask. The breakfast menu changes every day, so I didn't get bored even though I stayed there for a week.
It's located in a convenient area, so it's easy to get around the old town, and the sound in the room doesn't bother me that much.
I used the airport shuttle service arranged by the hotel for 22 dollars, and it was very convenient as I didn't have to worry about getting picked up and the time was accurate.
I took advantage of the late check-out until 8pm, and was charged 2,500,000 VND, which is almost the equivalent of one night's stay, but they cleaned the room and changed towels, so I was able to spend comfortably until the night, so I thought it was a good thing.

The service of the reception staff was first class. They spoke good English and were very helpful. The location of the hotel was also good- within walking distance to most places in the Old Town. What I did not like was the design on the bathroom. The glass divider on the bath tub was not long enough to stop water from splashing onto the floor of the bathroom. And housekeeping should wash the shampoo bottles. It was not pleasant to have to touch a slimy and soapy shampoo/conditioner/bath gel!

Very good hotel, only wish the room we got had a better bathroom. Otherwise wonderful hotel, great location and great hotel staff.

Cute colonial style room and property. Excellent breakfast buffet conveniently offered for four hours every morning. Staff super helpful and friendly. Only negative to this hotel is the front door. It’s hidden behind a gauntlet of parked motorbikes, plants, a street vendor partially blocking access and an occasional rubber hose on the ground. We also experienced a miscommunication about the minibar. My wife and I are certain that the representative showing us into the room said that the drinks were free. There was only one coke, one beer and some bottled water. We drank these daily and they were replaced but then we were charged for them.
Airport pickup billed to room was nice. We would stay again.

All staff were exceptional, especially the front desk and Manager, Ian. Excellent location, in laneway with good choice of restaurants and couple of bars. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was on the 8th floor and had a good variety. Would highly recommend.

Good location, large rooms. Very nice staff. Giving 3 stars just because manager wouldn’t allow a refund for one night we didn’t make it due to visa issues. All the details they sent in a welcome email, wish they would’ve mentioned they can assist with visa entry and/or to get one.
