We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The building and the view are beautiful and the restaurant was very good too. I would recommend to anyone looking for a hotel jn Cusco.

A delightful place. Nice room in an historic building and the best breakfast we had in the whole of Peru: the formidable lady in charge of the restaurant was really keen that we had a nice meal. The physical location in an old traditional house is great. Food was awesome. Rooms needed more places to store or hang clothes. Biggest negative was bathroom. The steam from the shower would accumulate and condense in the skylight. Then it dripped on you as you stood at the sink, brushing teeth, washing hands, etc. As a result, it had a very dank, unpleasant smell.

Pictures are deceiving. This "hostal" was located on a very dangerous road in Cusco. The road is so narrow that you're nearly struck by traffic entering or exiting the premises. The front door is locked and you must buzz your way into the property like a delivery person. There are no televisions in the room and generally everything is dated. The staff was rather rude upon our check-in. Breakfast was also sub-par. If I was forced to say something positive about this hotel, I would say their interior garden area is beautiful. It is also located only 5 or 6 minutes walking to Plaza de Armas. I stayed in Abittare hotel for 2 days prior to this stay and it was far superior. I recommend another hotel for your stay in Cusco.

Fantastic place to stay in Cusco. The second floor really offered us a good view of Cusco city with Andean backdrop. Breakfast was very good, with everything was made in house including yogurt, jam, coffee and hot breakfast.

This hotel was great! It is in the perfect location for exploring cusco and the rooms were very comfortable. The whole place has a traditional style making it a charming place to stay. The food was great; good breakfast choices made to order and always delicious. Anytime the staff were happy to help you with anything and always friendly. I would recommend staying for your visit to cusco. Ps the shower was a real treat. After traveling to a few South American counties this boiling hot shower with real water pressure was amazing!

The property itself was very beautiful and unique. I loved the outdoor area and the rooms were spacious and homey. There is filtered water available to guests and the staff do a turn down service to ensure the room is cleaned daily. It is also in a great location. Overall, this was a great stay and I would recommend.

Loved the courtyard and the rooms. Could use more shampoo/conditioner options. Bathroom needs a ventilation fan as it would get slippery and humid in the bathroom.

Hotel is quaint and a little quirky. Wifi didn't perform well in the room, but was better in outdoor garden seating and cafe. A cooked breakfast was included, which is always a plus in my book. Staff super nice and helpful. Easy walking to central plaza, shopping and restaurants.

We had a very nice stay at El Balcon. Good location, clean, good breakfast and helpful staff. Spacious room with comfortable beds.

The hotel is full of rustic charm. It is a little up the hill with stunning views over Cusco. While the traffic is quieter some of the guests were not so quiet. I really liked the place but it would not be for everyone.

Very cozy boutique type hotel. Beds were very comfortable and staff was friendly. The alleyway to get to the hotel was a little isolated and odd but after you go in a few times it’s not of concern. I enjoyed my way and would definitely use the hotel again.

El Balcon was so dreamy and incredible! The stay could not have been more perfect! The staff was amazing and knowledgable! We really enjoyed our stay!

This is a quaint hostel. The room was nice and clean and the beds were comfortable. The pancakes (we paid for but not expensive) were awesome! They did supply coffee, juice and buns free but you had to pay for the rest. It's fairly close to centro but a bit of a walk...not a deterrent though. They allowed us to store our baggage. They didn't have a converter for our electrical devices but did loan us a blow dryer at least. They only gave us two clean towels even though there were four of us. Overall, would recommend this place.

I wanted a central place to stay for just a night but May extend for the week… they are so nice here!

You can't find it. It's in the middle of nowhere and looks extremely suspicious. I'd recommend going to another hostel. This seems to be someone's house.

Nice, secure set up around enclosed courtyard. Wonderful spot to rest after busy day sightseeing. Tasty fruit bowl and fresh juice and coffee in the morning.

Rustic and colonial hotel close to the plaza de armas. We had a view of the plaza from our room on the second floor. The staff is very attentive. There’s no tv in the room and the hotel is uphill from the plaza. The uphill part is tough at Cusco’s altitude, but I expect to stay here again in the future.

Best place I have found in Peru so far. Quiet, clean, confortable with beautiful small garden. 6-7 soles will bring you to the central plaza de Armas - or walk down 3-4 minutes. Staff very helpfull, great continental breakfast and free coxa leaves to make tea. 5* plus. And NO I did not miss not having a TV in the room.
