The staffs at the Reception, breakfast restaurant, and the Phoenix Mall shuttle service were friendly. However, the stay was completely destroyed during my stay on 19th and 20th July (till afternoon) because of dirty water coming in the taps for about 3 hours because of some problems (19th July). The following morning I realized leakage in the toilet shower tap that made the floor full of water and risky to step on. The hotel could not do much and were trying to arrange for repair. However, we had to get ready to go to the airport and we were really worried about other things including packing. I have taken photos of the bathroom to avoid any dispute later. The only consolation we had was the free drop-off at the airport, but this inconvenience on the last days of our stay puts us off to recommend or stay in Westin any more. It is supposed to be a 5-star hotel, but we were feeling let down because of the high price we paid for our stay. In comparison, our one-night stay at Ramada by Wyndham during 16-17 July was very good and this hotel is 10 times better than Westin. Unlike Courtyard by Marriott at Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India, where we get nice fragrance of flowers in the living space, we used to get the smell of fish-frying from the open kitchen in the open areas of Westin (another Marriott chain hotel). We discussed this issue with the Chef also, who was kindly meeting people to get their opinions. The road outside the hotel is a disaster and always noisy.

The hospitality was wonderful along with comfort and convenience. Especially, the relationship manager Ashwini assisted me during my stay entire stay with excellent hospitality.

Customer service executive Shreya Sen who was assigned to make our stay pleasant at the property was very helpful and readily available whenever we needed her services. My family and I had a very enjoyable and pleasant stay at the hotel. Will stay there again when we visit Chennai the next time.

Excellent service all around! I really felt the staff went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Facilities were mainly excellent, though there were some minor issues with the entertainment / TV facilities not functioning well. Plenty of options for dining are available and though I did not use the spa facilities I was impressed by what I saw when I visited the area. Shreya, our guest executive was very pleasant and helpful and we were even treated to complimentary cocktails and snacks on the evening of our arrival. All in an all an excellent experience and I would have no trouble staying there again.

I have stayed in this hotel in the past. It is always very comfortable and the service is pleasant and efficient. Excellent A/C (very important in Chennai during May), and excellent breakfast buffet.

Had a very nice stay at this hotel. Everything was perfect. Staff was very friendly and always there to help or even to handle any special request. Dinner buffet had many options, many desserts. Just like morning breakfast.

Marriott is losing its customer centricity, it seems to be a global phenomenon. It has become a common observation. I have had better experiences with other hotel chains atleast in this year.

This property is in the center of the city with Shopping mall next to it. Spacious room, good Wi-Fi. In room dining has limited menu but they have a very wide breakfast spread which is amazing and delicious as well. Met Chef Prakash Patil and team, he provided some out of the menu dishes which were simply awesome. Thanks Mr. Patil and team includes Pushpa and Manjiri from service team for quick support in resturant. They have customer centric approach as CRM Neethu asked several time about the stay. Thanks to Entire team.

A very nice hotel, incredibly clean and modern. My room was fantastic, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge. There is a great selection of restaurants within the hotel. The facilities are great, the gym is good for a hotel and the pool is stunning. We had a bit of a mix up with our airport pick up but the staff were very apologetic and more than made up for it with incredible service and free access to the Westin Lounge. I was very impressed by the staff, the cleaners leave lovely notes and make animal sculptures out of the towels. I was particulary impressed with Rumina who was excellent throughout our stay. I will definitely be staying here during my future trips to Chennai.

I stayed at the Westin Chennai twice during Aug 2022. The Customer Service here is excellent. Something that other Marriott hotels can learn from. Attentive, helpful without being overbearing.
Received an email even before I checked in asking if they could do anything to welcome me at the airport or do anything else to make check in easy.
Checking in was quick, easy with a separate area for Elite members. Jenny did a great job with check in and with check out.
Food is very good at the hotel and since i stayed several days, I can vouch for the prompt attentiveness of the people at the main restaurant. Many names ... Bala, Amit, Pushpa, Rajesh, Kamlesh, Hrishikesh stood out as excellent.
Variety of food is nice and the Sunday brunch is very good.
The rooms are clean, quite and at excellent international standards. The concierge is very helpful as are the staff. Pool was closed for renovation, however the hotel had prominently mentioned it several times, and made alternate arrangements which I did not use.
A beautiful Bon Voyage pastry put icing on the cake of two very nice stays.
Rating this Westin highly. Recommended.

To start with my review I would like to mention that this is the worst 5 star property I have seen.
We ordered food from in room dining (20 mins) and also from Zomato (49 mins), due to rain Zomato could not deliver the food in time and they delivered in 60 mins but in room dining food we received after approx 1 hr 10 mins. Whatever we ordered from kitchen was not worth ordering from 5 start kitchen.
Next day after shower there was water leakage from shower area due to which bathroom floor was slippery and I might have accidentally fallen but I could save myself. When raised complaint on this they said they will send engineering person who came after 4-5 hrs. And in the end nothing happened. They said they will either change my room or will keep extra mats.
Internet connection was so poor that couldn’t establish the connection. So second day afternoon they kept the separate dongle in the room.
When food complaint was raised to head chef Biju, I am thankful to him that he served a very nice delicious food to us and we are happy to appreciate him for this. Thanks Mr. Biju.
I stayed at room no 9001 which was executive room and paid approx 12K for this and it was on top floor. During night on terrace hotel installed chillers which started making pathetic sound and vibration due to which I could not sleep for 3 nights.
Overall this priority is not even worth of giving 2 stars. Hotels don’t have enough cars for airport drop, travel desk is worst.

* Concierge was very helpful - stored our bags when we traveled for few days and arranged RTPCR test at the hotel for departure formalities

* No privacy curtain/blinds between bath and bedroom (has sliding glass doors that one can see through). They did install one upon request. Westin in Gurgaon has power blinds
* Room service was so-so but the restaurant food was good

we stayed at Westin from March 18 to March20 with family and had a pleasant , enjoyable experience. This is our first time here. Each of our request was duly addressed. All the staffs - Front office, Room service, Restaurants, Swimming pool - were courteous and friendly,. Had excellent lunch and dinner meals at MKC restaurant. Super tasty food. Probably the best I have had in a while. Big Thanks to Chef Yuga and other staff at MKC who took care of us and served such a wonderful food. We certainly would stay again at Westin.

During my stay there was a power outage that took long to get resolved. Mr. Abhishek helped with the issue and offered to provide stay in a different branch of their hotel. Unfortunately we had to face the issue but glad Abhishek and team helped us with alternative.

It had a grand entrance which we expect in a 5 star property.
The corridor leading to the rooms smelled really bad due to the carpets.
The first room provided had very bad smell. Mr. Jagdish helped us to get another room. The process though took a while.
The other room had a bad smell coming from the AC vent and it even had moulds. A photo was taken by their staff and getting another room was again taking too long. It was close to 11:30pm so I opted to stay in the same room for a night.
Next day, they changed the room by themselves. The room was good but then starts the problems. The water in the bathtub was full of dirt. It was brown in color. We were shocked and complained which was handled by the service team but then you don’t expect this is a 5 star property.
Then the water in the shower cubicle had water logging. Overall I was very disappointed.
Mr. Fernandes offered us free dinner but since we were there to attend a marriage, it made no sense so requested lounge access at Bangalore which he wanted to get back after checking but till now did not get any call.
So it’s pretty disappointing

We liked the stay due to friendly staff like Chef Narayan, bell boy Anand and all others.
Restaurant and the front desk staff are friendly and helpful.
Clean hotel, clean linen, comfortable air conditioning and friendly house keeping staff are few things out of many to highlight.
Good choice of Vegetarian food menu is the best we enjoyed.

I found it a good place to stay on business. But there were many families around as well, so I guess it’s convenient to both. Service was good and fast. Tried two restaurants (the ground floor buffet and Madras Kitchen Company ) - food was just average, not great. I must mention here the responsiveness of the housekeeping staff who were quick to help me out here when I had forgotten a jacket after checking out. Impressive speed of action and responsibility and follow-up.
