Property is clean basic rooms if you need a safe place to stay not to expensive then City is a good place. No elevator so walking up the steps is worst then a workout in the gym. I would not recommend for anybody in a wheelchair or have walking problems. Breakfast is basic bread cheese juice boil eggs. Up the street is empanada spot the one with the red cart best one. Also a Mc Donald’s and supermarket around the corner. Area is pretty much safe but I would not walk at night better if you take Uber to where you will have to go.

The property seems to be going through some renovations/upgrades so I'll take that into consideration. Everything in my room worked well and the location is in walking distance to many restaurants.
I will return to Santo Domingo in a few months and I plan to stay there again. Im ooking forward to seeing the completed product.

The property offers good value for money, but it is not a boutique hotel. I would describe it more like a motel or short term rental. The employees are very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom only had soap available so I would recommend that the hotel provide shampoo and conditioner or state in the listing that they do not provide toiletries. The place is good for those who need to stay close to the university or for those who want a clean, affordable place just to sleep, since there are no restaurants or attractions nearby.

The room was so clean and quiet. Nice people working there. I've stayed just two nights for work this time, but I'll be back with my wife next time. Great place for couples if you're looking a place for rest and enjoy the city. Basic Breakfast available, they don't have a lot of choices but was ok. I had a car but easy access for uber or lyft transportation if needed. Local food available nearby, just a few steps from hotel. In my opinion, was cool.

Overall stay was good. The breakfast was reasonably good. There is no elevator in the hotel so it was difficult to take the luggage to the second floor. Within 1/2 a mile there are fast food restaurants and grocery shop. For the price of the hotel room, it is a great place.

Hotel is very updated and contemporary type look, for the price it’s a good deal (I upgraded to the apartment). Mornings are started with lots of honking and traffic on the ride right in front of the hotel.
Overall if you’re taking taxis everywhere but want something nice but affordable then you can’t go wrong with this hotel…. The neighborhood is a little shady at night but overall quiet and alright. No crazy sounds or events in the 5 days I was there.

Some of the rooms not was cleaned very well. The towels look like very old. They really don’t have a breakfast just a bread and juice or coffee. In some rooms the A/C don’t cooled well and also I find some insect including a bees. Don’t have elevator and the have a very unsafe stairs

Very surprised at how nice our room was. Had a fridge, safe, nicely appointed room, and comfortable bed. Most important, it was quiet. Easy 18 minute walk to the cultural plaza where there are many museums that are unfortunately closed currently. Neighborhood seemed safe. Breakfast consisted of pastries, juice, and cereal. Front desk spoke passable English.
