Arrived late and did not get the opportunity to explore the hotel. Reception team were professional and processed swiftly. Follow up text if the room was all in order. Room was fine, appeared quite for the time I was there. Large hotel, with adequate parking and not crammed into small bays with no room to open doors and get luggage out. Thanks Barrier controlled parking, take your ticket with you get it validated before you leave. Check access point to parking as not clear until you know where you are going. Breakfast was fine, a standard buffet breakfast. I did not try the restaurant but note there is a standard 12.5% service charge which is added. I hate this practice which is growing and should be removed and left to be placed at the customers discretion! Not bullied in to it ! You pay enough for the hotel and food should have to add additional costs.

Hotel didn’t tell us that we wouldn’t be able to leave by car until after a half marathon finished - sat around for hours wasted a full day will not be going back

Incredible stay I had a room with an incredible view of the cricket ground and a balcony to sit out on. The room was spacious and well lit and the tv had the sky sports channels.

A good and convenient hotel. I thought the showers were disappointing - not overhead, and also the maximum hot water heat was not high enough.

The room is spacious, quiet and reasonably clean, save for that there are some slightly dirty markings on the walls and ceiling, and the shower tray has worn out marks.

Amazing hotel and walking distance if goig to old Trafford, and thr tram is minutes away if you want to go shopping, concerts or just out for the night it so convenient

Pleasent stay

Stayed one night and were pleasantly surprised to be staying AT the cricket stadium. We were in a newer part of the complex, which has a restaurant, but we went down to the main restaurant/bar area and had a great conversation with the bar manager. Everyone was super nice, would definitely stay again.

Nice hotel, clean and reception staff friendly. Disappointing breakfast service on one of the days. Long wait for hot food from the hot plate buffet, long wait for the 1 working coffee machine. Kitchen staff complaining about having to make more food.

Stayed as we were here for the England v Australia cricket game - cancelled due to rain-. Hotel check in was easy and we had our room by 2:30pm. Bar area was nice, didn't eat any food but it looked like passing by us. Room clean, bathroom nice with free toiletries, kettle in room and no problem getting extra t-bags from the bar staff. Breakfast very good, the usual cereal etc, then a hot buffet spread, then pastries, croissants etc.

Nice venue with main corridor and edge restaurant overlooking cricket ground. Advertise bathrobes in the king room but don’t supply them. Not a major issue however if my wife had known she would have taken her own!

Let’s focus on the positive, I was offered a twin room for the price of a single when everyone knows, if one travel alone one cannot expect decent accommodation. So thank you for that. I chose Old Trafford, not for the cricket (or football) but to be close to family. It’s not close to other facilities so you will need a car. The room was clean, quiet, and with curtains drawn, totally dark.

Great stay and lovely hotel. Came back to get the car and popped into use the toilet, but a security guard prevented us as sometimes drunks try to lie to get in on the way back from the game, the guard caught up on the way to the car and apologised as he thought we were lying and then let us in.

Room was very clean and spacious, staff were polite and helpful, location was good for what we wanted.

In Manchester for my son’s birthday and the hotel made a fantastic base. Very comfortable room, Fantastic view of cricket ground, great service, free parking and very close to a tram stop. Perfect location!

Lovely hotel - friendly staff. Perfect if watching football or cricket and situated right next to tram service to central Manchester. Good choice of food at buffet breakfast. Had a tasty steak in the evening - other fish, meat and vegetarian choices available. Restaurant overlooks cricket pitch. Could have done with a bit more lighting in the Restaurant in the evening- as it was a bit too dark. A lot of building work happening next to the hotel - although you cant really hear it from your room and it doesn't impact your movements

Fabulous position looking out over the cricket ground if you choose a room with a view which is so worth it. Great breakfast and very easy parking. Can recommend.

We only stayed for 1 night, whilst we were in the area. The hotel was very clean, despite the Test match crowd being in. The staff were pleasant, especially Gabriel, in the bar. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide choice of food, the Bacon and Sausage, both need a special mention, as they were excellent quality. Only downside was the queue for the 1 toaster and 1 Coffee machines that were there.

I booked a stay through Expedia and paid upfront, but was asked to pay again at check-in at the Hilton. Not realising I was being double-charged, I noticed two pending charges before checking out and was told by Hilton staff that it was just a hold. However, after checking out, I was indeed charged twice. When I contacted Hilton to resolve the issue, they were unhelpful and claimed they hadn't received payment from Expedia. After multiple calls, I finally spoke to someone at Hilton who acknowledged the double charge and processed a refund. The entire experience was frustrating, and Hilton's lack of support was disappointing. The staff needs better training, and I should never have been asked to pay twice.

What I liked is the availability of parking and paid breakfast. What did not like is that all of the given rooms the A/C was not working and they were aware of it but failed to inform the guest at the time of booking/check-in and did not fix it. The bar attendant couldn't add my order to my room and had to pay then and there like a non guest of the hotel. Room wall had black marks. Expected better from a Hilton Group hotel.

It's a busy hotel for cricketers and spectators so booking in a queue can be long. There's no where to sit if you're disabled so it tired me out, I wouldn't say reception was friendly. Not much info. Our room was average but clean. The bathroom has only a shower, but clean. Our room was just near the elevator, which we realised was quite noisy once we'd settled in bed but the bed was very comfortable and we slept. We had a meal in the restaurant due to the bar not having any gluten-free meals and advised to try the restaurant on floor 1. They gave us a one page menu it stated a good choice of gluten-free so having ordered and received our drinks we gave our order, only to be told there wasn't gluten-free options, the menu had been printed wrong. I choose risotto and extra salmon basically that was all (excepting the very expensive steaks :( ) Staff tried to be helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a better experience, gluten-free, tho not as much choice as other places for me. Our day at 100 match was great. On match nights the bar is overflowing and no seats. Thankfully we'd eaten gluten-free from the cricket ground eateries. Free parking at the hotel and it's just outside the hotel -gate2. Entry to cricket grounds is easy just next to the hotel. I've left this review for 2 weeks hoping I could feel more positive.

Fantastic location, tram stop right behind so very easy to get into the centre. Lovely and clean, nice to have a little balcony with a view of the pitch! Staff super friendly, and for once a reasonable check out time 👌spot on.

Excellent hotel for football trip ..will use again .

The room was lovely - it had everything we needed and was very clean. I also really liked the view from our room of the pitch.
