My husband & I visiting Puerto Rico for the first time and we wanted to have a beach house experience. Numero Uno Beach House gave us what we were looking for a clean, safe place with the view of the ocean/beach from our room. My recommendation for the Beach House is do have small activities for the guests after the restaurant bar area is closed. For example trivia-games night, meet & greet, Happy Hour bring your own bottles and snack's.

Hotel is on the beach. Beautiful views. Rooms have no balcony but a relaxing balcony is available for guests. We were in a deluxe oceanview room. It is spacious but shower a bit small. Customer service is great, everyone is warm and accomodating. Beach chair and umbrellas are provided. I will stay there again if we return to San Juan

We loved staying here. It was as close as you can get to the beach. Very safe and secure area. At night the house was locked preventing people from just walking in the property.

My first trip to Puerto Rico was a dream. This property was absolutely perfect. From the ocean view room to the amazing staff. I don’t plan on staying anywhere else but here when I visit again very soon.

My boyfriend and I (mid 20s) booked the ocean view room. It was gorgeous waking up to seeing the beautiful beach each day. We loved how convenient the restaurant and bar were. We also loved the perk of an umbrella, chairs, and towels that came as a hotel guest. The maid service and front desk crew were all friendly and helpful. We felt very safe walking around the Ocean Park neighborhood. Found some delicious food within walking distance of the hotel too! Can’t wait to go back just maybe not during a heat wave next time!

It was amazing and perfect for a solo traveler!

Pros: I like that it’s a small boutique property versus giant resort. Great location on the beach and you get complementary umbrella and loungers if you stay here. Cons: Seems they’re going for an industrial aesthetic, but it’s actually just super basic and needs some TLC to merit the nightly rates (like the wall mount TV was crooked and cable box hanging from a wire). We had an Oceanview room which was small but not as small as a room I had on a previous stay. The windows were filthy on the inside and there was still some residual sand on the floor when I arrived. The bathroom lighting is terrible and there’s no counter space to put your toiletries. No extra toilet paper was provided, I had to snag some from the closet. The entry door to the rooms are frosted glass and you can hear everything in the echo-y hallway, including the maids, making a lot of noise in the hallways by 8 AM. The only lock is the door handle so didn’t feel very secure. The restaurant food is fine, nothing special, though we had a nice brunch there. Overall, for these rates, you could stay elsewhere with better amenities.

The staff made the experience great! Everyone was welcoming and excelled at customer service. The hotel is located near many food options and shopping. The hotel design was lovely and intimate enough that allowed for social gatherings around the hotel that was relaxing and fun. The beach was beautiful and water was clear. I would definitely stay here again when we return to Puerto Rico. Above all the wonderful attributes at the hotel the friendliness of the staff made the experience exceptional. Thank you for a great experience!

This property is a excellent place to stay if you want to visit old san juan and local neighborhood. It is safe and conveniently located. I loved our ocean view and it was very clean. I highly recommend to all to book this beach house.

Beautiful location.

We loved the beach being a few steps away from our room and appreciated the vegan food options. The rooms were spacious and the service was very very good. We would visit again!

We had a lovely stay at Numero Uno. The room was spacious and clean, with water and light snacks available daily — and it was quiet at night so we slept well. The location was ideal, right on the beach with access to beach loungers and umbrellas, and plenty of restaurants and bars in walking distance. The service at the restaurant was great and we enjoyed the food and drinks. We will be back next time we visit San Juan!

The staff was amazing!!!!! They treated us like family. Every single one of them. Roniel, alondra, alaya, paola, braulio and the one and only Oki were amazing in every single way. Their energy was contagious. So grateful for this place and the people. They made the trip even that more special. Gorgeous place and drinks were divine! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Will return.

We loved being on the beach, having breakfast with our feet in the sand, sitting on chaise lounges under an umbrella on the beach, and enjoying the surf and sunshine. The second floor balcony was a great place to enjoy the sand and water views when we didn’t want to be on the beach. People were warm, friendly and helpful. The restaurant food and drinks were, unfortunately, overpriced but we found wonderful alternatives within 1 or 2 blocks of the hotel.

We stayed one night and wish we could stay longer. Our room was lovely, spacious, and comfortable with the sound of crashing waves provided deep relaxation! The staff was friendly and helpful. Also, great location!

Pros: -Beach front -Friendly staff -Great restaurants walking distance -Beautiful View -Food and drinks on sight -Beach towels provided -Clean -Welcome Basket Cons -Minimum spending requirements at the restaurant -No lights on stairs -Construction went to 11pm -No access to boogie boards like advertised

The service outside on the beach was not so great. We really didn’t feel like we were treated well, especially for the price we paid. The room was okay (bathroom had a weird smell), view was amazing, but the window wouldn’t stay open. No amenities on the property.

Great location. It’s right on the beach. Our room was 30 feet from the beach. We really liked that beach chairs and umbrellas were included for guests at the hotel. However, our room was on the ground floor and it was really noisy starting at 7am. There was an ice machine just outside our room so we could hear people constantly getting ice. It was impossible to stay sleeping past 7am. Another thing to be aware of is the service. The staff is very friendly but slow. I had to ask staff multiple times for a drink. Breakfast was also very slow. We spent a lot of time waiting for a server or waiting for our food to come out. I would recommend walking somewhere else to get food. Luckily the hotel is in a great location so finding good restaurants and cafes nearby is easy.

Room I had was flooded with light from poorly placed switches Absolutely no compensation offered for 2 nights with almost no sleep… ridiculous
