I really enjoyed this modern property, and it the breakfast was great. The hot tub broke the morning before we got there and it wasn't fixed until after we left, so that was a bit of a bummer. We will stay here again.

Careful with cleaning, and change of sheets/towels. Unfortunately, encountered lots of human/ pet Hairs in bathtub and restroom and I’ve got very dirty bed sheets. Not enough pillows and water bottles. Overall, great as always.

I am so glad this place is getting the reviews and the place it deserves. It definitely is a hidden gem in the City of GUA. Now I'm sad I can't book every time I go since they are booked out often. I travel with my Service Dog, and there has never been a place that lets me book fast and efficiently without "begging" to allow my dog. Price is unbeatable due to the amenities, parking on-site, free breakfast, spacious rooms/apartments, and the best of all it is super close to pretty much EVERYTHING! Guys are attentive, cautious, and very outgoing. btw, they have a tiny elevator to those upper-level rooms they take you to your room and help, but don't expect they will carry luggage for you. I mean, it is NOT A LUXURY hotel. BOOK! I truly recommend this gem!

Great location and great value. On Friday night I heard music from the surroundings since the hotel is close to local clubs, however, the windows worked good enough to mitigate most of the noise.

This hotel its so beautifully maintained. The staff is amazing, and the location is super safe, you can walk to the mall, plaza, restaurants. The pool is beautiful, the breakfast was really good. I am very happy with my stay here. I loved it.

I loved the hotel, personal attention, clean, big rooms. But, gym is very small, no lifts.

we have stayed here before. We like how spacious the apartments are. We also like the complimentary breakfast, pool, playground and ping pong table. Only downside is that it can get a little noisy on the weekends with the businesses around.

LOVED MY ROOM, HOWEVER I NEVER SAW ANYONE ELSE STAYING AT THE HOTEL. I FELT LIKE I WAS THE ONLY PERSON THERE. VERY STRANGE. ALSO, ONE OF THE REASONS I BOOKED THIS PLACE WAS BECAUSE IN THE DESCRIPTION, IT SAYS THERE WAS A BAR AND THERE WAS NO BAR

Very good hotel, in a quiet area of Guatemala City. The hotel room was actually a 2-bedroom + living room apartment full of space and with large and very comfortable beds. Very nice staff and common shared areas (pool, garden, breakfast room, etc) very well maintained.

We have stayed here multiple times now. We love that we get a whole spacious apartment, especially since we have two small kids. They enjoy the playground as well as the pool. Staff is very attentive and always help us with anything we need. Located in a safe area.

We stayed at Casa Serena as a family while looking for a house to rent. Our family has traveled all over the world and having a 3 year old son. There is not another hotel that is even close in terms of being a safe/fun place for kids. Apart from that we have a 94 pound golden retriever. I tried close to 100 hotels none of them would accept a dog over 20 lbs..even resorted to trying pet hotels which would have separated her from her for a week or so breaking all of our hearts. They too would not accept large dogs. So we found Casa Serena and they welcomed our dog and us in with open arms. The staff and people of Guatemala are by far the friendliest we have encountered in all our travels. The rooms are enormous and well set up. I would recommend Casa Serena as one of the finest hotels I have ever stayed in particularly for those with kids. They treat you like family.

Reserved 2 bedroom apartment with 3 king size beds. Checking in they told us they were unaware that we were travelling with young children. When reserving on Hotels.com I entered the kids' ages. They had 2 one-bedroom apartments across the hallway from each other. So we ended up all in a one-bedroom apartment with one kind size bed. The bedroom had A/C, but the living room did not. They could not give us a discount on the first night because it was done through Hotels.com, but they could give us a discount for the additional nights. They were able to switch us to a two-bedroom apartment the next day. It had a king size bed in one bedroom and a queen and a full size beds in the 2nd bedroom, not the advertised 3 king sized beds. It had A/C in the bedroom with the king size bed, but not in second bedroom or living area. We paid the originally quoted price. The pool and playground were nice. Breakfast was very good and had a couple of different offerings everyday along with other options offered every day. There was a person that cooked eggs to order. They had pancakes or waffles also, although it was not obvious unless you asked. Weekend nights were loud until about 1AM. There’s a bar/restaurant across the street. The 2nd apartment we got had insulated windows, which muffled the sound some, but the 1st one had thin windows. The parking was tight, but we were always able to get a spot. Despite the issue we had with our setup the 1st night, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

The hotel was great. I had problems with my reservation and they solved the issue really fast. Rooms are very clean and the neighborhood is very secure.
