The toilet cistern filling ,floorboards and room doors, were noisy.staff very nice breakfast good.very reasonable price.

For a 3 star hotel I find Rivelyn excellent. It is always clean, the staff are helpful and friendly and beds are comfortable and the breakfast well cooked. It is located within a 2 minute walk to beautiful sea views from the Esplanade, a 5 minute walk of local shops and a 10 minute or less walk to the town centre, restaurants, cafes and the theatre, and also the beach.

Second time stayed here. Not far from town centre. Breakfast lovely bed was very comfortable. Shower a bit tired and furniture. £2 a day Street parking.Great value for money

Never had the room cleaned once in the 4 days we were there, no towels replaced.

Hotel was clean but very tired and dated dinner was got to be one of the worst ever eaten in a hotel the breakfast was the second worst meal I’ve ever eaten in a hotel Had to be moved out of my room because of the stench of drains which the hotel staff said that room had a problem so why let people stay in it only stayed here because our usual hotel was fully booked won’t stay again

From start to finish the staff where very friendly and helpful, check in was a breeze. I read other reviews before we went saying the room where basic, but we didnt pay the ritz prices, and we was pleasantly surprised, we had a huge comfy bed, matching table, wardrobe and dressing table, the room was spotlessly clean. The toilet light wasnt working, so my husband went to reception, within 30mins it had been mended. We didnt eat in the hotel, but on saying that, they meals did look very nice and there was plenty of guests dining there.

A very enjoyable three night stay with my wife and four year old daughter. Nothing was too much trouble for the extremely friendly staff. The breakfast was particularly good and the staff, especially Adele, were very helpful with the needs of our four year old at breakfast time. Avery good value stay in a good location and highly recommended.

Room was clean but could of done with a couple of chairs to sit on no hot water for showering when we used the sink we ad smelly sewage coming up in the shower that smelt the room out we reported it twice they came twice to clear it but it didnt work so had to go and buy flannels so we could wash our selfs we had to boil the kettle for hot water didnt go out at night because i felf dirty we was glad to be home not a good menu for you to eat in the one night the sheff didnt turn up they should be so high in making sure everything is working because of covid so disappointed

It was ok, tiny room with the double bed squished against a wall.

For a Three Star Hotel I've seen better, been a Housekeeping Supervisor myself I found a few things wrong, also since when do Staff sit on Hoovers in corridors. As for our room move very quick, but our complaint should have been picked up by the staff cleaners. Apart from that what staff we did see were very polite.

Basic and comfortable hotel. Bed was so comfy.

The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly, couldn't fault them. However the room we were given was our problem, it was on the ground floor literally around the corner from the hotel bar so noise was a significant problem. We had the bar door entrance next to our room which banged everytime anyone entered or left. This made our room door shake, I solved this by trapping a towel in the door, genius. The king size bed was actually a king size mattress on top of a double bed which resulted in my husband falling out of bed when he turned over as there was no base to support the mattress, did add to our laughter. We actually had a really nice time but think if we had had a different room in the hotel it would have been better. It's a pet friendly hotel which was cute to see them in the bar, not so cute when you can hear them scratching at doors or whining.

Three of us in 3 seperate rooms for long weekend. Hotel coukd do with a spruce up, looking jaded in parts. Too many dogs!! May be dog friendly but one of our group had allergy to dogs. We had breakfast there two mornings, food was plentiful and delicious. Drinks at bar quite reasonable. First night no evening meals available however we were allowed to order in pizza and eat in bar lounge as we drank. All the staff were friendly and helpful, o problems there.
