The warmest most friendly and personal service! Delightful food and amazing views plus clean comfortable rooms made this a special week!

The staff, large rooms with balconies and views were wonderful! The hotel is a little tired and very difficult to walk around as it’s so steep on the mountainside. There are many stone stairs that would be limiting to anyone with mobility problems. We enjoyed our stay, but found the property a little too far from the beach and town.

While I had a very brief stay, late night check in and late morning check out. The hospitality of Celine, the owner, to greet me, was genuinely appreciated. I had a lovely room overlooking the ocean and bay of Zihuatanejo. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. I also had a yummy breakfast. It's a long walk to the beach and a store, but I'd try this place again, for sure!

Couldn’t find hotel

This is an exceptional place with a ten million dollar view across La Ropa beach and the waterfront. The property houses a variety of exotic birds which were rescued and provide endless entertainment. Celine and Miguel are gracious hosts who built the place and several adjacent condo developments. All the staff are helpful and attentive to your requests. The restaurant and bar are next to an infinity pool all with the same stunning view. You can walk down to La Rosa beach but will need a collectivo or taxi into town or for nearby excursions.

Pablo and Celine have been terrific hosts and Jesse our maid is sweet and hard working. Breakfasts are a treat and infinity pool a real oasis. Our suite was large and had a terrific balcony. The views of Playa la Ropa and Zihuatanejo across the bay are stunning. The location at the top of a hill means steep walks back from the beach ,so for those less mobile you would need taxis. The lively Centro, fun at night, is about a 100 peso taxi ride each way.This hotel is ideal for those seeking a mainly quiet time in Zihuatanejo, eating most meals at the hotel and enjoying the amazing setting and hospitality.

The view cannot be beat, the staff friendly and helpful. The property itself needs TLC. My shower head was old and crusted with minerals that made water go everywhere. The restaurant food was not good. My rice looked like it had been sitting out for a long time with a crust and cold. And as for adults only, there was a baby there but only for maybe a night. There were very few guests. The bed was comfortable but I would not stay there again.

Absolutely lovely stay with nice people and lovely view. We’ll definitely stay here next visit to Zihua.

This is a quiet hotel with the best views possible. The hotel staff and management is great. Jesy, Eddie and the owner's were very attentive. Be prepared for a few bugs and a decent hike up and down the hill. Taxis are easy to get. It's a nature preserve so you'll see all kinds of wonderful creatures. If you're looking for something different than the resort experience than pick this place.

The property showcases both the heavenly beauty of Zihuateneo in a gorgeous setting above one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico. The owners/hosts are gracious, genuine and kind. You can't not unwind here...and dream of returning before your first day is even over.

Was on the hill with gorgeous view of zihuatenajo bay. Room needed a fridge to keep drinks cold but host was nice to provide cooler of ice for us. Another issue was we didnt have hot water in the shower. We had quick minutes showers. We were only there one day so didnt matter as much was hot out.. celine n manuel were great hosts. Continental breakfast was great! Pool was clean n has great view of bay. We would definitely stay again.

Notre plus belle escale au mexique avec ce jolie hotel a taille humaine .Les chambres spacieuses avec terrasses offre un point de vue unique sur la baie pitoresque et préservé. La piscine sur la terrasse principale offre aussi un point de vue magique et le bar permet de prendre un verre devant ce panorama unique.A ne pas manquer le restaurant située pres de la piscine est aussi avec cette vue tres romantique au coucher du soleil, la cuisine est celle d un chef et sa sauce a la coriandre qui accompagne les crevettes ou le poisson est tres gourmande. Il y a un jardin de montagne avec ses oiseaux et tortues que celine la propriétaire ne manquera pas de vous faire visiter zvec moultes explicztions precieuse. L histoire de ce lieux se confond avec celle de son propriétaire Manuel qui est sprctaculaire et pleines de rebondissements. Vous avez compris allez nulle part ailleurs et restez y plusieurs jours la plage en contre bas vous permettra de nager avec les pélicans plongeurs les bb tortues et les banc de petits poissons.

This place is absolutely magical! If you’re looking for a secluded romantic stay with an authentic feeling of Mexico, look no further! The staff and owners go above and beyond to make your stay special. The views are absolutely breathtaking and our stay couldn’t have been better! Absolutely zero complaints. We will definitely be returning. Thank you La Escollera! PS...make sure you are hungry for their amazing restaurant. Food and cocktails are outstanding!

We had a great stay at this hotel. It has is own very unique charm. Great place to stay.

La Escollera was exactly as advertised. We loved the location on a hill overlooking the bay and the beach. The Restaurant at La Escollera was excellent and the staff was very very helpful and attentive. The view was incredible, night and day. We could not have asked for more. Also, we enjoyed Mina's breakfasts and cleaning services; the entire staff was excellent.
