The Chestnut Street Inn is a gem. It checks all the boxes. Historic Inn with all the modern comforts - we stayed in the Biltmore Room with a two person Jacuzzi tub and heated tile bathroom floor. Great breakfasts - each day was something different but always delicious. Great hosts - Arturo was friendly and gave us many great recommendations for dinner, hikes and other activities in and around Asheville. Great location - we walked to dinner in downtown Asheville every evening. The inn is also very convenient to the highways so it was really easy to drive to more distant places. Altogether our stay at the Chestnut Street Inn was a 5-Star experience.

The rooms are decorated with antiques and lovely knick-knacks, though the space is confined, as are the bathrooms.

what was truly unique about the place is the people who own the inn. Delightful, caring, very concerned about each visitor. they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had good info about the restaurants and activities in the area.

A great place to stay! This was an anniversary trip for my wife and I, and we were looking for some fun things to do during our first trip to the Asheville area. The owners, Emilie and Arturo, were super friendly and went above and beyond to provide us with great recommendations for hiking trails, brewery tours, restaurants, wine bars, etc. The Chestnut Street Inn was very inviting and there was always a batch of fresh cookies waiting for us each time we came in and went out. Breakfast was fabulous! Each morning Emilie had a fun, short story to tell about the dish she prepared. Also, my wife and I really appreciated that all the guests sat at the same table for breakfast, as everyone was able to share their travel stories and recommendations. We highly recommend this b&b!

Such a charming little B&B with 8 rooms. Owner run the Inn and couldn't be friendlier and more hospitable. The location is perfect as it's close to downtown but on a quiet residential street. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely return. I highly recommend this B&B for your stay while in Asheville.

Taken care of from the moment we stepped into The Chestnut Inn. Our hosts, Emilie and Arturo could not have been more kind, resourceful and receptive. Every breakfast was tasteful and presented with charm and class. Emilie inspired and equipped us to experience days full of adventure, including directions to a breath taking hike in the Blue Ridge mountains prior to our drive home.

Greeted by very gracious and friendly innkeepers. Tasty homemade afternoon snacks and wine. Warm and charming inn. Quiet location, but just a few minute walk to downtown. Nicely apportioned room. Fireplace was a welcome amenity. Gourmet breakfast. Would definitely visit again.

Emilie and Arturo are great hosts! They were very gracious and willing to make changes to suit my dietary restrictions. Emilie even invited my daughter to eat breakfast with the rest of the guests and myself, since I was staying by myself in the room. The room was very comfortable and clean. I enjoyed my stay at the Inn very much.

The reception when we arrived was great. It was like "coming home" to somebody and the same hospitality lasted for the whole stay, two days. The hotel placed in a quiet street with, beautiful garden around and porches with rocking chairs where we could sit and enyou a cup of tea. The room was clean, beautiful and cosy. The breakfast was amazing, tasty and delicate.We realy enjoyed sitting around the table together with the other guests, just like a family. You also helped us finding our way in Asheville, both where to go and where to eat. Again, thank you very much. We would love to come back. All the best from Bente and Arne from Norway

I would go back here in a heartbeat. Fabulous hospitality, great breakfast, and very good location. You should have no qualms about staying here at all!

This large historic inn is the nicest B&B/inn I've ever stayed at. The innkeepers, Emilie, Arturo, and Chris are the best giving attention to every detail. Gorgeous rooms - stayed in both the Iron Horse and the Zen Retreat which is also called the Honeymoon Suite for obvious reasons.

This bed and breakfast is superb. Emilie and Artruro are great hosts and are very welcoming. It is close to the downtown area were you can sample great beer and food. Emilie is very knowledgeable of Asheville and gave us some great tips on restaurants and trips.The rooms are all really lovely and the breakfast is second to none. We will be returning. We are so lucky to have been able to share this lovely home. What a treasure.

When you switch on the bathroom light the fan also comes on. It was very loud and should be separately switched. Also the carpet should be vacuumed daily. First B&B experience and it was fantastic! Emilie was very accommodating and friendly. The room was lovely and the linens were great. We really enjoyed the breakfast. It was definitely farm to table fresh and delicious! We were definitely disappointed when it was time to leave. The next time we return to Asheville we will definitely be re-booking with the Chestnut Street Inn. Thanks Emilie and Arturo for a great Bed & Breakfast experience! Every detail was managed with care - lovely, comfortable rooms, delicious & filling breakfasts, the "cookie of the day", and questions answered with ease.
