1st time i see un friendly staff at the hotel in bangkok City!
I am a gold member of Hotels.com & i was not given an upgrade mentioning clearly by the front desk that they dont deel with hotels.com

Breakfast had limited options for Muslims (mejorty options had pork)! While it says its halal food ingredient at the restaurant reception.

At check-in they insisted that we had requested twin beds even though my hotels.com reservation clearly stated that we requested a king size. They initially said no king size beds were available at all but eventually found us a room with a king size (upgraded room type).
About the room, lighting controls were confusing, with bathroom light switches by the front door. The bed was one of the best I’ve slept in with really good pillows and bed linen.
Towels were not replaced by housekeeping so we had to call reception, and oddly enough we received some yellow, very thin/flimsy towels that barely did the job (unlike the fluffy towels we had originally).
Service and food quality in SEEN restaurant and pool bar was haphazard at best. Prices are “5 star” but quality certainly didn’t live up to it.

Avani is a beautiful hotel - really clean and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. The location is fantastic and the bed is one of the best I’ve slept on. Breakfast is great too. Would definitely recommend this hotel

The place is acceptable, their breakfast is good and location could be better but it's acceptable. Their river transport is quite bad. They made us wait for over an hour in at least one of our trips. Their concierge could barely speak English. Bring your own guidebook and you'll be much better served. The reception clerk spent way more time investigating my passport than providing clear instructions re the property. Their pool was unusable. Some good views of the bay but most definitely no information re Bangkok, its attractions, transport and many other areas. Definitely not a 5Star property although the pricing is 5Star for Bangkok. Go somewhere else.

Hotel is old, smell of mold, the bed was very comfortable. Very small bathroom. Electric outlet and switches are far from the bed. To turn off the light you need to walk to the front door, Over priced for the value, located in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by car repair shops and poor neighbourhoods.

Beautiful, well designed property. Top quality facility and breakfast. Friendly, helpful, attentive, prompt and professional staff in every department. Only real problem is the shower in the room. Irregular shifting of water temperatures from boiling to cold and weak water pressure.

The views are gorgeous, especially at night. This establishment has everything you need with multiple bars, restaurants and stores. The gym is great and the infinity pool is awesome
Perfect temperature and relaxing. Did I mention the views? Yes, the views. Breakfast buffet was very good with many options. The staff was superb. I will be back for sure.

We had a very nice stay at Avani Riverside. Our room had a great view of the river, staff were polite and helpful, and the breakfast buffet offered an incredible variety and changed every day! Having the hotel connect to a mall was also very convenient as we could get food or stop by the 7-Eleven anytime. Although we did not know this in advance, the hotel offers a free ferry service to a metro stop every 30 minutes, which we took advantage of every single day.
