Its not what i was expecting from the information i got from internet

For the price it was a good stay. Bed takes some get to use to. Beautiful grounds.

Beautiful setting-right next to Canyon Lake. Employees very friendly-good recommendations for restaurants-Piesano and Millstone Bed, shower, TV excellent No bath exhaust fan, but window can be opened No ice machine but problem could be solved with ice trays and defrosting refrigerator I'll stay there next time I go to Rapid

Cabin was very quiet and comfortable. Could use some updating in the bathroom and kitchen areas but overall made for a very nice stay. Staff was very accommodating to all our needs.

This is regarding the Motel Style rooms, not cabins. They feel old and are grimmy. The walls are thin, and you can hear everything, that means the baby next door to the family rearranging chairs to get comfy to the young couple next door, if you know what I mean. Also, everything is dated and old. The toilet was loud when flushed, and for some reason, there was a hot water heater in our room that ran every time anyone around us used water. The fridge and freezer were easily from the 1970s, and overall, it seems like a cheap motel, not some place you want to take your family for a weekend away.

Nice property.

I loved this property for our family of 4. There is much to do outside. a park across the lake, walking paths along the stream. Paddle boats were available which our kids enjoyed. There was an ice cream truck in the parking lot. Wish that we could've stayed longer. There is so much to do in Rapid and all around it as well. We will definitely be back!

Bathrooms need updated. Step to get into rooms was a lttle higher than normal. Harder for older people to enter.

Easy check in. Deb was great! Super clean and comfortable beds! Picnic benches in front of our room to sit and watch the lake and ducks! Highly recommend!

Quaint property…free paddle boarding at the lake for registered guests. Gathered around a fire pit with others staying in nearby rooms to chat. Cute place.

The surrounding area, the lake, ducks, lawns, the property itself was absolutely beautiful.

Where do i begin? I grew up in Rapid City and went to Canyon Lake park frequently as a child. Now after moving away, and having not being able to stay with family, we needed a new place to gather. What an amazing facility the resort is! They have everything you need for a largebor small gathering. The availability of the lodge, or cabins was perfect for a reunion/95th birthday party for 40 people! I cannot recommend Canyon Lake resort enough!

Shared a weekend with family for a wedding at this lodge. The staff was wonderful and accommodating and rooms were clean and comfortable.

An excellent place for a large family gathering. Various sizes of rooms and cabins.

We had a studio cabin and it would’ve been just fine if there had just been a bit more storage or shelving units to set things on. Kitchen was very small but barbecue outside helped a lot. Area was so pretty and you could go on some real scenic walks. Staff was excellent

We thought we were gonna be in a single cabin to ourselves. We were in a room like a motel. The lake was beautiful. The place was dirty and kitchen as well as out dated. The people were friendly.

Definitely would not recommend this property. Arrived around 8 pm and my room key was just taped to the door of the office where anyone could have taken it. The shower leaked so bad it shot onto the ceiling and then the water from the ceiling dripped down onto you. It smelled stale, damp, and musty inside the room. There was a bug in the bed. The mattress was old, squeaky, and uncomfortable. The pillows were flat. The room furniture stepped straight out of the 70's. The laundry area was open from 8 am to 8 pm. I needed this anemity as I was traveling and it was one of the few reasons I booked the location. Unfortunately, it wasn't open at 8, or at 9. I finally found and employee and they said only maintenance had the key and it would be a "couple hours" before they would be back to open it. On checkout, the receptionist was very condescending regarding my booking through Expedia. Overall, it was a terrible location and experience that I would not book again. I was too worried about the possibility of bed bugs and crackheads to actually enjoy my downtime in the evenings, instead sleeping with my loaded gun by my bedside and triple checking the locks.

Also a great place to stay while visiting Rapid City. The LAKE is so beautiful and relaxing to sit by

We stayed here for a wedding weekend and it exceeded over expectations. The rooms are really nice. Everything was really nice the housekeepers and staff were great. just all-around a great experience. We will definitely be back.

Great location. Wooded area, the room faced a park with a lake. Friendly staff, easy access to restaurants and groceries, and local attractions, like Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Deadwood, Sturgis. And a clean Laundry Room on site.

Running late into the property and owner made our check in so easy! Nice cozy cabin, very clean and perfect for our family!
