It’s terrible experience as full of condensate along air grill in the entire hotel, full of strange noice along public bath floor and public area, not a music, not a sound, it’s a nuisance noice everywhere, terrible condition inside public bath area with any staff for cleaning. Overall terrible experience throughout my stay.

Beautiful room, comfortable bed, lovely tub, and the garden was peaceful. Loved coming back here at the end of a day of exploring. Also in a great location!

Thank you for a wonderful stay in Kyoto. From the time of check-in till we checked out, it was a memorable experience. Staff was kind, very respectful, hospitable, and helpful when needed. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of western and Japanese cuisine. We felt right at home. Arigato Gozaimasu for everything. I highly recommend your property and we will stay here when we visit Kyoto again next year.

This hotel was actually great and I still like it now. The problem is just the frontdesk staff R. Miki (if I remember correctly). We booked 2 nights, with parking. First night we arrived around 5pm and checked in. The second day when we were walking around we found this great restaurant and made a reservation. But we were told that we have to move our car when check out at 11 am, but the restaurant was literally next door. So I was asking if we could park 1-2 hours longer to 1pm so we can finish lunch. Because we were not told that we need to remove car when check out at the beginning, as we are paying 3000 yen per day already and a 48-hour 6000 yen is a reasonable request. But we are actually parking much less, 5 pm checkin and 11 am checkout. The frontdesk lady, R Miki, was very rude and became very rough when I requested to park my car there for 1-2 hours after check out at 11 am. If nothing can be negotiated, I think the hotel pnly need an A4 paper not human being. And the fact that I was not told this rule at the beginning is also very unfair. And this is not an unreasonable request at all. The next hotel we stay allow to park until 1 pm after checkout so that you have more time to tour the surrounding. Overall, this hotel is excellent in the hardware. But it is really unfortunate with the staff. This experience completely ruined our day, we ended up not having lunch that day and all plans were changed. Horrible staff!

Very nice hotel near walking distance of the Gion district and Nishiki Market. The service here was amazing, and our room was so cool. It was way bigger than most in Asia and had a cool view of a garden wall. I paid for a garden view and literally it was a super cool living garden in the center of the hotel. It was like being next to the rainforest! The shower (which also had a large bathtub inside the same enclosure) looked out at this rainforest and was just so cool to shower next to. I never heard any of the other guests either which is a huge plus to me. Nice and quiet! We needed transportation arranged to the airport which the front desk staff did for me. They were very helpful! If we ever go back to Kyoto, I would definitely stay here again.

Great property in Kyoto with beautiful river views. Very near many dining and shopping options. The staff was great too - very kind, friendly and helpful. We had an issue with the vending machine and they sorted it out immediately! We will definitely stay here again when we visit Kyoto.

Easy access. Laundry and public bath are perks. Just didn’t have any coffee shop, bar, or dinner options within the hotel.

The location is great! Very central yet not too crowded with people the min you walk out. Many good restaurants nearby and 2 min walk to the subway. Hotel staff very helpful and professional. Room is a good size (26m) but narrow and long. A bit hard to layout the luggages. Bath room counter height is low and not enough counter space. Despite these minor flows still a very comfortable place.

We stayed in the garden suite. Seemed strange at first since it’s in the basement floor and you can’t get a sense of what time it is. But the garden wall grew on us and we liked the nature and the solitude. The onset was on that floor and that was such a plus we didn’t even know we’d get. Plus the coin laundry was so great to have and we love the breakfast in the morning. Most of all the location is perfect and the staff spoke English and was super helpful.

This was my favorite hotel we stayed at during our two week trip in Japan. Would highly recommend if you’re going to be in Kyoto. Quiet hotel, beautiful rooms, friendly staff, delicious breakfast, and excellent location. We even spent an afternoon at the included Onsen which was amazing and peaceful

Superb hotel with very convenient location and friendly staff. We had a room with the bath facing the green moss wall and therefore the bathing experience was so so nice. Room was spacious and clean. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kyoto :)

Best shower head , excellent water pressure , it's exactly what you need by the end of day after walking around the city . Only 2 minutes walking to metro, 5 minutes walking to busiest shopping district . Love this hotel , will stay again .

Brilliant hotel and staff were very helpful. Several amenities which were replenished every two days. The bath was extremely comfortable and relaxing. Great breakfast as well. Only downside was the pillow was quite flat but this wasn't enough to ruin our stay. Would 100% stay again

I like the location, staffs are very friendly. However, I don’t like they were trying to charge me early check in. I arrived around 12pm and they told me the check in time is 3pm. They l had rooms available but If I want the room now, I’ll have to pay additional charges. The location is great. It’s right next to the river. However, they’re no place for drinks or coffee.

Impressive stay at this hotel with Solaria Nishitetsu hospitality and amenties. The location is good, you can walk to many attractions, shops, restaurants, and also famous pontocho alley. The hotel is on the riverside so you can benefit the view there. There is subway station and bus stop around the hotel but for me I use taxi app which is a good choice in rainy day. For the room, I stayed in garden twin room which the room size is a bit more space if compare for the normal room size in Japan especially bathroom. At this room type, you will find a small garden space outside the bathroom window which is really relax and chill. Another benefit is that as the room locate on basement floor as same as the public bath so somehow it feels like you may have your own public bath just few steps from your room. No need to change the elevator from your room to the public bath. Also this is the plus point because the elevator for most of guest rooms will be another wing while this wing will use only for the guests who stay on the basement floor and public bath user so no need to take a long wait in rush hour and check out time. For the con side, it happened that there are stains on the window so the garden view may not that clear. Plus it on basement floor so the room may not that bright as in upper floor. Overall the cleanliness and comfortable of the room are good. Double check the open hours of public bath day by day! Luggage free service, recommend to contact hotel in advance

Great location

Clean and comfortable spaced room walking distance from shops and nishiki market as well as train station. Bed was very firm and pillows uncomfortable. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was okay; range of western and asian style foods.
