Great stay. My girlfriend and I went just for a few nights and had a wonderful time. Very cool hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful. We ended up adding one night to our stay. Can’t wait to return.

Staff were very professional and friendly. We had to head back to Tokyo one day early due to typhoon. They understood our situation and gave us the refund for the last day even though it was a last minute decision to leave early. The rooms were clean and had very comofortable bed. The location of this hotel was perfect as well. We will consider staying other Celestine hotels in Japan because of the experience that we had at this hotel in Kyoto.

Highly recommend. Good size King room. One of the best buffet breakfasts’ we have had in the world. All the western food options as well as delicious tepenyaki and chicken. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location, walkable distance to town and temple market

We enjoyed our stay at the Celestine. The staff was very nice and polite and the check in experience with fresh tea was a classy touch! We were also escorted to our room whilst showing us the hotel amenities.

This is truly the perfect place to stay in Kyoto. It has a very Zen energy, Including everything from the staff, the design, the fit and finish in the rooms, and the amenities. We will definitely stay here again. It is the perfect jumping off spot for great sites around the Kyoto area. The breakfast buffet is fantastic, and the chef who prepares it is a gem. Really the perfect place!

One of my favorite hotel experiences ever. The greeting alone was so warm and thoughtful as they grab your bags and let you sit through check in. Service is impeccable. Rooms are a delight. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Wonderfully located as well.

Location is good & its nice property ( think doubletree by Hilton type ) but at just over £300 per night without breakfast it was without a doubt overpriced
We had a ground floor room ( it’s called 1st floor but the ground floor is basement ) beside the lift, the lift was not troublesome but the room was dark & you could only see the sky by lying on the floor by the window, limited hotel facilities, makeshift bar in the evening , they need to manage expectations if they are going to charge over £300 per night room only, there are better hotels nearby for the same price, we did not stay during blossom week or golden week, just a normal time, disappointed, would not return

Check in was a breeze. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Free transportation to and from Kyoto Station. The location was perfect walking distance to Hokan-Jo Temple. Going to the Onsen late at night was a perfect ending to a long walking day.

A hybrid of modern and traditional hotel located in Gion. The Kodaiji temple is visible from the hotel front and within 7 minutes of walk. Most of restaurants, train stations, and main attractions are walkable within 15-20 minutes. The room was clean and well designed to use small spaces. Housekeeping came daily and there were complimentary snacks and drinks. Overall a fantastic stay!

The staffs of the hotel was very nice and helpful. On the way to the hotel, my wife left her phone in the taxi, she was very upset and panic, the person at front desk helped us to get the phone back. I have been Kyoto three times, I would say this hotel is the best, if I come to Kyoto in future, I would stay this hotel again.

This hotel was a real gem. A very Japanese feel to it. The breakfast was out of this world and as it was buffet style it suited me perfectly with my allergies. All ingredients that could have affected me were written beside the dishes. It was a very tasty breakfast.
I indulged in the tempura dinner menu and it was scrumptious and worth the price.
I would definitely stay in this hotel if I went back to Japan.

Service upon check-in was excellent and the room was spacious and clean. We opted to include the breakfast buffet which had enough variety to easily support 3 or 4 visits.
