Highly recommend staying here. It is literally right next to the subway so you can easily catch the train to NY. It was also super clean and the bed was like sleeping on clouds. The staff was super friendly and they have a restaurant in the building so you do not have to go far for food. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

Someone set off a false alarm at 7 and a very loud warning came on repeatedly preventing any chance of sleeping. I stayed there because I went to a wedding nearby and got in late, so being able to sleep late was a top priority. I complained to the to the manager, Octavia who said the most she could do was give me 10000 points on my Hiton Honors acct. Hardly makes up for paying 300 plus for all that noise and no sleep.

-Beautifully designed and decorated spaces.
-Friendly and youthful front of house staff
-Comfortable large rooms, good beds
The Not So Good
-The shower was difficult to control the temperature, either boiling hot or freezing cold.
-The television must be strictly streaming, the live stations were constantly lagging, freezing and out of sync.
-The breakfast is terribly overpriced and lacked quality.

My second time staying here, a very lovely hotel! It's easy to get into the city with the path being right there. It's also walkable to a bunch of Jersey City restaurants as well. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. A place to be in Jersey City!

Beautiful hotel. Staff pay attention to detail in all rooms. It’s very chic, and functional. The lighting details are amazing. No hotel has that. Hilton is simply the best, and canopy is my fave Hilton hotel. Got drink vouchers for birthday as well, that was a sweet surprise. Love everything about Hilton.

We stayed here during the global IT outage and room keys weren’t working. Not their fault and their staff was great in his high stress time of having to escort every guest to their room every time. Kudos to the staff.

My family was very pleased with our stay!

We arrived at 4:30pm, check in was 3pm and our room still wasn’t available. We weren’t able to get into our room until 6pm. We were there for 4th of July festivities and lost a few hours because of their delay. 3 floors in this hotel had no A/C and they offered us a room with no a/c if we wanted to check in immediately. Who wants no a/c in the middle of summer (90° day)? I had my dog so we needed a room asap that had a/c so we could enjoy the fireworks. The room we received a/c never got colder than 73°. Definitely disappointed that I used so much of my points/dollars for a mediocre room. Hilton do better!

We stayed there during the jersey marathon and that was the worst part of the trip ngl. All the streets around the hotel was blocked because of the marathon so we couldn't get to the destinations that we wanted to go with Uber. Other than that it was a great place to stay. Safe, quiet, close to a metro station. I think the train ride was only 15-20mins to go to Manhattan. Not bad.

The hotel was true to its description. Property well maintained, prompt service and friendly staff. With a walking distance from the beautiful NYC skyline viewing point (exchange place) can’t ask for a better hotel at the price.

Unfortunately the hotel had an issue with the AC. The room I booked was affected and me and my family ended up taking a smaller room. The staff was amazing throughout the whole situation.
I will recommend Canopy for anyone that wants to stay in Jersey City.

Good hotel with good amenities and an EXCELLENT location. Feel assured that staff is attentive 24/7. Be even happier that you are only seconds from Grove St. path station and great coffee, minutes from the jersey city waterfront and the legendary Jersey City bar scene, and one booking away from one helluva good time. Of course there are things to be improved upon (with any place you may stay), but speaking as a guy with reasonably high expectations, I will consider staying here again on a future visit to north NJ. Giving this hotel the most solid 8/10 and a “highly recommend.”

Our stay was ok. We were close to where we wanted to be to enjoy the 4th of July fireworks. However, the AC in our room was not working and they couldn't move us to another room.

This hotel was Everything, I loved it, beautiful decor, friendly staff, clean hotel and rooms, excellent food. All around a wonderful stay, I will go back again!
