This place has a great free breakfast and friendly staff. It is beautifully decorated, charming, and cozy. The live plants that decorate every inch of the courtyard attract the most adorable little birds that wake you up with their songs. We felt like we were transported back in time.

Beautiful hotel with an elegant but comfy bohemian vibe. Staff was extremely helpful and offered many recommendations during our stay. Free water was very appreciated, and the free breakfast was extraordinary.

Great hotel To stay in the middle of the city! The area feels safe, although be aware of locals trying to sell you at every corner. Property is old but well maintained, though floor tiles are broke so hopefully it’s fixed in the future. Staff went above and beyond in terms of customer service, specially front desk, Yesenia! She made our short stay very pleasant. Will definitely stay again.

This place was amazing, great location, decoration, good breakfast. My only complaint was the smell in the first room we got, it was very humid, but Michelle got us a better room and we were more comfortable.

This hotel is located right in the heart of the area called "Zona Colonial" which meant everything was within walking distance. Breakfast is included, which is a plus. However, the a la carte menu looked so good we had to try. I am glad we did because it was delicious! Theu also have a restaurant bar which opens at 11:00 AM. The staff was always super friendly and ready to help. The only thing I would add is that the hotel is made in such way that you could easily hear everything going on around you. It did not bother us at all, but if you are a light sleeper this might be an issue. In conclusion, we absolutely enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Unfortunately, the hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay. The workers finished work at 8:20pm and resumed the next morning around 7am. We are early risers so it didn't bother us too much but there was debris, tools, and equipment all over the common areas. Right after we arrived the water for the whole building went out. Myself and another guest were stranded at the sink with soap already on our hands so the employees helped us finish washing with some backup water. It was restored later in the day and thankfully did not happen again during our stay. Otherwise, we were pleased with the location, price, and aesthetics of the hotel. The staff could be friendlier, especially when there is a language barrier.

We arrived in the middle of the night bet 4-5 am and the gentleman at the front desk was diligent and polite. Thank goodness they have a great crew serving at the bar and the breakfast area, they are amazing, respectful and welcoming in every aspect. WARNING Stay away from the manager she’s the worst attitude and this is why- We made a reservation at the bar area for family and friends(group of 7). After me and my wife sat down at the designated area reserved, the manager came over and asked us in a very rude way to get up because she had that area already reserved to someone else even after she was told by her staff that we had made that reservation since early in the day. She then engage in an argument with my wife and was super rude to us for the rest of the afternoon to the point we had to ask for the check and took our group of 7 business somewhere else. The owner should re evaluate the manager capabilities to manage this place. SHAME ON HER.

Amazing stay! At the heart of the tourist spots and lively night life. The bar at the restaurant had great drinks for a calm night in. Would come back!

We loved our stay. If there was any take away, it would be the noise level during the night and early morning (but our room was on the street side) it really did not bother me because I love to feel the Dominican vibe! Lol . Highly recommend the Dominican breakfast!!!

Loved our stay minus the fact we had the room infront of the building and the noise at night is super loud! Cars passing by with loud music, honking non stop etc

We liked the feeling of staying in a former colonial era home converted into a hotel. The hotel is diminutive and so are the rooms. The lower priced Expedia rooms are on the “Third Floor “ and a challenging climb of stairs as there is no elevator. Second floor rooms cost extra. Select wisely! The staff is friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good and sufficient. It included fruit, juice, eggs, bread, butter, preserves and coffee. Location is excellent for visiting on-foot all the historical sites on our list. A half a block walk away is Calle El Conde & Parque Colón, the heart of Santo Domingo for centuries. I recommend it and would stay there again.
