I'm a frequent traveler to Japan and usually stay at business hotels. I've been to other Sotetsu's, and can honestly say that this is perhaps the best Sotetsu that I've stayed at so far. Excellent English speaking and attentive staff. Excellent breakfast. Nice clean rooms. Great location. Highly recommend to businesses travelers or those within budget of this category of hotel.

For such a good price the service was excellent. The staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel was extremeky clean, and the bed was so comfortable.

The staff were friendly and amazing. There’s also lots of good food in the area and easy access to trains and buses. However the beds were some of the worst we had during the trip. Definitely woke up sore each morning. Bathrooms were nice though. Slightly bigger than other places we stayed.

Lovely clean and quiet hotel, walking distance to train station and central kyoto. Lots of vegan and vegetarian cafes nearby. Check in and out was friendly and easy.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Our room was more spacious than others we’ve stayed at in Japan. An assortment of amenities were available including Pajamas, face and hair products! There is a limited amount of laundry machines and microwaves though so it’s better to take advantage of local laundry services or convenience store microwaves to save time.

We have a room with a little bit more space then the room of our friends at the same floor. The hotel is quite new. There are enough USB charging points in the room. Unfortunately the USB at my bed side was not working. The breakfast is quite good, Enough Japanese and western food to choose. Location is good, 1 stop from Kyoto train station and walking distance to the center

The location is excellent. Close to the station and nishiki market and quite a few historical sights. The staff are amazing from front desk to breakfast, very polite and professional. I have stayed here now for a month and would stay here again in the future.

Overall, I had a good stay! Staff were very friendly and had a small restaurant on the first floor. Rooms were clean and one stop away from Kyoto and Gion station. However I had some minor inconveniences. First, walls were very thin so heard everything in the hallway and on the street. Second, location was relatively good, around a 5-10 min walk from two stations no shops or restaurants in the area. And third, bed was rock solid! Wasn't an uncomfortable sleep, just shocked me.
