Barbara and Tom were amazing hosts. Treated you like family. We had an amazing supper with excellent service. Catered to gluten intolerance. Beautiful scenic view of the ocean from room and common area. Would highly recommend

Waking up to a beautiful sea view in a property that met all expectations was one of the highlights of our trip to PEI. The service extended by the staff and owners was remarkable and personable. We highly recommend staying at 45steps.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Barbara and Thomas are excellent hosts. We only saw post check out that they had sent us notes prior to checkin. They’re very on top of things, gave us great recommendations and the place is absolutely beautiful.

Beautiful property and hospitality. Barbara and Thomas made sure we had everything we needed, and gave us plenty local suggestions. Room was very clean and generously sized, comfortable bed and amazing views. Looking forward to coming back.

Wonderful two nights here exploring the area. Perfect room with beautiful sea view, the bed was the most comfortable ever, as were the pillows. Owner/chef Barbara very knowledgeable and helpful and a very well stocked library. Dinner and breakfast both delicious, home made jams and bread ,cheese and cold cuts for breakfast. A beautiful place to spend time!

This is a unique wonderful place. It feels a bit European but very much PEI. The location is magical. The accommodations 5 star and the hosts of the Inn are exceptional at what they do. Do not miss the dinner service! It is a place to reset and enjoy the finest of what PEI has to offer.

Amazing location for views of the sea. Hosts do anything to make the stay more comfortable and were amazing with the kids getting breakfast setup, providing a nighttime book and generally interacting with them. Super clean and very welcoming and luxurious!

What fantastic experience. The Inn is a destination in itself. Be sure to check out their website to see pictures of this phenomenal property. It's similar to a Bed & Breakfast, but much better. A huge, very contemporary, but warm ocean-front home - with separate hotel rooms. You can stay in your very new & clean room - and then avail yourself to the amenities of the main house Inn. There is a fireplace, library, and living room all over-looking the ocean. However, what brings this facility to life are the host & hostess / owners of the Inn. Barbara & Thomas - both European - are dedicated to making your stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast is included with your stay. And, if you like, Barbara will prepare dinner for you - at the time you wish. She is a professionally trained chef and her dinners are superb. They are great hosts - we were hugging and almost crying when we left - like leaving family or good friends. Highly recommend this Inn.

The pictures on the website doesn’t compare to the beauty, peaceful,cleanliness and charm. The hosts are so accommodating, friendly and welcoming. Wonderful breakfast and outstanding dinners. Very comfortable beds . I truly loved spending time with both the hosts and their gorgeous place highly highly recommend staying there. Feels like home and serene atmosphere. I rate this place a most definitely “10” . I will definitely be back. All the property is surrounded by the beautiful ocean from the living room, dining room, library, and the rooms. Absolutely gorgeous all around. That you so much for the hospitality of making us feel special.

My wife and I stayed for 2 wonderful nights. The attention to detail in both the rooms and meals was fantastic. It is a beautiful location and the owners Barbara and Thomas made the stay incredibly enjoyable. We would definitely stay again.

Stunning Property on the coast in a rural setting! The owners were super pleasant despite getting ready for Hurricane Fiona. They made us feel welcome. Our room was beautiful with ocean views through the floor to ceiling windows. All the amenities of a big hotel in our room like a mini fridge and coffee/tea bar. The owner also walked us over and showed us everything when we checked in. Beautiful furnishings and linens very comfy place to stay. Breakfast was great - wish we would have booked supper the night before. Wish we would have more time to stay and enjoy and check out the area but the time we did spend was fantastic!

If you are staying in Prince Edward Island, you must stay at this beautiful inn. Modern accommodations, large rooms, comfortable beds, and listening to the waves hit the shores at night, you will not find a better place to stay on the island. Breakfast is served every morning and dinner available at night by the gracious hosts. I wish we could visit this amazing every weekend. A short walk to the beach is just feet away out your back door. Every family member or friend that visits PEI will be recommended to stay at the 45 Steps. We enjoyed getting to know our hosts during out stay.

Barbara and Thomas have created a wonderful space to rest and relax. They have went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. From the beautiful rooms and views to the delicious breakfasts and amazing dinners. We were lucky enough to stay here for 2 nights at the end of our vacation and only wished we could stay longer. If in doubt, the beach really is just 45 Steps away :)

This was probably one of the best properties we've ever stayed at in all our travels. The property is gorgeous and Barbara and Thomas are such gracious hosts. The oceanview rooms are furnished with such a calm, spa-like flair that you feel relaxed as soon as you enter. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom colours and finishes including rain shower were wonderful and toiletries eco-friendly, which we appreciated. We enjoyed the lovely breakfasts each day with delicious homemade jams, and the 3-course dinners made by Barbara were absolutely superb! We also thought the choice of east coast wines on the menu was a lovely touch too. This place and its beach and views will definitely knock your socks off!

I booked, based upon the photos and the availability. Our room was actually a grand suite with spectacular views of the ocean, 2 balconies, views of both sunrise & sunset, grand shower, king-size bed. Hosts Barbara & Thomas are extremely welcoming and social. Breakfast was good European style. Home cooked dinners are also offered at a price and we dined there 2 of 3 nights as nearest restaurants are 20 minutes away.
We loved this Inn and certainly plan to return. This is great value.

The location and inn are absolutely breathtaking. It starts with the wow factor as you pull into the driveway and continues through to the warm, heartfelt welcome from the owners Barbara and Thomas. The rooms are beautifully furnished with custom Euro-style pieces. The common areas are incredible (I wish I had these at home) with the spectacular views of the ocean and beach. The 45 steps take you down to a private red sand beach that is as good as any you would drive to in PEI.
The excellent meals are lovingly prepared by Barbara and the table is meticulously attended by Thomas.
This is definitely the place to go to unwind and reset your cares.

The 45 Steps Inn is the ideal location for a restful oceanside getaway. The beautiful Inn is steps away from the pristine red cliff coastline, and well away from any traffic noise. Sunrise and sunset are spectacular. The clean rooms are very stylish and modern with many conveniences. The hosts are very friendly and have a lot of knowledge about the area. Each morning they prepare a delicious breakfast served in the bright ocean view dining room.

We were lucky to grab a one-night stay here and it was absolutely amazing! The sunset, the basically private beach and the common areas as well as rooms were top notch. Barbara and Thomas made sure we had anything and everything we could possibly need. What an unforgettable experience.

If i could give a higher score, i would. Everything about the property, from the tastefully appointed rooms, to the stunning views, to the wonderful food was exceptional. The proprietors were gracious and attentive and seemd to geniunely care that our experience was top notch.
