Good value for money. Clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was basic but fine - we actually walked to the Wetherspoons just up the road. The hotel was nice and quiet and had a large kitchen, which we didn't need to use. En suite was good. We didn't have any of the issues mentioned by others - there was tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc in the room plus spares in the kitchen. Entry codes were sent well before arrival.

Decor to a reasonable standard. However:- No plug sockets by the bed. No tea bags. No shampoo, conditioner or hair dryer supplied. Summer quilt in cold weather. Heating off in the night so woke up in the early hours cold. Smokers in the building so smell coming in. And soiled chair and carpets. Extremely uncomfortable bed.

Room was cold as heating wasn’t on/working. The portable heater in the room didn’t provide adequate heat.

Quiet area. No staff onsite but no issue that needed to be addressed.

Didn’t encounter any staff, but the room was spacious and quiet with a comfortable bed and clean shower room. The complementary breakfast snacks and pint of milk were a nice touch too. Would have preferred a later checkout time though as 10am is a bit tight.

Lovely Apt

Very nicely refurbished and clean, however access arrangements were sent too late, makingnit difficult having to call a premium rate number. The last step at the front door is si narrow it is dangerous having to lean back to put the code in whilst balancing on a very narrow step. You have to sit sideways on the en suite toilet and its almost impossible to avoid touching the radiator. I scolded my leg on it. The bed is so hard and narrow (for a double) we hardly slept. Breakfast was incredibly meagre, although with a low price, i do understand that

Overall OK. Bedding, towel's and pillows very old and bathroom bin full of dubious rubbish that didn't smell too good. Free breakfast was some sliced bread butter and jam so you could make toast in the communal kitchen which was very clean. Good to have a designated parking space. More suited to contractors than a couple staying.

Convenient and cheap accommodation walkable from city centre. Comfy bed and good shower. Parking free which is a bonus. Fairly quiet considering main road is nearby. Unusual that the place was unstaffed, everyone let themselves in with a code sent in advance. Breakfast (provided in room) was minimal and to be taken to kitchen to eat.

Great idea. Easy check in and budget price, clear instructions for the rooms and door locks. The negatives were light streaming in from the street lights through the slatted blinds which I couldn't block out. The storm didn't help with the swinging bashing sign outside! No problem, ear plugs are provided which was a nice touch. However, they did not block out the inconsiderate other guests shouting to each other at midnight. Bed not hugely comfy but again, it was a budget price. The continental breakfast was plentiful and the fridge was a good touch too. The kitchen was good with microwave, dishwasher etc.

we both agree it is a lovely hotel beautifully furnished and decorated, it has been a great pleasure staying here. The staff have been very pleasant and helpful.

On arriving at the hotel everything seemed good, it was easy to get in using the code I was sent, everything looked well presented and it was lovely and warm. As I walk through the hotel to my room the air became cooler obsessed in my room it was cold. I checked the radiator and it says cold so I pulled the bed out and found that the radiator was leaking. I rung the helpline and had a long confusing conversation with a man that seemed to struggle to understand what I meant, when the call ended I was unsure if anything would be done to fix the problem. After 15 minutes in a cold room I went out to get some tea, whilst I was out the man rung me back asking me to let workmen into the room, I told him it was not my responsibility I was paying for a service not to supervise workmen so I told him I was happy for them to go in the room without me. When I returned there was an electric heater in the room. But there is only 2 plug sockets available and a sign asking guests not to unplug the fridge so I had to choose between charging my phone, using the kettle or the heater, not exactly the service you'd expect in any hotel.

I would like a refund for my stay. I got to the property only to find someone was already in the room. The TV hardly had no channels. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed ever and it was genuinely poor in every way

The property was easy to locate and the check-in procedure, with the codes provided was seamless. Parking facility, provided for each room, which is very ideal. The property is a walking distance from Lincoln Cathedral. The house and rooms were clean, and the continental breakfast was placed in the room fridge

Excellent for us to have a fridge in our room, and the availability of the spotless kitchen, with ovens and microwaves. Might have been useful to provide a couple of saucepans to heat the provided breakfast baked beans! I am not keen on eating these straight out of said fridge. Keypad entry quick and easy to use. When the heating failed in our room, I was able to call the number provided, and an engineer was sent promptly to fix it.

I feel that, in the circumstances, I received value for money. A shared bathroom would be an issue for me if I were to consider a similar stay in the future.

It was a last minute booking for a Saturday night in Lincoln during August being holiday season. The hotel was ok, room was very hotel, one of the radiators in the corridor next to our room was turned on so our room felt like sauna through out the night. We ended up had to leave the room window open to cool off but it was very noisy being close to the main road. Shower is very weak, you do need to have a lot’s patience to get yourself cleaned. Honestly the hotel was so basic I felt overcharged by what’s been offered. The location of the hotel isn’t anywhere near the centre so you do need a car or use bus.

Rough area, hairs in the bed, stain on the sheet. Breakfast left in the room fridge was pathetic, 1 white slice and 1 brown crust in a bag, both mouldy by the morning. 1 tiny cheese portion, 1 honey portion, 1 jam portion, 2 butter, small tin of beans. Juice, biscuits, cereal and drinks were fine.

Comfortable clean hotel, all facilities available, easy access and location is great with off site parking.

Nice cosy room, kitchen nice but no equipment to be able to cook on stoves. Parking good as off road but spaces a bit tight.

The hotel was easy to find and there was plenty of parking available. The room was spotless and well-appointed. There are no staff available, entry is by key code and the breakfast is provided in a fridge in your room. I like this, I don't like all the chit chat you have to have at receptions. Road outside is busy but double glazing keeps the noise muffled. Just a note: the entry door is the front door and not the door at the side where the car park is! That confuse me for a little while. Walking into the centre of Lincoln is about half an hour. At the end it gets incredibly steep but you can rest halfway up the hill. If I visit Lincoln again I think I'll stay at the Hamilton Hotel again.

We had a great stay at The Hamilton Hotel. The room had a mini fridge with breakfast items and plenty of milk for tea! The room was clean and tidy. The shared facilities like the bathroom and kitchen had everything needed. But I would say remember to bring your towel to the bathroom! I kept forgetting about that. We did find in the room we were in (number 4) that there was some noise at the entrance in the middle of the night from late returners but that's not the hotel's fault. You may want earplugs just in case if you're near the entrance though! Also, again maybe just a feature of room 4, you may need to be over 5 foot 6 to reach the pully to operate the blinds. Ultimately we would stay again as it was really convenient for us to get into Lincoln town and the room was comfortable.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The exterior doesnt bode well, but the interior is refurbished, modern, very clean and very comfortable. The fan in the room was appreciated, as was the fridge and the breakfast items. Will definitely stay again when in Lincoln.

No Hot water, No Wireless, Several hour delay in receiving codes from expedia. As it is a ghost hotel we had to ring the number out the front get the codes to get in. This took several attempts.
