We loved the biodiversity of the area and the view from our room was amazing. Sitting watching the wildlife is beautiful both early morning and evening. The family that run the resort are just lovely, very friendly and so attentive. They helped us book a motorbike, tours etc. The cafe is great food and very reasonably priced. We loved our 2 night stay and loved the fact they have fly screens on the windows and doors. This enabled us to sleep without aircon and have the doors open with the fly screens closed so we could hear the river and birds.

Only thing I didn’t like was noice from aircon but no biggy, just my personal view of aircon.

Khao Sok will hold a special place in my heart, especially the memorable stay at Phu Siab Mhok. The host, Mon, goes above and beyond with friendly service, from arranging tours to sharing local gems. Nothing, it was perfect

We booked the room because of the outdoor bathtub next to the river. It was a unique experience and was nice change after 5 weeks travelling through Thailand. The staff were very nice.

The rooms decor was dull but functional. Lighting was dim and the shower was so weak with very little heat.

Friendly and very helpful family, the view is fantastic, the bath on the balcony 🔥

La habitación tenia unas vistas espectaculares! No me importaría despertarme cada día con esas vistas. Los empleados del hotel fueron muy atentos con nosotros, quisimos alquilar una moto y nos pusieron todas las facilidades para hacerlo (trayéndonosla y pudiendo devolverla en el mismo hotel). También nos aconsejaron sitios para ver o actividades que hacer (gracias a ellos pudimos disfrutar de sitios poco turísticos) Los capuchinos están muy buenos (se agradece buen cafe). Y tenían leche de avena!

We (familie of five, w kids 15/18/20 yo) had such a lovely time here. Khun Mon and his family are just the most wonderful people you’ll ever meet. Amazing how they do everything just to make you feel at ease. The food is lovely, a lot of the herbs and vegetables come from the resort itself. Also make sure you try the tasteful chocolate-pie and cheese-cakes. We had both breakfast and dinners at the restaurant during our stay and they all were good en very well serviced. We stayed for two nights at the resort cabins with lake view during the rainy season. Great views, the hammock and bathtub on the balcony are just amazing and relaxing after a day on the lake or a hike in the forest. Rooms are clean and service is great. At night you’ll hear the relaxing sound of the river and the jungle. Khun Mon is the perfect guide for the activities in area and Khao Sok lake. He’ll arrange everything for you, form best departure times, transfers to tickets. Make sure to let him arrange this for you. He even arranged the transfer to our next destination (transfer, boat departures, pick up from pier at the island and contact with hotel).

At departure Mon asked me ‘if there is anything we can improve, please tell me’. Pff i just told him: ‘stay as genuine as you are now’.

The location, and the view

Simple

The view from our room was just spectacular! Having toured the area, we reckon this place has the best view as you could see the misty mountain and the river, even just lying in bed. Plus, the tranquility and peace of the place. If you like touristy area, we would not recommend this, as you will need a car to go out to restaurants and bars. For us, we were happy to just stay at the resort and have our dinner here, even though we do have our own car to move around. We looked at the places at the entrance to the national park and they were very touristy and too busy for our liking. The service was great, especially Khun Mon, who is the son of the owner. He speaks good English and was very helpful and gave us a lot of tips on places to visit which we would not have known as one of this was not really on the tourist radar. We had both breakfast and dinners at the resort during our stay as they were all good.

There was nothing we didn't like at all. What could be better would be some drawers for clothes and another bedside table in the room. Perhaps 2 pieces of softer pillows per person. There was a pillow each as well as a square cushion each.

Very pleasant stay for 1night in a room near the river. Balcony was super for relaxing. You are in the jungle so bugs expected to be all arrount, from ants to lizards, flies and mosquitos. We had some on the room but didnt bother as at all. Just dont leave on the table food cause it will be a massacre of bugs there. We had lunch that was very tasty and cheap. The owners was very kind and helpfull. They propose us some places arround the hotel to visit and they arrange a banboo river tour.

Location too close to the road. No taxis or scooter hire available. Not much to do there at all. You need to organize your sightseeing and use this as a base or overnight stop. The rooms are all too close together, you hear everything the neighbors do, even their snoring and drunken behavior. Horrid. When they walk along the passage or even inside their units, your unit trembles and shakes. They wake you up if they arrive late, or depart early with all their suitcases on the metal walkway. This is not a place for small children. They are disruptive and noisy and you hear everything. Shower pressure is weak and difficult to wash out long hair. Dining area furnishings are not comfortable at all. Little tables with little bench chairs. Dinner orders had to be in before 5pm. Feels like a small fast-food canteen and not a restaurant. Breakfast was just served as an undercooked omelet, we were never given a menu, or options nor consulted on what we would like to have. Dinners were tasty but very small portions.

The view from the balcony and the surrounding area in general are very beautiful. The staff exceeds all our expectations. Very helpful and caring. They even helped me with my stomach problem by offering Medicien and advise. The food was also very very good. Would totally recommend!

Beautiful room views overlooking a meandering river with incredibly helpful and friendly Hosts who go above and beyond for your every need, even waving you goodbye. The breakfast of an omelette and salad served with fruit is plentiful and tasted great whilst the menu for dinner was delicious. The Puk Kud (edible fern leaf spicy salad) is delicious, as well as the tom yum soup and fried chicken in basil. Even the pizza was very good. The rooms were spotless considering there was abundant wildlife around, the aircon kept the room a perfect temperature all day and night along with a fridge, kettle and hairdryer. The host spoke amazing English and was incredibly helpful with our choosing of what tours to do and helped to organise them all leaving it an effortless process for us. I am sad to leave and hope them all the best.

The only negative from a westerners perspective is the beds were slightly hard, but that wouldn't put me off coming back if we ever get the chance.

The best part of the stay is net on the balcony :) you can sit there and watch nature with beer (which is already prepared in minibar). Staff is extremely helpfull - especialy Mon! we stayed only one night but je helped us to arrange trip, found van for us and showed us everything around hotel. We were traveling to the lake before breakfest so he prepared sandwitches for us 🤩 Fivestars hotel from this point of view. Bed was very comfortable! Nature around was beautiful.

Position is in the middle between national park and lake so for both you have to travel (but they can arrange it for you easily). There is no infastructure around so be prepared for this, bonus is therefore no turists around. For us the river was little dissapointing - sure because of the season - it was dry and not very nice.

The family who run the hotel are super helpful and go out of their way to make sure you are being looked after giving helpful advice and booking taxis etc. The photos don’t lie the view is as you see it and the amount of stars you see in the evening is beautiful

Beds are a bit hard.

A small hotel on a very scenic river bank with a great view of the mountains. Several houses are buried in the beautiful relic jungle. Very quiet, very picturesque. The bis breakfast was balanced and tasty. The owners showed utmost care. There was a very friendly atmosphere, like visiting friends.

There were little things that did not spoil the overall, good impression. However, I would recommend the owner to change the showerhead, replace the kettle because it turns off automatically and remove the plastic cover where the smoking area is, it can be a fire hazard.

Everything was amazing!! Very polite and kind and helpful owners !! Really advise this hotel for everyone! The view was amazing!!!especially in the mornings.
