Stunning spot on the waterfront in beautiful viganj . Bedrooms comfortable and with added aircon a bonus . Pool area great for all and large enough to find your own spot for some peace and downtime too . We particularly liked the front of the house and the patio garden for dinners and drinks - to have some lights set up over the table or some recharge lamps would have made this perfect . Having bikes to roam about the village as part of the property is a treat . My only observation is that the kitchen is very tired and could do with a revamp and some new pots and pans and crockery as this is a large family rental I believe the kitchen needs to work harder and be a Little more user friendly We would stay again and loved our time there with our family

We had a wonderful stay at the villa, the village was beautiful and the house and pool were lovely. The kitchen was well stocked and the rooms were great as well. Bozo was very helpful and always there if we needed advice or help or anything! The only thing was that there was a strange smell, a bit like sewage that appeared at some hours during the day and was stronger in the top rooms and sometimes outside as well. Other than that we had a wonderful stay, thank you so much!

We absolutely loved our stay in Viganj. The villa is wonderful, with good sized bedrooms, a large, comfy kitchen/dining/living area along with shutters and air conditioning to keep cool. We found ourselves spending most time by the pool, in the large shaded and relaxing seating area or stepping out the front gate to swim in the sea. A mini supermarket is within 5mins walk (also where the water taxi departs), and multiple restaurants are within easy, flat walking distance. We also enjoyed using the bicycles and kayaks to explore. As 2 families with young adult children, the location and villa were perfect.

This is a very special villa in a stunning location with everything on your doorstep. Very well equipped and spacious with a beautiful pool area. Loved not hiring a car and going everywhere by boat, kayak, bike or walking. Great night trip to Korcula to watch the Sword Dance. Highlight was a day out on Ivica’s Watertaxi, Island hopping, swimming, feeding deer and catching Octopus. It was the perfect holiday!

We had a great family holiday at Villa Rosa. The property is in a wonderful location, has an excellent layout and stunning views from the front and back. The pool and patios are ideal. Everything you will need is in walking distance - a little shop, cafes and water sports. Bob, the house manager, is friendly. The smaller details which make a difference could be significantly improved. These would include having a working hob, a fully equipped kitchen, a clean fridge and oven, maintained sports equipment (the majority of kit needs attention to be usable), working side lights by the bed and a handbook for the house. Once the property has had a bit more attention, we would wholeheartedly recommend this as a perfect holiday destination.

Our experience in Viganj was magnificent! The house was beautiful and a great location for meeting kind, local people. The market couldn’t be closer, the sea cleaner, or the atmosphere more restful.

Lovely property in a great location. Bob was very helpful with any information we wanted and even took us out on his boat to a great restaurant with delicious food and we swam in the cove. An idyllic peaceful area but with restaurants/bars close by and a supermarket only 200 meters away! A word of advice though, don't go for the spit roast lamb at restaurant Montun, it's almost turned me vegetarian!! We all had a fabulous holiday and will definitely be back! Thank you!

Shame not all the bikes were rideable and only one kayak useable.

We had a lovely stay here, we went as a family of 8 with 2 children with us. The villa is beautiful and the outside area is great. Its a fabulous location for restaurants and water sports. I would say the pool isn't child/ non swimmer friendly as there is no shallow end and it is too deep to stand up anywhere. Also parking at the property was a bit of an issue as there was only 1 spot outside the villa and the rest of the parking was up steep steps, not ideal when your carrying kids etc. Bob was great, very friendly and sorted any issues we had immediately. I would also say that for the price we paid it would of been nice to have a few little extra touches... like maybe beach towels, better stocked kitchen etc. But as I said overall it was lovely and we had a wonderful week away.

We had a delightful stay in Viganj, the house lived up to expectations, it is beautifully proportioned and well equipped - the weather was gorgeous and although almost everything was either closed or closing for the end of the season, we found plenty of places to go and plenty of places to see. I SLAUGHTERED my partner at table tennis, cards, kayaking and hiking (can you slaughter someone at kayaking? no matter, he'll never read this) and we had friends over for BBQ's and lazy lunches - Bojo was really helpful and turned up as if by magic exactly when we needed him... We loved the coastline and the sunsets and would be happy to book this place again - We would, however, love to silence the 7am alarm call from the bell tower.....and some new chopping boards and a few feather pillows for princesses like me wouldn't go amiss!

We are a family of 10 adults staying at Villa Rosa. Before we even arrived, Sally had been very helpful by phone and email by answering questions regarding our booking, the villa, boat hire and surrounding area. We even discussed options on how to get to Viganj from UK and potential days out (one of which was Mljet, which was fantastic!) The neighbour Bozo was waiting to greet us when we arrived and was on hand any time that we needed help with anything during our stay. The villa is very well appointed and while tastefully modernised, you do get the feeling you are staying in a real piece of Croatian history, especially with the beautiful stone walls. The AC units in the bedrooms were very useful for getting a good nights sleep too! The rear garden and pool are immaculate with beautiful stone walls and patio. Villa Rosa has everything on its doorstep: the sea, a mini-market, fresh fish from the quayside, great restaurants, the ferry and sunsets. Having the use of the bikes, sailing dinghy and kayaks added another dimension to our stay. It was great to go explore further afield by bike on the very safe seafront road, and we enjoyed our morning swim, sail and kayak sessions with the whole family in the clear, warm Adriatic Sea all just 10 paces from our front gate. A few small minor points were: not many cups and bowls etc for such a large group; the pool is same depth throughout so not ideal for non-swimmers; no food prep area next to the (fantastic) BBQ and no dining table at the rear. Need to be quiet after 9pm because of neighbours behind the property. We really loved our time at Villa Rosa. The whole Peljesac peninsula is a wonderful part of Croatia and the best wines come from here. It still feels unspoilt and there are no huge holiday complexes around! The village of Viganj is busy, but quietly so, without huge crowds; a real good spot to unwind and relax. The worst part of staying here was having to leave after two weeks, but we all took very special memories with us to keep forever. We would definitely recommend Villa Rosa to anyone looking for a really special Croatian holiday experience.

The location was fantastic. It was wonderful just to cross the quiet road to get to the jetty and the sea opposite the property. The well stocked shop was 100 yards away and there were a variety of local restaurants within walking distance. We were able to travel to the island of Korcula using the passenger ferry which stopped just outside the shop. We were also able to hire a boat for the day from the nearby travel agents and were picked up from outside the shop. It was great to have use of the kayaks, mountain bikes, table tennis table, bbq and pool. The outside space was well designed with space for dining, sunbathing and shady spots. It was a short walk to the windsurfing school where they catered for beginners. We hired cars to get from the airport but we only used them once to get to the bay of Loviste as there was plenty to do in and around Viganj.

Spreading over three levels, with lovely outdoor areas in front of and behind the house, the villa enabled our group to spread out. The covered seating adjacent the pool offered welcome afternoon shade. Although we only cooked the occasional breakfast, the kitchen was well equipped. It was great being handy to the shop for cold drinks, and to the wharf for jumping in for a dip.

A fantastically beautiful home in the centre of the village of Viganj . Everything was perfect in the house and the 'toys' provided were put to good use - bikes -pool - kayaks -table tennis . The house is 2 minutes from the sea with a lovely jetty to sit on . Lots of little beaches along the rd 2/3 mins away. The sea in June was the clearest and warmest I have ever swam in for the time of year. The village has a wonderful vibe to it - very laid back - you won't want to leave. It is uncommercialised and so pretty especially with all the blossom trees in bloom Bob the caretaker was charming and took us in his boat to Korcula and collected us late at night - a star. The supermarket is 3 min walk away and is very well stocked. Restaurants of note - Forte - fabulous fish, no menu and reasonable The Villa is located in an excellent position and the photos on here do not do it justice. We were there with my sons and partners 25-33 yrs and they all loved it They all tried windsurfing and paddle boarding at Water Donkey who were very helpful For a large party to holiday you can't beat it. The owners were most pleasant and prompt in all my dealings with them I can't recommend highly enough Thanks S & J

The house and outside areas are excellent and as described. Having access to the bikes and canoes made the holiday with everyone enjoying them daily. The village is very pretty and the locals friendly hoŵever when visiting in October all bar one restaurant/bar was closed (orebic provided more that were open). I'd definitely recommend both the area and the villa.

Our stay in Viganj was our first visit to Croatia and we can't wait to come back. What a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The Villa was great, the people were great and our vacation was a total success!

This is a lovely old, spacious, airy, well-equipped house and we loved the glorious views from our bedroom window. The owners have done a fantastic, thoughtful and sympathetic conversion, so its modern inside but still retains a great deal of character. It was immactulately clean when we arrived with lovely fresh cotton bedding and towels. A very-well equipped kitchen was much appreciated - we were catering for vegans, vegetarians and meat-eaters. We did not use the barbeque. The beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms that had air conditioning were nice and cool in the evenings. With a large group, it was great to have 4 bath/shower rooms. We were a group of mixed ages - ranging from 18 to 66! Villa Rosa was absolutely ideal as it catered for all our needs. The younger (and not so young) thoroughly enjoyed the use of the Pico sailing dinghy, the kayaks and bikes. The older, less-energetic ones could relax around the pool or in the sea in or out of the shade. Loads of space inside and outside. The village is incredibly laid back and at one end there are centres for wind and kite sailing. We didn't participate but it would be a great base for anyone interested in this activity. The local shop (just 100 yards away) is brilliant and amazingly had quite a random range of goods, including a good choice for our vegans!! We went twice to an interesting fish restaurant called 'Forte'. Otherwise there are some great places to eat very nearby with good choices for kids, such as pasta a pizza. We loved Croatia and we loved Villa Rosa. We do hope to go back. Would thoroughly recommend to similar groups like ours!

We arrived to a warm welcome from Bozo the neighbor who acts as the caretaker. The property is much more impressive in person. We quickly settled in and started to enjoy the laid back location and great weather. The village is very pretty with everything you need in easy walking distacnce. We did venture out to restaurants, wineries and the Island of Korchula among others. All were amazing, the dollar goes along way in this part of the world, which was a pleasant suprise. The only small issue we had was mosquitos as there had been a lot of rain since it was early in the season. We highly recommend The Croatian coast and this propery. Enjoy!

Two families from Norway with six children (4 - 14) had a great holiday in Villa Rosa in July 2015. The villa is as nice as it looks on the photos, with a barbecue area and a small pool in the backyard and a front area over two levels. The property is well looked after and easy to live in – it’s not crammed with the owners personal property as some rentals are. There is a small shop with the basics and a bit more virtually next door. We had a rental car for the week, but hardly used it. Although shopping in the supermarkets of Orebic is a bit cheaper, it is possible to take a taxi from the airport and shop locally. There are a number of small, surprisingly decent restaurants along the waterfront. The beaches across the bay are busy with watersporting tourists, but the jetty and area just down from the villa is very quiet and pleasant. Remember to bring bathing shoes for the children. Looking at the map before we arrived, we were a bit worried about the traffic on the road, but there are few cars and they drive very slow along the waterfront. Note that the two bedrooms and bathroom on the ground floor have a separate entrance. You have to go out and up the outdoor stairway to get to the rest of the house. This was no problem other than for the logistics of organizing all the kids into practical subgroups. There is a small sportsground by the school behind the villa. A good spot for early morning and late afternoon games, at least during the school holidays in Croatia...

We had a fabulous family holiday at Villa Rosa at the end of June. The villa is an attractive traditional house, with great outside living areas, in an unspoilt village. It was lovely to have the use of the pool, although the sea is just outside the door so we spent much of our time in there, and on there, in the kayaks. There are plenty of little restaurants within walking distance. We particularly liked Bota 1865 in Kućišt and Konoba Forte Viganj, eccentric with excellent fresh seafood.

Lovely house, beautiful village with everything on your doorstep yet blissfully unspoilt. Perfect family holiday space with something for everyone. All the toys were well maintained; we enjoyed of all of them. The caretaker was very welcoming and helpful. Only drops a star as the dishwasher was not working and we had a problem with wasps.

We were three families that stayed one week at Villa Rosa in the village Viganj. It was a lovely big, old style, house with a nice pool/poolarea for our kids. The house met all our expectations andwe had a lovely stay. The area was calm and very beautiful. We can really recommend it!

We spent one week in this beautiful house, even thought we were 2 families totallly 10 persons including two smaller kids it never felt crowded. This place is something special. We had a very nice stay. The private pool was fantastic. The neighbor Bozo took us on a boat ride that was amazing! We all miss this place and will definitely recommend it to other friends.
