From the time I drove up I was treated exceptionally well. The lobby and other areas are beautiful and clean. My husband and I had adjoining rooms with 2 daughters which made our stay very comfortable and convenient.
I’ve stayed at the Fairmont before and will make it my usual stay when visiting SF.

Rooms were huge and well appointed. Even for the level of Hotel, the mini-bar was absurdly expensive. Lack of hotel bar open all day for food was frustrating.

Reception were v kind, but didn’t get me WiFi access codes & failed to tell me that the hotel gym would cost sb additional $20 (what??).
Also, great bath products (Le Labo), but towels smelled really bad/funky.

I have stayed here twice now for business, and it is my preferred hotel as it is not direct downtown or Tenderloin, but very close, as I no longer feel safe as a solo woman in SF. It is a shame what has become of this city, but this hotel is a good option.

The Fairmont is a beautiful hotel with a grand feel. You are treated like a special guest as soon as you drive up. My room was spacious. My only slight issue was the placement of the TV. It wasn’t to the right of the bed when you lay down to relax which made it harder to see the screen.

We left a different (cheaper) hotel to stay here because we had stayed at The Fairmont years ago on our honeymoon. You get what you pay for! The Fairmont is clean, beautiful and lovely as ever, and the neighborhood felt safe and clean. We were so happy to stay here! We had a beautiful room, great service, and really enjoyed our time here.

Not worth the money, very small bedroom, extremely small bathroom. The cheapest pillows and bedding. I asked for a foam pillow, they said yes and just put more layers of pillow case… Not bad but many other hotels in the city are way better and way cheaper, just go and take pictures, don’t stay

We were booked on the wrong date, I rebooked thru the main desk for 0ct 6 instead of Oct 5. I was on the phone for 2 hours, we need a refund, very upsetting we couldn’t get anyone to help us yesterday, late when we realized it. It’s our 40th anniversary and we have stayed many years. Hotels.com needed to reach out to us after being bounced around on the phone to many different people with no resolve.

It was an amazing experience. The room service was fabulous, view of the city was beyond what we expected. We loved it and can't wait to visit again!!

I have stayed at the Fairmont a couple of times now. I like the restaurants and coffee shop and access to a great full service fitness center. As for negatives the coffee in the room (nespresso) is quite bitter. I was a bit disappointed that I didn't know that coffee was included in the coffee shop as part of my resort fee until I was checking out. Also disappointing was the fact that the direct TV has a dispute with Disney and a bunch of channels were out including ESPN during the US Open! Other then that everything was amazing!

We love the Fairmont. The property is beautiful. My two biggest complaints are their drapes dont shut and their toilet paper sucks lol. Come on Fairmont, let me sleep in past the crack of dawn and show the hienie a little love with a softer grade sandpaper in the bathroom. Otherwise, an awesome place to stay!

There was a lot of trouble at check in. They refused our credit card on several attempts and even when our bank assured the desk agent that our credit card was good for the charge, they still did not process the card. Also, they did not pick up that we had already prepaid and still persisted with entering multiple charges on our non - US based credit card. Perhaps better front desk staff training would have avoided the challenges we entered at check in.

The property seemed understaffed (we unloaded ourselves and pushed the luggage cart to our room, etc. The room was dated, the bathroom did not have ventilation and none of the windows opened so it was very stuffy. Basically it felt like a once lovely hotel that has been woefully neglected for a long while now.

The Fairmont in all its affordable opulence was well worth the stay. Everything from the staff to the property upkeep and the fabulous comfortable room with a view made it an amazing weekend!

It’s such a lovely old hotel. Gorgeous. Only thing that was a drag was that there is no bar open in afternoon. It opens at 5. I would have enjoyed a cocktail in the gorgeous bar after a day scaling those famous hills!

Beautiful hotel was my thinking as I walked through the lobby to the front desk. The room was as expected from a fairmont. Beware of touching items in the room, the tablet, the stocked fridge, the snacks. If you remove them you are “conveniently” charged as they put it. lol
I wish the stay was longer, it was a great place to stay. Did not dine or use their services as it was a pit stop on our road trip. Loved it.
What I didn’t like. I couldn’t keep my own drinks cool in the fridge. So ice in a bucket it is. Keep that in mind.
