Nice value hotel near the athletic complex of University of Iowa. Shuttle to games, so a great place to stay for a night or two for the big game. The staff is extremely friendly (Midwest nice). The rooms show their age a bit but beds are comfortable and the whole place was quiet.

Greeted by the hotel staff, they are friendly and helpful in navigating the surrounding area. The shuttle bus was a bonus as well.

Everything was great except for its time to clean the carpets in our room. My barefeet felt like I was walking in mildew and they were very dirty on the bottoms after walking on the carpet.

The Heartland Inn felt a bit more upscale than I had expected. It was clean, well-lit, comfortable, and looked well maintained. We needed only a place to light while traveling from Massachusetts to Minnesota, and it fit the bill well. We checked in after 10PM after driving 800 miles, and everything was ready and seamless, which, if you have ever driven 800 miles in a day, is priceless.

We had a great stay at the Heartland Inn. We booked a hot tub room and it was huge! So relaxing and comfortable. We'll definitely stay here again when visiting Iowa City.

We were passing through during a road trip and booked the jacuzzi king room last minute, couldn't beat the room for the price! A little outdated but it was definitely a great deal!

Loved our overnight stay on our way through Iowa. Got there and was warmly greeted by LaLa at the front desk, and they were serving a nice light dinner. It comfortable and clean and very welcoming. Will definitely be back!

Great hotel for the price. The property is a little old with thin walls, but most people there are going to the UI hospitals in some way so it's not much of a problem. They have a UI patient discount when staying and a free hotel shuttle! My only issue was being next to a high traffic exterior exit door, so I recommend earplugs in that case.
Really nice staff. Good breakfast, and they even have dinner certain weekdays. Water pressure was great!! Very clean, and scent free linens, which is super important for people with me with allergies. Room was cozily decorated with modern updates and I enjoyed coming back to the room every night from my conference at the river landing in coralville. Would definitely stay here again.

What a pleasant surprise to find such a hotel - I thought this type of hotel prices and service are way long time gone!
For $75 a night got a king size bed room- very large room that also had a couch, desk, coffee table, large TV, big spacious bathroom. Super comfortable bed with 2 different types of pillows to choose.
Great breakfast options with produce from local farmers!!!

By today's standards, this room was good value. It was an average room, older property updated, but still had a musty, mildewy smell in areas. A/C was loud and beds lumpy. Breakfast was popular, and some nights they even have a dinner.

For a hundred bucks, it was a nicely done hotel. Full continental breakfast with lots of options. Hallway carpet worn down and humid/musty smell in the rooms, but it was affordable and clean.

Where to begin, for an extended stay property the have absolutely no room amenities! No coffee pot, silverware, dishes! The give you two towels and to get more you have to wait till noon before anyone is available! They have a no refund policy so you either deal with it or lose your money on 6 day stay that adds up. I fell like this property has scammed me! I know now to read reviews because a 1 star is what this place is! First ever reviewer. Motel 6 has coffee in the room😂😂😂
