It was a Birthday trip. Pleasant room the pool was fantastic. Bar was good

We loved staying at this hotel. The walls were a bit thin but still worth the price point and proximity to everything in the French Quarter. Will be staying here for future trips.

Very clean, convenient to the French market, comfortable beds, nice pool area

The staff were excellent and went out of their way to help us.

The location is perfect for walking. They had festivals going on like literally on the corner. The parking is gated. The hotel is "Historic" so if you are looking for upscale modern feel this is not it. The Balcony is very small and the walls are very thin. Front desk was nice.
2.5
I loved everything about the hotel; the old charm, the location, and the entire staff. I also loved the size of the hotel; not huge and not too small. You don’t have to worry about the pool being crowded; I love it here. And the rooms are clean, nice and roomy. The location is excellent; waking distance to Bourbon Street, French Quarters, Deanie’s Restaurants , and everything else. You will not be disappointed.

It really needs darkout curtains. They are old and let kighy in. A sound machine would be nice as its so loud, u hear everything . Other than that it was exceptional. The service was so nice.

I stayed in the hotel several times before the recent renovations. Then the rooms were a bit antiquated but had a strong New Orleans vibe to them. Now that is gone. The floors are all laminated and even the exposed brick walls are painted white, so that feel is now gone. I miss that. Also parking was free for hotel guests, and that has changed. Check out time is now the standard 11AM and not the 3 PM it used to be. One thing much better now are the modernized baths; they were great.
I had a difficult time turning on the TV as the first thing that came up was a sign saying you need to sign in. That threw me, but when the front desk manager could not take care of the problem over the phone he quickly came up to the room. He showed me how to avoid the sign on screen and I never had a problem again.
One day the maid missed my room, and I ran out of towels. A quick trip to the front desk and I had a full set of towels. It was just a bit frustrating not being able to take a shower after being out in the New Orleans heat and humidity for the morning and the whole afternoon.
Another house keeping things was that they did not have any bar soap. I don't know if this is now how it's done or someone didn't order any. So to wash your hands it required using one of the little body wash bottles. When I got to the room there was just one to use at the sink and in the shower. The front desk gladly provided more though, but it was a bit inconvenient at first.

Linens & towels had stains and sweeping the room could have been better.

This was mine & my husband's first time staying at this hotel and we absolutely enjoyed our stay! The staff was super friendly & accomodating. The hotel is nestled in a very quiet area, with secure gated parking. We were in walking distance of Frenchmen Street, which has numerous places to eat, enjoy live music & explore a variety of shops. We will definitely be staying here again in the very near future!

Nice place to stay. They should disclose the price for parking on the site.

The staff is great, it is a historic property that has hosted many celebrities over the years. You would be hard pressed to find a better location a couple blocks from Frenchmen Street and the French Market.
Nice pool, convenient little bar...I have been to NOLA many times and I will stay there again.

Really nice hotel. You can hear the sounds of the city which is both good and bad. Great value for the price

Very nice hotel, very clean. Everything was nice. Opening doors with your phone is odd and slow. Had to leave early and there was no lobby coffee.

This place was absolutely amazing! I had no complaints. This hotel really captured New Orleans!

The sink was clogged. Very slow drain. Volume never worked on the TV. Other than that….. nice place and the staff was attentive. Perfect spot and able to walk anywhere you want to go. Bring an extra bottle of water for the house less. Plenty around but we came to NOLA, it didn’t come to us. Will stay here again.

This is a very nice hotel the front desk manager is name is Tyler very hard working young man great guy if you need anything while stay here he can help you. the rooms are clean and are well taken care of, the bar is nice every if you don't drink I recommend stopping in and meeting the 2 bar tender they are also very knowledgeable about the area and are great. I would have gave it a five rating but the price of the parking is extremely high. But if you need a hotel that's close to everything I recommend staying here
3.0
The good is location withon walking distance to FQ and F Market. Some restaurants are around the corner. The average is the room itself. The bed is comfy but the room had no NO ambience. The mini fridge was on the bathroom counter and with only one plug there you had to unplug the fridge to use the hairdryer and a shaver etc. Never was the meager toiletries respplied. They do not offer coffee after 11am. There is no continental breakfast. The staff is pleasant but understaffed. There is a bar open til 10 or 11pm. There is an outdoor pool area which is nice if you take time to have a dip.
This could be a great hotel with some minor improvements.

Beautiful hotel. Staff were very friendly. Loved the pool area. Not too far to walk to Bourbon Street.
Parking is free on the street but a pain for fear you’ll get a ticket or towed if you don’t want to pay $45 tax a day to park in their lot. Due to the busy holiday we decided to park in the lot. I totally recommend this beautiful and quaint hotel.

We live in New Orleans, but our AC went out and while waiting for a part to arrive, we chose to stay at Le Richelieu because we had always wanted to see the inside. Famed for its beautiful antiques and art collection within the hotel, we were stunned at the beauty and richness of the common rooms of the interior. In contrast, our room was rather stark, which was actually very refreshing to the senses as it is easy to be overstimulated. Considering the price was absolutely economical (it was summer rates), we were shocked by the high value that we recevied in return. We would absolutely stay here again and will recommend it to our friends and family when they visit.

I chose this location because it had parking in the property. However when I checked in I was told the lot was full and could not park there. I had to park at a different location and walk to the hotel.
