None of the common areas, including dining and boutique areas were air conditioned, bath not air conditioned. tried to get wash cloths, hand towels and they never appeared. I got a towel run for a hand towel. Never could get anything more than slightly warm water for bathing and showering. The large tub was actually located in an outside environment which you had to go through to get to the bathroom. The large tub was coated with foreign material and had to be washed before use -- which we never did because of not hot water.

The property charged me a surprise fee to have a guest in my room. This fee is per guest. This was not disclosed when I made the reservation, otherwise, I would not have made the reservation.

It is an excellent facility to stay specially because it is placed in the historic old city

The hotel is Beautiful. The room smelled like mold, and wasn’t cleaned properly. They only have street parking.

Lovely historic building brought back to life. safe area, friendly staff. Irwin was a great hotel representative and spoke good english.

The attention and costumer service provided by the staff. Elizabeth the chief , erwin ( front desk clerk) and the entire staff go above and beyond .

This is a very family friendly/ kid friendly place to stay. Staff, specifically Irwin, goes above and beyond to make the stay comfortable and convenient.

Charming colonial B&B in historic old Santo Domingo. Absolutely beautiful and quaint , however if you are someone like me that requires modern day amenities like hangers , iron ,a hair dryer, big mirror and extra bright lights on top of the bathroom vanity, you might find yourself a bit desperate. They definitely need better lighting throughout the rooms, especially the bathrooms. But if you are comfortable traveling with a back back and just splashing water on your face and not worrying about anything else, then try this property. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly.

Well located. It’s more a good B&B then a Hotel. No private parking. One day, Breakfast took one hour to be served.

The staff was excellent, Andres front desk, Carolina was the best, makes a good freak fast. I loved the little shop the have. Walking distance from everything, safe. If you need wifi in your room this is not the place, but they do have good signal in the lobby. I love the structure of the, beautiful old buildings, I do recommend more outlets to plugs in electronics. But other than that, I had a great time, I would go there again.

This hotel is in such a good location. But the owners are simply trying to save money by not doing basic maintenance on any part of it. They didn’t take credit cards, the room was 1/5th of the advertised size, the toilet did not flush, the hot water did not work, the bathroom can be seen from the lobby… and on and on and on. Do yourself a favor. Stay next door at the Belini. It’s expensive but it’s professional. This place is like staying at your dirty neighbor’s house.

Nice hotel, perfectly located, clean and nice staff.... BUT I feel cheated: The room had no wifi. I informed the receptionist on this, and she told me that there were other rooms with good wifi signal but they were better and I had to pay more money (A wifi booster does cost less than 20 US$) At some point the lady told me that they were not suppliers of internet. The included buffet breakfast was not a buffet breakfast. They served me bacon and scrambled eggs, but I was not asked. So it is what you will have for BF, wether you like it or not, no matter you are muslim or vegan. The receptionist told me that is was because of Covid. Well I have been in other hotels in Santo Domingo and they had buffet or at least they asked you what you wanted. When I attempted to pay with a credit card, they told me they had a surcharge of 18% unless I pad with cash. So, all this together, made a bad experience despite they had everything to be a good hotel.

This was a very nice boutique hotel. The staffs are pleasant. Its not a 5 star hotel, but a nice cozy boutique hotel. There are street parkings available.

Ridiculous room, the bed is on the 2nd floor, you have to use a steep staircase and to be careful not to stumble. The door is perforated, you hear the noise outside the room, as if it is in the room. For breakfast they serve egg without salt shaker, unbelievable...

El hotel es hermoso ! Me encanto el desayuno y las atenciones . Tiene una hermosa boutique que puede sacar a cualquier a de apuros . Durante mi estadía estuvo lloviendo mucho por lo que no pude disfrutar de la piscina ni de la parte afuera del hotel mucho . El hotel es antiguo y esa es parte de su belleza pero había mucho polvo en la habitación especialmente en el abanico de techo lo cual tuve que limpiar yo porque nos estaba causando alergias. Queda en un lugar muy céntrico y eso me gusto ! Las habitaciones necesitan un poquito más de amor eso es todo !

The people here are the best. Nice, accommodating, helpful in every way. We loved the location. Walkable to all the sites in Santa Domingo. The rooms are small but very clean with great A/C. The hotel is beautiful. There was a modeling shoot in the pool area during our stay. Will be our go to place in Santa Domingo...

Great place to stay with the magic of the colonial ambience

Colonial style building with a lovely courtyard and very friendly staff. This is not one of those overdone, chain-style hotels. It’s modest, tasteful, and an excellent choice for the proce-point.

Everything was great with the exception of the room, we reserve the suite with at least 6 month in advance and when we arrived the gave us two rooms I/o of the suite.

I tried this hotel which I liked and another one, boutique Palacia , Which I like even better. Nothing wrong with this hotel and much right about it . I would recommend either. I’ve previously stayed at the Sheraton but it is very nice to be right in the old colonial zone.

Boutique hôtel in center of historic Santo Domingo . We like the pool in the middle of the internal courtyard, the deck of the roof with fantastic view of the town , specifically at night. Upgrade of the furniture of some rooms is needed. This hotel has a charm and is perfect for small budget.
