Well appointed apartments, have stayed before. Service is always pleasant and the rooms are clean and comfortable and located in a convenient position.

The lower level garage concrete floor was very dirty with much spilt liquids. Needs a good power hose.
I would also get rid of the straw placemats as they were very dirty and impossible to clean. Replace with types you can wipe.
Otherwise the room was clean but the lounge room could do with a bit more art on the walls.

The rooms needed updating. The shower position adjustments were seized, there was dust on power sockets in the bathroom and dust on the pipe beside the washing machine. The place needed refreshing.

My stay at the mantra was disappointing and disgusting say least, the room was extremely dirty. There was blood stains and other stains of God knows what on the doona. There was dirt and debris around the unit. The floors in the bathroom were sticky and there were cobwebs on the windows. We had nothing but troubles with the entrance gate into the parking lot often it would not work and if it didn’t, we’d have to wait many minutes or walk up to request the front desk open it. The bed was unbearably uncomfortable and due to these factors we cut our stay short and drove home 3 1/2 hours at 11pm because we could bare spending another night there. whilst the staff were lovely, this does not equate for the distressing negative we incurred.

A lovely place to stay with all the amenities to make you feel as comfortable as being at home. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

There is a terrible stench as you get out of the lift on level 3 which gets worse as you enter the room. It smells very much like wet carpet. Or perhaps it’s very old and disgusting carpet. The room is simply awful. Bland and empty - makes me think it’s what a jail cell would look like. Cheap rug, cheap dirty table. Nothing nice about it at all. Perhaps a nice standing lamp in the empty space could help slightly. Was kept awake at night by the train noise. Would unfortunately never come back.

I have stayed in quite a few Mantra Hotels and by far this was the worse stay.

Ran out of toilet paper and milk.
These need to be replenished or in cupboards for a two room apartment. Especially as housekeeping is not offered daily.

Check-in was fine. I would suggest as parking is crazy in the Gong. Incorporate parking in the price of your stay. I think $287 a night fair with parking, when mentioned x-tra for secure parking, that’s strange. All should be in the room stay.

Convenient for a day stay over in town. Wished there was a ramp as there are a bunch of stairs to enter the reception area and I didn’t park in the garage. Basic 1 bedder room with huge balcony area, living room could be a bit better and looked a bit uninviting, place was very clean bedroom and shower pressure was good.

A mix up with my booking meant I asked for a high floor but put on the ground floor, then the staff had no record that I’d checked in at all.
My dog was concerned because other dogs had marked the hotel room. Furniture and carpet bore clear signs . The air freshener had been sprayed so abundantly that I had a headache my entire stay and I could not open the door as it was on the ground floor - not a single window for ventilation .
My dog did not enjoy her stay, and neither did i

Great place to stay. Pet friendly and very comfortable. Close to main part of town so very convenient even without a car. Apartment had everything we needed.

Mantra Wollongong is definitely showing its age now, and post-Covid is definitely lacking in fit and finish. Very run down, rooms with lots of maintenance issues, poor lighting, broken door handles, and a small cockroach problem around the kitchen area. Carpet is piling and worn, rooms are falling apart, and this single-lift building is very worn. Needs a lot of work to bring it back to feeling like an actual 4 star hotel, which it isn't right now. Staff were lovely though, and parking was super easy.

Great sized apartment style 2 bedroom with kitchen. Older beds and furniture but reasonably clean. Staff are wonderful and helpful. Location Right opposite station good if you have a car as shopping on other side

The customer service was amazing, the apartment we had was very tired and needs some TLC the rooms are quite hot and you will need to sleep with balcony doors open to keep cool. Some of the cups and cutlery were still dirty but nothing a quick wash would fix. It was a quick short break for my family and overall I prob would not stay again.

Apart from a good sized apartment, this property is a detriment to Accor hotels: a brand and loyalty killer. Cleanliness is awful and you get the dirty feel from the moment you arrive, park your car & walk the hallway. The expectation is already set and upon entering the room, that expectation becomes reality - paint peeling on window ledges, mould on window ledges, mouldy shower tiles, soap scum on shower tiles, cobwebs galore, heavily stained furniture, moisture damaged vanity laminate, stained carpets, stained walls. Hold every glass up to the light and you’ll see nothing clean and possibly the previous guests lipstick stains (like we did). I’d be embarrassed if I were the Hotel Manager and this was the product I was selling. Stay elsewhere in Wollongong, won’t be hard to find better.
